We've been huge fans of Lucky Goose for years! We've eaten here dozens of times and have never been disappointed, until yesterday (Sunday). We wanted to try their breakfast menu at Goose Nest and came in between 9:30-10. Right off the bat I was wishing they had their menu on the wall like they do next door. We ordered coffee, two orders of waffles one with blueberry one with strawberry (which is $1.00 extra), and two Lucky Pigs. The coffee came out first and it was ok. I got a mocha and it was super bland, went up to the counter to look for a stir stick and there were none to be found, so I decided I'd just add some sweetener, again none to be found. So I asked the girl behind the counter if they had any and she offered a sugar packet or syrup. I had her add two pumps of vanilla which made the mocha much better. A few minutes later we were in need of napkins so I got up to grab some, again none to be found. So I walked next door and located some. While waiting for our food the waitress came out and said "we don't have any blueberries, would strawberry be ok?" Which was totally fine with us! Then the food came and we were absolutely shocked to see they had just thrown a handful of rock hard, frozen solid strawberries on top of our waffles! Like what?! I immediately scooped them off but the damage was done, our waffles were cold having had frozen fruit sitting on top of them, which means the butter didn't melt or spread easily either. We still ate them, and the waffles themselves were good but definitely not as good as they could have been. The Lucky pigs were fantastic, and on par with what we've come to expect from Lucky Goose. Im really hoping the owners or management sees this so that it can be corrected with whoever made the decision to put frozen solid strawberries on waffles. Were we really expected to eat it that way? I don't know how that decision made sense, it really is not acceptable (especially having paid $2 extra). If they had come out and said "I'm sorry, we're actually out of fresh fruit" I would have GLADLY taken the waffles plain. Either way, that should not happen again to any customers. read more

This place is amazing. Everything on their menu has been top notch. I love their fries. The lucky burger is so good, and you have to try their buffalo chickn burger. Outstanding. Don't get me started on the milk shakes! This is how everyone will go vegan, with incredibly delicious options. Everyone who works here is so nice. The bottom line is this: This restaurant doesn't have a good handle on the logistics of their operation. They sell out of things, they're not open some days, and you're in for a LONG wait if you do go. They prioritize online orders instead of in-house orders. So when they tell you it'll be a 20-30 min wait, be ready to wait for an hour to get your food while you watch online orders fly out the door for people who ordered after you. Food is decent. But not worth the wait. Just get a veggie burger somewhere else and save 45 min. read more

I live in Southern California. My family and I traveled from LA to Montreal and back, (5 weeks in total). Along the way we had the opportunity to eat at a lot of restaurants. I have told everyone who would listen that the chili dog I ate at Lucky Goose was the best thing I had to eat during our travels. It made such an impression that we were determined to stop on my way back to Los Angeles. When we found out that the restaurant was closed on Wednesdays, we decided to drive 12 hours straight. The service was outstanding. I tried three different hotdogs, a hamburger, the chicken sandwich, the fries, two different milkshake. Everything was great. Bring back the chili dog! This is my second time dining in at lucky goose and LET ME TELL YOU. Both times I've come in I've had pleasant experiences with the staff here, extremely kind and friendly all around. The items I've ordered so far and BY FAR the absolute best burgers in Albuquerque and they just happen to be vegan! The French fries make a nostalgic crunch like your favorite French fries from your childhood and saying that any of the food items are bad is like saying the earth is flat (or spherical?) either way you're wrong. Without forgetting drink selection they have more than just standard fountain drinks with tea's and milkshakes (also vegan) to choose and enjoy. I like to sit and read while I'm here it's not too loud and it's an excellent spot to have a casual date, or get some work emails written while pleasing your taste buds. I first heard about Lucky Goose on Instagram. I had never eaten from their food truck prior to my first visit at the brick n' mortar. Already in the area, we walked over from Maple Street Dance Space and proceeded to enter. I'm so glad we came here instead of anywhere else on central because the vibe was higher than ever. Giving real meaning to the expression, "You Lucky Goose", I had the vegan BBQ burger, sweet fries, and a local kombucha (blue butterfly). The double patty burger was very thick and flavorful. The vegan chipoltle dipping sauce was mildly spicy. The yellow walls and repurposed vibe added to the already warm and welcoming vibe. Overall, the music was a bit loud for my Sunday afternoon taste.
