I knew of Laguna Burger from billboards. There's also a sign in the Albuquerque Airport saying that Laguna Burger is coming soon. My dad wanted a burger so what better time was there to try it! The parking here is metered on the street, all the way I think there may be a parking lot someplace close. I like what the exterior was on a street strung with string lights. There is a giant mural on the wall with the letters spelling out Albuquerque, as well as another mural saying "I love New Mexico." They had some UNM lobos gear displayed and some framed awards that they've received. You order at the counter and are given a number for your food to be delivered by the server. We got Laguna burgers with fries, a patty melt, and, of course, I had to try the green chili stew. I'm sad to say that there was not a whole lot that special about this burger. It was good, but it was like any other Burger in New Mexico with green chili on it. I have to say I did like the shoestring fries, and the green chilies do that was served with a flour tortilla was a home run. Well I return to Laguna Burger? Maybe if I'm in the area. This was my first meal in New Mexico. I enjoyed the green chili burger, my first experience. And the fries were good. A couple of tables should have been cleared of dirty plates, being there the whole time we were. The server was friendly and made the experience pleasant. read more

Stopped for lunch on our way to CA. Daughter got the bacon cheddar meal with a strawberry shake and I got the classic dog meal with onion petals. Hotdog was good but needed sauce under the dog not just on top because the bun is big and made it a dry dog. The onion petals were excellent. Daughter said the burger looked great but had no flavor. Needed more 1000 island dressing. French fries just okay. We did enjoy the strawberry shake a lot. Place was clean and had a good number of people for lunch. Staff was very friendly. read more

One of the best grilled chicken sandwiches I ever have. The flavor was great, the guac was good, the mayo tasted kind of like a garlic aioli. I did not intend to eat it all, but I sure did. The burgers are fantastic as well. Great spot by UNM campus, service was very attentive and they keep it very clean. read more

I was all ready for the hype. The interior decor is amazing and the outside feel was just impressive and comfy. Service was great but I guess we just hit this spot on the wrong night? My burger was well, well done... to the point of being as dry as Albuquerque itself. The beef burger itself literally had very little to no flavor. What made the burger was the green chili and cheese, that's it. The fries were amazingly delicious tho. My daughter described her Bomb Salmon club sandwich as flavorful but too fishy which translated to not being fresh. And believe me, she loves salmon, but this just didn't sit well with her at all. I dont like giving negative reviews, not that its a horrible burger, but I was expecting more from all of the hype I heard. Like I said, maybe we just hit this spot on a bad night? read more

Green chile cheeseburgers are mh jam, and I've been wanting to try Laguna Burger for quite some time. Had the opportunity to try the brand new location by UNM today. The Laguna Burger has a delicious half pound patty with melted cheese and a hefty serving of green chile. Toppings are nice and fresh. This tastes like an excellent homemade burger, in the best of ways. Would definitely come back. Got the onion petals by recommendation and they were great. The patio is shared with Flock Of Moons brewery next door and is nice and comfortable. The staff frequently checked on us and we're very friendly. Would definitely come back. I want to try some of the other menu items. Would like to see how it compares to the other locations too. read more

Been to Laguna Burger central Albuquerque and at the Pit recently and they are not like the one bu Route 66 Casino. Burgers were bland, chile was minimum as well as bland and the buns were dissatisfying as to texture and flavor. I will not go back. They are resting on reputation and have gotten too big where they are cutting corners. read more

Great atmosphere, great service and great food! We ordered the Laguna Wimp (which is anything but wimpy!), the Chili Cheese Dog (made with real red chili, not the canned stuff) and the Country Fried Chicken Sandwich (nice sized and juicy). We all enjoyed our meal and all agreed that the French fries were VERY good! We will definitely be back to try the chili cheese fries or the pulled pork fries as I can imagine they will be yummy! Came in to get a bacon cheddar burger, and fries! They forgot to heat up their oil for the fries and I got notified by staff, all employees working that day (01/28/2026) were so kind. The food at Laguna Burger is just amazing. The chain started at Laguna Pueblo and the burgers became popular with locals, tourists, and truckers. They have now perfected their extremely fresh burgers and are expanding rapidly in NM and have plans to expand through the SW. My server Ash was also a super nice guy. read more

I asked for medium rare, and I got well done. If I'd wanted my burger burnt to a crisp, I could've gone next door to McDonald's and spent $5 instead of $17 for a burger + fries + tip. I pay extra for the pink center and the bloody juices :-) Don't get me wrong, I really like Laguna Burger. Their meat, veggies, etc are top notch quality. Laguna Burger on Central is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Albuquerque! I love the location--it's super easy to get to--and the outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying the sunshine while you eat.
