    Grilled Mahi with crab topping
    Elaine F.

The restaurant offering seafood and more is located in the Marriott Residence Inn and has both inside and outside dining. The fried oysters were served on the shell with a bit of aioli slaw garnish. The crusted grilled mahi was topped with crab and drizzled with a lemon sauce. Our server was very attentive and the view from our table was great! The setting of G & B Dockside reminded me of the song "Sitting on the dock of the bay watching the tide roll away". Nice place to kick back, relax and enjoy a meal.

Wanted to try something new. Was here before when it was a different restaurant. Happy to find out it's the Be Nice Hospitality group. We sat inside- beautiful view of the intracoastal. The outside is also with beautiful views of the water. Although they have fans, it's a bit too hot for me. Anyway, we started with grilled octopus & beef carpaccio. Both were very tasty. For the mains, I had the lobster roll & instead of fries, I had zucchini that came with olives- a very unique combination that was delicious. Hubby ordered grilled halibut & polenta with zucchini. He really enjoyed it. Definitely a place to come back to- service was also very good & helpful. Really giving them 4.5 stars. See you soon!

You ever walk into a place already planning your five star review in your head? That was me pulling up to G & B Dockside. Fresh off a run of great meals around town from other restaurants in the be nice group, including our go to at Foxy Brown, expectations were not just high, they were doing backflips. And then the plot twist. Let's start with the good, because it deserves it. The patio on the intracoastal is a knockout. One of those views that makes you slow down mid sentence and go, "okay yeah, this is why we came." If vibes alone earned stars, this place is untouchable. Now the food. Calamari to start. Flavor was there, I'll give them that. But the breading had commitment issues. Completely fell off the calamari like it had somewhere better to be. What you're left with is limp, disconnected bites that feel like two separate dishes arguing on the same plate. Two of us ordered the crab encrusted mahi with kimchi sauce. We compared notes and landed in the exact same place. Overcooked, a little tough, and oddly underseasoned. The kind of dish that makes you keep chewing and wondering where it went wrong. The kimchi sauce though? That showed up ready to work. Bright, interesting, and the only thing keeping the dish from slipping into full disappointment. My wife went lobster roll. Perfectly toasted bun, golden, buttery, everything you want. The lobster itself? Needed a personality. Just kind of there. Our friend had the Caesar with salmon. She loved the salad, said the dressing was spot on. The salmon, unfortunately, leaned undercooked. So even the best dish at the table came with a "but." Here's the headline: this is a beautiful place to sit, laugh, and watch boats go by. It is not a place where the food keeps up with the scenery. And when the prices say "special night out" but the plates say "almost," that gap gets hard to ignore. I wanted to love this place. I expected to love this place. Instead, I got a reminder that a great view can't season a dish. Three stars. Come for the water, stay for the company, and maybe eat beforehand.

Located in the Residence Inn in Ft. Lauderdale. Found this on yelp and it was a dock side restaurant so it was a no brainer to give it a try for lunch. Very clean and vibrant with great views of the marina and boats. Our waiter was fantastic and such a great and funny attitude, definitely made the whole dining experience so much my enjoyable. Too bad the server listed on the tab was Bar L I wanted to show our appreciation for his great attentive service. Grilled salmon-9 Grilled mahi -9 Prime black angus burger -9 Service -15

Busy Saturday night, walked in without a reservation. Got a 4 top inside, I guess the dockside tables require a Reservation. The service was okay. I did request the calamari and it never came out. We weren't charged so I wasn't too upset. Salmon and crab were delicious!

This is the latest restaurant by the "Be Nice" group and Elliot Wolf, and it's a winner located right on the Intracoastal in the Residences by Marriott. Dining here you may be inside or outside on the deck, both with perfect waterway views. It has a bar that serves up good drinks and the food is also, as with every "Be Nice," location, exceptionally good. They have both lunch and dinner menus which encompass most any food one would want. I started with a Tuna Crudo garnished with orange, avocado, almond, radish and a delicious sambol cream. Then, for my entree, seared diver scallops done with purée turnip sauce and mushrooms. Both dishes were unique in flavor, taste and totally delicious. Though the restaurant is popular for its oyster selections, I looked them over and found them to be rather small in size. However, such is the usual case with oysters out. of Canada, though they had some bigger looking ones from Virginia. I have to confess, I'm hooked on the oysters out of Houston and Louisiana as served at Shuck & Dive. I really liked everything about G & B. It's unique tasty flavorful foods and outdoorsy ambiance are perfect.

We had a nice time. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was nice. There is a good view on the patio. This was a nice stop for dinner while staying in Fort Lauderdale!

Oh boy , are we glad we found this new Intracoastal place....The new venue has added a beautiful seating area, right on the water, that is very comfortable, with a great view! Our server Morgan, was so welcoming and attentive! The cocktails and Cabernet, were marvelous. If you don't order the " Scoobies" , about are $23.00 , which are Snow Crab Claws with this sensational Marinade / Sauce , served with the best Toast. You are making a mistake. We will have it every time. The NY Oysters were so good.... We had a marvelous Traditional Caesar Salad with excellent tender , flavorful Beef . The dessert, which was a Chocolate Crème Brûlée, was the best I've had; what a creation. Go; Enjoy !!

What a gem! Our server Lionel was astounding. The female manager could not have been more welcoming and engaging. Their happy hour specials are excellent. Now to the food. Everything was fresh hot and full of flavor. Everyone cleaned their plates. Highly recommend to spend an evening here you will not be disappointed!

We are big fans of the Be Nice group, so we were SUPER excited to try out this new spot. Our first visit certainly didn't disappoint. We tried a variety of apps and the short rib special. My favorites were the beef carpaccio, octopus, radiatore and the short rib. The oysters were also fabulous, per usual. Jeff our server was also a gem. We'll be back!

Xena (pardon me for misspelling her name). she was a very pleasant server, she was excellent with brining us the condiments that we asked for after we placed our order and in checking in on us as we ate our meals, she also asked if we wanted dessert..many servers seem to not ask this question anymore (not sure why). We said no thanks for the dessert, she kindly brought out the hot towels so we could wipe our hands. Just as a side note...the fish sandwiches were delicious, but we both felt that the Brioche bun was too heavy....everything else was good (considering I gave my tomato to Debbie..lol). I will say the only thing that Xena could've done better was remember that we asked for two separate checks before placing our order and that one sandwich was to be without Tomato. We also ordered the Appetizers of Snap Peas/Mushroom mix and Coconut Shrimp. (delicious). (Debbie ordered the fish sandwich-Grouper with Cole Slaw) I also ordered the fish sandwich-Grouper, but WITHOUT the Tomato, with Seasoned fries.

First course...then I got so distracted by the food I forgot to take pictures!

Everything about this place was perfect....ambiance, service and food. We were staying at the Residence Inn(not good)but the availability of this place made everything worth it! I will add all of the restaurants in this group to our list when we travel to Ft Lauderdale which we do frequently. We've already recommended it to local friends.

We had open table reservations so we were seated right away...the hostess was was very friendly as were our servers...we started with one guy but then we had another lady soon after. We ordered drinks to start...Pinot grigio for me and Corona for the hubby. We looked over the menu a bit and started off with 3 shareables..the eggplant with honey, shisito peppers and octopus gallega...The eggplant with honey was an interesting dish (in a good way) and very tasty...they peppers were good as well but my husband wasn't a fan of the octopus gallega. For the 2nd round, we ordered another round of drinks and then the pan con tumaca, manchego croquettes and octopus in garlic sauce. I loved the toast with tomato "jam" as well as the manchego croquettes...I would re-order both of these. My husband wasn't a fan of the octopus in garlic sauce as he felt it was a bit too salty. He also ordered another dish, the seafood salpicon and this dish he really loved! For dessert we opted for the crema catalana...similar to a creme brulee...it was good...I also had a latte which was a nice accomplishment to the dessert. After dinner we headed to their Hidden Speakeasy (behind the pantro door). In there we each had another drink to end the evening. They do have a food menu in there which was different from the restaurant. It would be fun to just come with a group of friends and chill for a while. All in all, a tasty meal and a fun date night!

Pulpo a la Gallega - Paprika seasoned octopus served over potatoes. It was tender and delicious. They have nightly specials and Wednesday is half price Paella, so I know I need to try this. Also, can't wait to check out the speakeasy, our server told us it's behind the door marked Pantry and they serve some great craft cocktails and lite bites.

Thankfully we were being served by the kind male bartender with the female server being sweet enough to bring us menus We made sure to have our order in as soon as asked. The male bartender was great. Friendly and made us feel welcome. I have been to this restaurant many times because I love Chimney house and these are the same owners.
