After my encounter today, I am not sure I will be contributing to providing any type of money into this establishment based on the accusation that a self check out teller accuse me of stealing. I have shopped here for many years being that it is my neighborhood grocery store. Never have I ever encountered a situation where I have been accused of stealing, especially with someone standing right in front of me. During my scanning of items, I decided not to bag certain things being that they do not need bag therefore, a young gentleman he did the check did the scan, and he went on about supporting another customer because the person that was supposed to stand at the registers, she walked away to ring up someone else on a different register Upon her return she asked me was I going to scan the items that were left in my cart and I informed her these items were very much so already taken care of. She told me she did not believe me and requested to see my receipt and being that I had nothing to hide. I showed her and she tells me the top three items on my receipt were not on my receipt as if I did not scan them. If I did not scan them how are they on my receipt? I'm not understanding I then made multiple calls to the store to file a complaint being that that was a horrible interaction. It was disrespectful. It was rude. It was unorthodox considering you're standing right there. I shop in the store almost every day spend hundreds of dollars each week. I am disappointed. I really hope that the manager takes things seriously regarding matters like this. People make hard earned money to go shopping for their families, and they are accused of stealing it baffles me to accuse someone of something when the evidence suggest otherwise and then you act as though you don't see those evidence. On this trip alone at self check out I spent $94.48 just for me to be humiliated and disrespected !

I always enjoy going to Lucky because of the huge variety of brands that they carry, lots of parking, and freebies if you're a Lucky Rewards member. Prior to Safeway opening, Lucky used to be the only grocery store in Hercules. So you could expect that right at 5pm, the lines would be huge. Nowadays it isn't too crowded inside the store, which makes for a very pleasant shopping experience. Bakery section: I always make this section a must-go for every shopping trip, even if I don't plan to buy any bakery items. There's a wide array of cookies, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes, cakes, and more. This Thanksgiving we ordered a custom cake for the first time which looked great. For a 16" custom cake, the cost was only $19.99. Hot Food Section: I highly recommend the vinegar chicken. The flavor is so strong and delicious. I think it's a popular item because the past few times I went to buy some, they were sold out and I would have to wait for the new batch to be ready. Lucky Rewards: You can sing up easily for their rewards program online. $1= 1 base point, you can accumulate points for $1, $5, $10 dollar discounts. They also have weekly free items that they offer on the app. You just clip your digital coupon, enter your rewards phone number at check-out, and you automatically get the item free when the cashier scans it. Check-out Experience: There usually aren't that many lanes open, around 1 or 2. There are 4 self check-out stands available, typically one would be out of service.

Sooooo, I've been in Hercules for over 20 years now.... And I have never been as disappointed in the quality of service as of lately. Everyone knows there are only 5 public schools in our city. They ALL have graduation on the same week...how much more convenient can that be for a full service grocery store to just have even 5 pallets of fresh flowers for the city to buy to celebrate graduations with?? Let's just say there are 200 kids (super low ball) per school.... 200 kids X 5 schools + teachers and staff and also regular sales...... How can they go wrong with having that quantity on hand. Instead, what did they have? Slim pickings of dying / half dead bouquets.... Not even worth $2.00 a bouquet. I was so dissatisfied that I went to plan B. Lottery scratchers. And what happened??? The only game not sold out was the $5 Scrabble scratchers? Yet, whoever is leading this ship beat me to it by making sure I can't spend any money there.

Of course only 2 checkouts open and a line to the back

The dairy coolers are just below room temperature which is concerning for spoilage. The few times my spouse has bought fresh meat products there it was regrettable and ended in intestinal woe. I realize they are likely hanging by a prayer financially but I would promote sticking to packaged and dry goods at this location.

Stopped in for some cooked shrimps and cocktail sauce. I saw in the glass drawers the cooked shrimps I bought were listed at $8.99 a pound . I asked the friendly personnel behind the counter for 4 pounds of shrimps. Half way trying to self pay for my cocktail sauce. I noticed the price listed in the sticker wrapped shrimps said $12.99 a pound. ( I thought geesh it's more than the bigger size shrimps) Ran back to the the seafood department asked the gentleman how much a pound , he said he's $12.99. I informed him I could be wrong but I swore the sticker advertised price for eve shrimps I bought were listed as 8.99 a pound. .. he gave me his two cents as to why it costs this much. I proceeded to ask him can you flip that label over it should read $8.99 a pound .. Bingo!! Got him to change my prices a big $10 difference. make sure to always check their pricing before leaving the stores.

They have fish frying like at 99 Ranch :o

This family owned and operated bakery has been serving the community for over 60 years, carrying on baking traditions that date back more than a century. Their famous buttermilk coffee cake recipe has been passed down through generations and is still made the old-fashioned way today. From what I've learned, they're the last bakery in the Bay Area still making this incredible family recipe. The baked goods are amazing, but what makes this place truly special is the family behind it. Everyone is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their customers. You can feel the history, passion, and pride the moment you walk through the door. In a world of chain coffee shops and cookie cutter bakeries, this place is something rare. The history alone is worth a visit, but meeting the wonderful family who keeps this tradition alive is the cherry on top. A local treasure that deserves all the love and support it can get! Ps- I got the iced coconut chai, a FAMOUS buttermilk coffee cake and the hot chick panini. I also got a dozen assorted pastries/donuts for my staff to try. Incredible is an understatement. You're welcome in advance!!!

Anyway, I've lived in Pinole for many years now. Unfortunately with my schedule, it is very difficult for me to make it to Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe. The small handful of times I've visited I have always felt welcomed and enjoyed delicious coffee and pastries, and sometimes a cookie or two. I thank Bear Claw Bakery And Cafe for being a wonderful establishment. I just hope there is adequate room for my Service Horse to sit down next to me on the floor the next time I go. Don't worry Mike and Terry, I'll have my paperwork avaliable for you to review. If things become mob like or hostile feeling no worries either, I'll be wearing my big boy pants that day.

Every bite is hearty and it's truly a "healthy" packed portion sandwich - they do not skimp on ingredients, it's well worth the price and you will be satisfied after you consume it! To see how much Michelle has upgraded and transformed the Buisness over the years is inspiring! It's like night and day seeing how it used to look inside compared to now. The remodel and constant upgrades that have been made show that the owner reinvests heavily in the customers experience and that alone deserves a 5 star review. Me and my family will always support this amazing small Buisness.

I reached out to Eric to cater mini mochi donuts for my wedding in March and his customer service was superb. He was so personable and friendly that I just wanted to order just because of that! I ended up ordering 5 dozen minis and everyone at my wedding LOVED them. So much that I didn't even get to have any myself during reception. What stands out the most about Mochata's donuts is that the flavor is actually IN the donut itself. Not just the icing that we're all used to. And the texture? Exactly the way a mochi should taste. Flavors? ON POINT!! The toppings are very generous, especially the Cookies N Cream and Mint Oreo. My absolute favorites are Coconut Pandan, Ube and Strawberries N Cream and my husband always goes for the Mint Oreo. I haven't tried all the flavors yet but I have no doubt that they all taste delicious. I also got myself a Thai Horchata drink. I never thought about combining the two flavors together and it was super good! Now I feel like I need to try every flavor of that as well. Definitely plan to be a regular customer for whenever I have a craving

The ordering form was easy to understand and fill out, along with payment options. They delivered all the way out to San Leandro for a small fee. The donuts were good! The right amount of chewiness that I like in my mochi! The donuts have flavor infused into the dough as well as the glaze-- unlike other places where the glaze is the only part with flavor. I ordered strawberry, Thai tea and Ube. My kids loved them and so did the adults. I do wish the Thai tea and Ube tasted a little bit more like the flavor, but they were still yummy! Next time I'll have to try the horchata to go with it!
