Sorry to say, the food wasn't good. Got Hot and Sour Soup. Also an Egg Roll, Egg Foo Yung and pork fried rice. Soup was so damned SWEET! Inedible. Threw it out. Egg roll had no crunch. Underwhelming. Fried rice didn't taste fresh. Flavor was very blah. Egg foo yung was not good. Drowned in a vapid, greasy sauce. Very little flavor. Vegetables were really overcooked. Don't waste your money here. I wasted over $20. Don't make my mistake. I threw all of it away. read more

This place has gone downhill. Prices have skyrocketed and quality and quantity has gone down. The teriyaki is half a skewer- about 2" long and dry as leather. The pork fried rice must sit all day, and is just over cooked mush. Even the duk sauce is so watered down it doesn't taste like anything. The boneless ribs are all fat. The crab Rangoon is just cream cheese- they don't even have the decency to add something red to make you think there's crab in there. Just horrible food. It's too bad. Pre covid I'd order from there at least once a week. They're screwing their customers right to their face. The fact they covered up the window looking into the kitchen makes me suspicious too. Food is great had friends visiting they raved about it also. The crab Rangoon can't be beat. Big and crispy.

I'm really disappointed - every Christmas we look forward to getting Chinese takeout from Lucky Corner. This year we ordered giddily @ 11am and this was our order: Pupu platter Gen tsa chicken Pork fried rice The pork fried rice was delicious as well as the crab rangoons but otherwise we were shocked at how much the chicken was drenched in sauce and the sauce did not taste like it usually did...just overall not as good. read more

Order was wrong for second time part of order was missing, I even asked if the extra duck sauce and hot mustard were in the bag I should have asked if all of the order was there. I had to leave my family eating dinner while I drove back to get the rest of the food. They refused to refund me and give me the food for free due to the inconvenience of having to go back, I took the money and will never order from this restaurant again. read more

I love lucky corner their crab ragoons are stuffed with cream cheese! The duck sauce is the real duck sauce not sweet and sour sauce. I drive over an hour away to buy my Chinese food from them it's so good and no one has Chinese like they do! We always get the pupu platter for 2 sub eggroll for chicken fingers, LG pork fried rice, and LG crab ragoons. The best! Always made fresh and done in 20-30 mins! read more

I stopped in at Lucky Corner for lunch takeout. This old school Chinese restaurant is very low key, which offers takeout with open kitchen and a spacious dining area with self seating and free hot tea. I ordered the Luncheon Special 3: Chicken Chow Mein, Pork Fried Rice with Egg Roll ($5.75 plus tax). The good amount of food was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The chicken chow mein (in a separate styrofoam bowl in the container (good idea) had a mix of sprouts & shredded celery and pieces of boneless chicken (a couple had gristle). The pork fried rice was generic, which had a mix of soft rice and roast pork pieces (red food colored). The egg roll was filled with plenty of ground pork and finely minced cabbage, and seasoning, not greasy. Overall, the food was okay. read more

Was eating here yesterday when a nice group of special needs kids started to be screamed at by the manager of the restaurant. Insisting they were bothering other guests, they were not. The group started to leave and he screamed at them from the table to their van outside. scaring the kids and making a fool of himself. This is not a restaurant that should have the support of you hard earned dollars. read more

Lucky Corner was where it was at for Chinese food growing up, and into my college years. I know they have changed hands a few times over the years. We went today and hadn't been in probably a year and a half. The food was horrible, fatty, tasted old, the rice tasted like cigarette butts if that's even possible. We won't be back, Hawaiian Isle has proven to be the ones to get our money when we're going to go out for Chinese food. I've gone through six or eight antacids since we got home. read more

Ive been going to lucky corner for years and ive always enjoyed it but im now scarred for life and probably can never eaten rice ever again....we found a Live yes LIVE maggot crawling around in our food. When I called to let them know they acted like it was no big deal as if it happens all the time! When I went back in to get my money back they had a book packed full of refunds they need/ had given. Maybe if they had felt bad or even said I don't know sorry I'd feel a little better... but from now on ill take my food sans maggot please. Lucky Corner is a clean, no frills Chinese restaurant. It's primarily takeout, but there are enough tables that it's never full. I prefer it to Hawaiian Isle (down the street), other people in my office disagree. They have a few very busy days when they have a shortened menu. I think the day after Thanksgiving and New Year's Day are their busiest days but I'm not sure. The food is good, the people are friendly, and the prices are right. Works for me. Quick edit (1/6/14): This review is old. Lucky Corner has since had a big fire and was rebuilt. I don't know what it's like now, but Lucky Corner was good back in the day. read more

Never again. Asked a few questions (Hahn) was his name I think, he was so rude and actually handed me my $ back and said you don't like go elsewhere. I just asked him if he can give a few suggestions and said he was busy. I wasn't yelling or mad I just talked to him like a human and he treated me like crap. Best Chinese I ever had. Spear ribs tender, chicken fingers golden brown, shrimp fried rice tasty. Customer service is great. I drive here from NH. Look at my meal for 12 bucks with a coke. Don't tell me this is less that 5 stars because your on crack rocks. Go for yourself. read more

I used to love going to lucky corner but now I don't think I will be going back anytime soon. My bf called to order us some food and he got nothing but attitude on the phone. Once he got home we started to eat our food and as I was eating my rice I felt something hard and sharp, once I spit it out I realized it was a staple... I am so happy I spit it out! Eating in is ok, but its best to take out and enjoy at home. The food is pretty good, standard chinese american fare. We have been coming here for years now and we still go every once in a while. Its inexpensive and fast. They also are open on most holidays that other places are closed on. read more

If I could give this restaurant less than one star, I would. My sister has special needs and attends a program nearby. Today she came home and told me that some kids and a staff members were yelled at by the restaurant owner. One of the kids has autism and was clapping just simply because he was happy and the owner apparently yelled at them to get out and saying that they were disturbing another customer. That customer then told them that they didn't complain. Then the owner continued yelling at them and followed them to their van. Disgusting to see how this restaurant treats kids with special needs. This place is good. It has excellent egg rolls. The pan fried noodles are very tasty. We like to come here for our Chinese food.

So I went in person to this restaurant to get a to go order. I asked for two plates and a side order of BBQ Spareribs. The order taker said to me those BBQ ribs are with the bone, I said "Yes that's what I want, on the bone BBQ Ribs 1 order" I waited for my order, the place is rundown, they have hot tea in a coffee urn in the dining room. I cant decide if this is a plus or not. I was the only person in the place (I now see why) when he said it was ready I asked him for hot mustard, he said it was in the bag already. I asked "are you sure?" I went to open bag and he was adamant so I left with the bag, the person paying asked specifically for it so I wanted to be sure it was there. He said yes yes its in there don't worry. When I got to my destination not only was there no hot mustard but there was no BBQ spareribs either. When I called about the issue he said I never ordered BBQ Ribs, I then asked why did we have that conversation about the ribs being on the bone then? He had no answer and said there was hot mustard...of course I looked twice and there was not. Now I am the one that forgot to ask for mustard... No apology no nothing, just hung up on me at the end when I thought he might say I will deliver the rest or make some apology. The food was passable, the Crab Rangoons better than many places, however the General Gao chicken was very spicy and I like spicy, it was too powerful for everyone, and the chicken fingers were reheated or old, fried rice just fair and lacked any touch of a chef who cares. I'm on a quest to find a new chinese restaurant since China Tea House was closed due to a fire in Methuen. I saw this on the way to Longhorn Steakhouse and decided to give it a try afterwards. I hate to invest alot in a restaurant that I didn't read anything on Yelp on so I got a dinner special for about $8. Food was OK. Crab rangoon was a little funky tasting and fried rice was light brown which is a big turnoff. Boneless ribs were pretty good and the chow mein was a little dry without alot of sauce. Place is an old bank and works like a sub shop. Go up to order and pay and they'll call you when food is ready. Really wish the food was better as it would've been a good option to go for a quick dinner when in the mood for chinese. read more

10 years here, I've visited lucky corner 2 times only. I love Chinese food but never too into the Polynesian American Chinese food. Lucky corner is the average place to go when you're in a hurry, and low in cash. Self serve tea, no waitstaff to tip, clean, and very fast with the order. It's like going to McDonald.
