This place was delicious, we kind of went here unplanned. They had a good variety of sushi rolls. My husband got a maki combo and he loved all three of his rolls. I got a shrimp tempura roll and a roll called the "whatever". I'll be honest I don't remember everything in it but it did have crab. They had fun serving the food.

Just tried today, Lychee Martini was good, Sushi Sandwich was good, the Sushi Selection was good. Sushi Nachos were good but I dunno, a Pringle like Chip just maybe isnt what I'd use. Maybe something more like a Wonton Chip.. Service was okay, but then again ordered a lot of Sushi so I understand it takes longer. The location is good if you're near the Mall or you want to visit the Asian Market next store over

Walked about 200 feet from my hotel to get here! Varied Asian menu with Chinese, Japanese, Thai and maybe other cuisines on the menu. The Yelp reviews on sushi are good, and that's what all the other diners were eating. Sadly, I ordered Thai! My drunken noodles with chicken wasn't bad, but there was more oil and less chicken than I would have liked, and my noodles were a bit gummy. I wouldn't order it again. If I were to go back, I'd order sushi! The restaurant itself is quite tired, and it seems like they're struggling to hang on. Kitchen is very fast. Service is brusque.

Tengu Asian Bistro - Take Out (4.5/5) After trying numerous different sushi spots in the Capital Region, Tengu Sushi has become my go to sushi spot. If you are looking for some really good sushi for a reasonable price at lunch time, Tengu Asian Bistro is definitely a place to check out. I go to Tengu Asian Bistro pretty frequently for their 3 roll lunch combo. This past time I ordered a shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, and a Philadelphia roll. The Philadelphia roll here is probably one of my favorite versions of the roll. I've ordered sushi from many places and this still holds up as either my number 1 or number 2. The spicy tuna roll again is excellent with great flavor and a good amount of crunch from the tempura flakes. The Shrimp tempura is another roll I always struggle to not order since it is quite good. I've also ordered the spicy salmon and eel avocado rolls here before among others, and they are all really great. The 3 roll lunch combo comes with your choice of either a side salad or miso soup. I prefer the salad which has an awesome dressing that comes with it, but the miso soup is also very good. Overall, I would highly recommend trying Tengu Asian Bistro if you are a fan of sushi and are looking for something to eat for lunch!

(Uber Eats delivered to my hotel on 4/12/2021.) Hanging out in Albany, NY for business and I'm feeling lazy so I'm chillin' scrolling through Uber Eats finding some place to use my coupon. Well, last time I was in the area I had a great experience with another sushi location, so I'll try a different one this time! Yet again, I struck gold! Here's why! Atmosphere/Appearance: Since I had Uber Eats deliver my food I did not have an actual experience at the restaurant. According to the pictures I've seen on Yelp this place looks pretty cool though. Service: I didn't get the chance to experience any service from the institution since I ordered from Uber Eats. Food: Alright, now to the actual review. Lol. I started with some edamame, which could've used a bit more salt to be honest, then I proceeded with 3 of their specialty rolls. First up was the Akuma Roll which contains king crab, mayonnaise and avocado on the inside. The roll is then topped with spicy salmon, avocado, eel sauce and black tobiko. This roll was delicious. It was very balanced, not too salty, very succulent, soft and just good. The combination of flavors worked very well. Next up was the Tengu Roll. Inside is spicy crabmeat, avocado and "crunchies". On top is seared sliced steak, spicy mayo eel sauce and fried onion scallions. This roll was super savory, a bit salty and FULL of so many flavors. I really, really liked the surf & turf aspect of this roll. It was my favorite of the 3 that I tried. Last, but not least was the Mr. Mango Roll. Inside the roll is spicy crabmeat and avocado. On top is mango and mango sauce. This roll was much simpler than the others and I really liked that. I loved how the spice of the crabmeat complemented the sweetness of the mango. This was a very solid roll. Value: Akuma Roll: $14.25 Mr. Mango: $12.25 Tengu Roll: $14.95 Edamame: $4.50 Sushi is usually pretty costly so that's to be expected. These specialty rolls fall right in line with the costs of other places I've been so I'd say this place offers really good value sushi for the prices. In conclusion, I'm 2 for 2 for picking good sushi places in the area! I really enjoyed my food, the delivery experience and what I paid. I will certainly be returning to check out the actual restaurant itself. Be sure to check out my YouTube channel, "The Hungry Road" for more restaurant and car-related content! Second time in Albany and w/o car and lucky me decent place right in front of SprIngHills Suites Clean and modern interior and clearly run by a friendly Chinese; Sushi Chef, waitress, kitchen and front all Mandarin soeaking, good sign! Haves a smorgsborg of Asian- see menu! Decided to go for sushi over rIce, price was reasonable, fish was fresh, rice was undercooked, veggies on were a nice touch: 4 stars

Weekend in the Albany area and we decided to go for Asian... Thai... and according to yelp Tengu was one of the places to go. Tengu is a nice restaurant with friendly and fast service. We ordered soups, fried chicken, a spring roll and Pad Thai. Because we eat Thai often our taste buds have reference points. The food is good, it is a little bit more spicy, but that's the way I like it. The Tom Yum was great! The Pad Thai didn't have the peanut flavor like others I ate... it was still good, but it could've been gooder. The wings were great, and spicy, so overall it was a good experience at Tengu Asian Bistro.

Late Sunday lunch after a wedding expo, everyone wanted sushi. Group looks to me and i remember the new place right on central near my house. Time to try Tengu. With almost all great reviews I had a feeling everyone would be pleased. The place is conveniently located and beautiful inside. A comfortable atmosphere had us ready to dig in. The menu is huge and the pictures helped big time. We settled on quite a few items. I started with miso soup, everyone else got the kani salad. both were very good. The crab rangoons were the best i've ever had for sure. i do love when they are folded this way. We also sampled the tataki plate. it was good, flavorful and spicy. our group of 4 chose 6 rolls to share. It was enough food for all of us. 6 rolls is a lot of names to remember but i will just say they were all delicious. the presentation was also beautiful. they have A LOT more on the menu besides sushi. they have hibatchi, dinners, salads, etc etc. Pretty much something for everyone. over all it was an expensive lunch, but it is sushi. It came to about $32 per person with tip. I would recommended this place to anyone!

When in Albany, come check this place out! The Yelp reviews are spot on with this one. I'm in Albany for the night, and I wanted my friend and cousin to have a good night for dining. As a Yelp Elite, I trusted my instinct and recommended this place based on the reviews. It's a Tuesday night, and things were pretty quiet in the restaurant. My friend was already seated there and we were able to quickly join him. The server came out really quickly with menus. The available food at the place is pretty extensive. Whether you're in the mood for freshly made sushi or fried noodles, they got you covered. I picked the fried dumplings appetizer along with the crispy duck. I got to try some of the food my friend and cousin ordered. All the food had great flavor and texture. Incredible yummy! The crispy duck, my favorite, had a beautiful glaze and crunch to it. The service was really on point. I highly recommend, and look forward to coming back.

    Hibachi Chicken meal
    Xenia M.

My review is based on my recent Uber eats experience. I ordered the chicken hibachi meal which was tasty and filling. I recommend getting the hibachi meals because it comes with your choice of a side salad or soup and fried rice and noodles. You'll definitely have enough for leftovers, and it tastes just as good as if you were at a regular hibachi!

I'll admit to having kind of written it off for a long time due to the weird menu/concept (it's hard to trust that a restaurant is going to serve you a burger, some empanadas and a plate of pad Thai and execute any or all of them competently), but the good people at Fusion are serving food that's truly, honestly about three times better than it needs to be (caveat: we've stuck to the more Asian sections of the menu, so I won't make any bold claims about the burgers). The Chinese portion of our family unit said that my drunken noodles reminded him of the stuff that a street vendor sold outside of his middle school, which like, IYKYK (if you don't know, this is about the highest praise a plate of noodles can get). I'm not normally a major pad Thai enthusiast, but the version here was well-balanced and flavorful, not just kind of sweet and gloppy like a lot of local versions, and the broth for the chicken noodle soup is also truly random-SE Asian-street-cart level flavorful. If that wasn't enough to sell you on this place, the draft Sapporo is five bucks. In conclusion: please come here support these nice folks so they can continue to make above-par food for many years to come.

The guy working was quiet but very nice. It's all I've been thinking about. I just want to go order everything off of the menu and try it all. This is a little hidden gem. It's funny how an upstate New York. Some of the best food I've had in a long time was in a mall food court. Can't get a dish like this at a restaurant. Gotta love Albany! Go support this place. You will be so satisfied. I'm one of the best parts about it was. It was a really really decent sized portion. A normal human would have had leftovers but I tend to overeat lol It's like $12, which nowadays is a pretty typical price point for a meal. After eating the whole thing I still felt great because it was so light and the ingredients were so fresh.
