We had a great experience at Beach House Restaurant. The location is beautiful, with a stunning elevated view overlooking the beach that makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the view. It was a little warm, but definitely worth it for the scenery. We ordered the shrimp sushi roll and the fresh catch branzino. The shrimp roll was excellent and definitely our favorite. The branzino was fresh and well prepared, though it wasn't our favorite dish of the meal. Our friends ordered the burger with fries, and they absolutely loved it. The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. We've been told that it's better to eat here in the winter because it's nicer to eat on the patio, so we will be back! We landed in Ft. Lauderdale and drove over here since we were in the area. Their fish tacos were one of their popular dishes so I opted for that and my husband got chicken cordon bleu. We also got the trout dip with pita bread but I didn't get a picture of that because we were all starving and then dessert was key lime pie and pistachio gelato. I did not expect the tacos to be so big. I also got this place mixed up with another place called the beach house so I was looking at the completely wrong menu! I took a pic for anyone looking and didn't feel like clicking 4x to get to it on their website. Back to the tacos -- the slaw was very juicy so don't forget to place your napkin! The mango salsa was not too sweet to overpower the rest of the taco and the beans and rice -- we were told was cooked in beef broth so it was very flavorful! It was way too much food to eat in one sitting (although I somehow managed to down 7/8 of that gelato it's a stomach mystery! And I don't like keylime pie so I didn't try it but the crust looked AMAZING! See ya in March! The Beach House has an ideal location right above the waterfront, and the staff was polite and accommodating; especially our waiter Leo, who was informative, prompt and patient. However, the food was honestly subpar. We ordered the pecan crusted trout, which had absolutely no flavour at all. There was an almost unrecognizable light crunch, but it did not taste like nuts, much less pecans. The fish itself had no flavour, even though we tried to season it with salt, pepper, salsa picante and lemons (which we asked for in hopes of enhancing some semblance of personality). We'd also ordered the short ribs. Again, there was absolutely no seasoning or flavour, and the meat was almost dry, not stewy and tender. The potatoes were mediocre, lacking seasoning. The plates lacked any attempt at an inviting presentation. I was also a little disappointed in the wine list. They don't offer much variety, and they seem to favour predominantly California wines. The saving grace was our dessert. We loved their cheesecake topped with berries. It was fresh and creamy and full of flavour. Their espresso is nice as well. Again, shout out to Leo. We lucked out and got an amazing table upstairs and outside in a nice big comfy booth that overlooks the ocean. Our server, Gabby, was the best server we've had anywhere in a million years. She was spot on with every single detail... great personality, perfect timing, kind, considerate, funny, pretty, professional, perfection! Very spacious, multi level, indoor and outdoor seating, well versed menu, and delightful drinks are just some of the highlights of this spot. My favorite though is the upstairs stadium type seating that overlooks the beach...amazing!!! Service was pretty good and our waiter was knowledgeable and made spot on suggestions. Started with the Mint to Bee cocktail and it was strong in the most perfect way. Knob Creek, honey, mint, lemon are a delicious refreshing combo. Then came the crispy fresh catch which delivered on fresh and crispy. The challah bun was a nice surprise and the slaw was a good addition to brighten it up. This is a place we chose to go for dinner by Pompano beach. The restaurant is huge with ample seating both indoor and outdoor and ho by reservations only. The wait was not bad as it was less than 10 minutes and we were given a spot at the patio with the beach view. It was cold that day and I desired an indoor seating but it was already late and I wanted to eat. The space heaters they had next to every table made it slightly better. This is a typical Anerican restaurant so the only veggie options for us were salad/burger/sandwich and I chose a vegetarian sandwich and it was huge being ordered as a meal with fries and a drink. I'm not sure if the food or the view is a better reason to come to the Beach House. Normally I take pictures of my food, but I was so distracted by the amazing view of the pier that I forgot. You'll likely need a reservation at least a day or two in advance. Insider tip (that we learned the hard way): if you want a "nicer" table or booth, you need to put a deposit down beyond just making a regular reservation. Service was friendly and as attentive as possible during peak dinner hours. For drinks, we ordered the Sangria and the Mint to Bee. The sangria was ordinary, but the mint cocktail was very unique--we ended up ordering a second. The bar was pretty backed up, and the second drink didn't arrive until after our dinner plates were cleared. That said, our server was apologetic and kept checking in, so we knew she hadn't forgotten about it. I ordered the artichokes and the shrimp and grits. Both were very good. The artichokes were a little hard to eat--definitely not first-date food. The shrimp and grits, however, were fantastic, though be aware that it's a bit spicy. Because it's Lent, they were able to accommodate us and removed the ham from the dish, which was very much appreciated. My guest ordered the red snapper special with crab and broccoli. That was also very tasty, with a lovely white lemon sauce that complemented both the crab and the fish. While the snapper was good, it didn't quite stand up to the shrimp and grits--my guest almost kept my plate. We really enjoyed the experience, but it does come with a hefty price tag: $190 for two entrées, an appetizer, and three cocktails (plus tip). My family and I enjoy coming here for the food and the vibes. They're very accommodating with children and have high chairs and changing tables in both the men and women restrooms. The food is above average. My wife loves their kale salad that she swaps out the BBQ chicken for blackened mahi and it's a large size. The chicken cordon sandwich is good but they skimped me on the chicken which was upsetting. They have the best sweet potato fries around and they're a must every time we eat here. Beach House Pompano is a lovely spot,though a little hard to find. That may have been more my GPS's fault than theirs, since it dropped me off in the middle of A1A . Thankfully, the host was incredibly attentive and so sweet about us being a little late after I got lost, which immediately set a great tone for the experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a truly top-notch view. Our waitress was amazing very personable and spot-on with her recommendations. The drinks were fantastic; I especially loved the watermelon spritz with tequila. The watermelon salt was absolute perfection. We ordered the clams, which were great, though I do wish it came with a bit more bread because the broth was so delicious I honestly wanted to drink it like soup. This is an absolutely adorable peach front ocean front restaurant that serves actual really good food. You always wonder some people are there for the location and ambiance and the food suffers as a result, but not this place! The barbecue wings were my favorite! I also got the grilled artichoke and the fish tacos. Out of all of those, the fish tacos were actually my least favorite. The texture was there but the flavor was off. The avocado cream was very dull and the coleslaw was male based and also did not have a lot of acidity or flavor. So it was pretty much a flavorless but very crunchy flour taco. I asked for salt and pepper and lemons to try to spice it up a little bit The waiter was terrific and came over a bunch was very personable and we like to mal. The wrap around bar was a key point for their upstairs, and I love the tiered seating. There are booths on little steps down so there are three sections, on the 2nd floor alone. Great for views of the Pompano Beach pier. Was not overly expensive for the location and parking at the garage is $250 an hour. Overall a terrific place and I will go there again. I do not recommend the mint to bee drink. It was almost like a mojito which for me is way too sweet, I was expecting more of an old fashioned taste because it has whiskey and honey and mint. read more

They have a full bar on the top level, plus a few tables, but then you walk down two steps and its another layer of booths, and two more steps for a third layer of booths. From an engineering standpoint, they were geniuses for thinking this through. I had the club sandwich and it was intense. The potato chips looked to be handmade and were super crunchy and flavorful. Mine was a good choice. I know the others got the fish tacos and said they were a bit bland and asked for more lemons, salsa, salt and pepper to make them better. Mine needed nothing. The fact this has a 4.1 star review is baffling to me. This restaurant has to be one of the worst I've been to, and I've gone to quite a few all over the world and omgggg where do I start? The view was nice I guess, since it's right on the beach, but the food and drinks are the most disgusting I've had. The waitress made a point to tell us that the lychee martini was the best and lowkey through shade at other establishments lychee martinis tasting like gasoline, and you wouldn't believe it, when she brought it, theirs TASTED LIKE GASOLINE. My bf had a margarita and it was so water down, we had to send both back and got sangrias instead. The waitress comment on the margarita is that it's so hot that the ice might have melted. Sure okay!?! But how do you even mess up sangria?!? I swear they pour water in the wine because it was tasteless with some fruit. We were so embarrassed for them, we just decided not to say anything and just drink it. Then it was time for food. My bf had fish tacos and he said it was okay. Suspicious... My Caesar salad was a different story. I didn't know it was even possible to mess up Caesar salad either, it's always been my go-to, even when restaurants are questionable. Honestly they should have just bought the pre-made bags from Publix, because they decided to be fancy and grill the whole romaine lettuce and it was soggy and wet. AND BARELY had any dressing. As someone who's been to many restaurants like I mentioned, I've had it grilled before and I've never had a waitress bring me a soggy lettuce. Overpriced for terrible food and drinks. Our family of 5 all found something we loved and mostly at every last crumb. Highly recommend for seafood. I got a blackened mahi sandwich that was excellent. Also at our table we had macaroni and cheese, grilled chicken & fries, sushi, and a wedge salad with a slider. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but the food quality met our expectations. We stopped in to enjoy a late brunch at the Beach House. I had been there once before for dinner several years ago, so it has been sometime since I was last visited. We received a warm greeting upon entering the restaurant and were happy to be seated by the window overlooking the beach. Even though the weather wasn't perfect that day, the view was definitely something to behold, and the large windows throughout the restaurant gives everyone a nice view. Upstairs, is the bar area with elevated seating. Our server was quite knowledgeable and very friendly. She took our orders quickly, and it did not take long for our food to come out. I've had my share of eggs Benedict before, but never with a piece of grilled salmon. It was very delicious, and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. I had originally asked for the cheese grits, but they brought out the potatoes. It wasn't an issue because the server quickly brought out the grits for me. But I will say those potatoes are excellent. They're not too over seasoned and definitely have a smashed potato aspect about them. I'm not usually a huge fan of home fries, but these ones are worth getting. That said, I'm still glad that she brought out the cheese grits because they are phenomenal. I didn't get a huge glance at the menu, but I really hope that they have an entrée with their cheese grits and shrimp. If not, I hope they see this review and consider it in the future. My daughter ordered the crunchy salmon roll, and she said it was one of the best sushi rolls she's ever had. We dined on a Friday night for my mom's birthday at Beach House in Pompano. I made a reservation a few days in advance online . For a Friday in April the restaurant was not too busy . For parking I opted to valet since I couldn't find a spot on the first two levels in the parking garage and I had a lot of things to carry (valet $15) - note do not bring balloons into the restaurant, if you do they don't allow them at the table due to fans , they will keep your balloons in a room until you leave . They have many seating options , we sat inside , they also have outdoor seating and a rooftop . It was super windy when we went up to take a few pics. For appetizers we had a beat and goat cheese salad - was very good , a fish dip with pita - loved it and a garbanzo bean dip not my favorite and wouldn't order it again. For main entree, I had salmon with asparagus- it was a very large piece and cooked perfectly. My sister had a red snapper with broccoli which she enjoyed and my mom had a grilled fish sandwich with broccoli . I brought a little cheese Cake in for my mom's birthday and we sang at the table . For the best views go upstairs. Upstairs has a bar and dining but the dining area is stadium levels. Great open area and views. It almost feel like you have a private cabana. As long as their is a beach breeze the area should be comfortable. The menu is varies from sandwiches, burgers and some elevated items. All affordable and priced accordingly. Of course there are drunks! Just about anything you could want from draft, mojitos and margaritas. Started with the jumbo shrimp cocktail. Was very tasty with fresh large shrimp. My main course was the chicken cordon blue sandwich. It was cooked well and tasty. I did find the bacon a little flavorful and dominating in the sandwich but it sure was tasty. If I were to get thus again I would probably have the bacon on the side. Loved everything else here from the atmosphere, to the staff and friendliness.
