We came to Lucky House for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away. The place is not very big but plenty of room for a large group and the place was clean. Our entrees were well portioned. Oh my gosh, just ordered the shrimp Lo Mein and it was the best I have ever had. Also had Mongolian Beef and again, so good! I had to drive 20 min to this place and felt silly and that I should have found a place closer to me but now, I will drive it happily! So worth it! The restaurant is just a small place but packs huge flavors and good portions. So look no farther, this is where you need to eat! read more

One of my favorite Asian restaurants of all time. My roommate and I went on Christmas Day of 2024, and the service was excellent. The kitchen got backed up from the sheer number of orders, but the floor team kept their cool and were very polite and welcoming. I haven't had a single thing I didn't like, but the pork lo mein noodles are my go-to. I get cravings for them specifically now. read more

I ordered the fried wontons and chicken chow mein off GrubHub. The chow mein sauce leaked all over the bag, everything was soaked, this could be the error of the driver. The chicken was mushy and lacked flavor. Maybe I should have taken this more literally but the fried wontons HAVE NO FILLING! I'm no expert but don't they normally have filling?? Someone please enlighten me if they don't. So I just got fried wonton wrappers with sweet and sour sauce. Unfortunately, this is just not edible and I have to order something else. read more

I love this little gem of a place stuck away in a hidden in a strip mall. It is like knowing a secret that not many other people know. In our capitalistic society however, I want people to know about it, because I do not want these guys going under! You can argue all you want about authentic, Americanized, Szechuan, Cantonese... this is just good Chinese food! The Wife and The Tax Deduction and I have been here many times, had food delivered and taken out. We've done it all! Our go to dishes here is the sesame beef, General Tsao Chicken, honey walnut shrimp and any noodle dish. Here is the real secret about this little place, the staff is so friendly and helpful! They remembered us the second time we arrived in the door and have every time since. The service is quick too. If you were a big fan of Taste of Asia, who has closed their doors, and you have no place to bring you your Chinese, consider these guys. The food is better and priced comparatively. I hope that Lucky House stands for a long long time. read more

When my husband went to pick up the food, they graciously tipped themselves 18%. Their prices are steep to begin with. When we opened the food, it seemed old. Spring rolls were stale and soggy. Chicken seemed like old buffet food. When I called to complain about the quality of the food, they said to come in and they'd give me a refund. Once I arrived, they gave me trouble about refunding me the money. Things are expensive, I would be happy to pay for good food. This is poor food and service. On top of that, I have a severe shrimp allergy and they clearly don't practice food safety and allergen separation. I broke out from the few bites I did eat. Yuck. read more

Probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. To preface I got delivery, I got the general tso's chicken and pot stickers. Chicken was super dry and hard. It seemed either old or sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The potstickers had no flavor and were obviously not seasoned properly. How this place has 3.5 stars I don't know but do not waste your time. Also the rice was obviously old and hard. I wouldn't feed this food to my dog. read more

Phone number doesn't work so we ordered online. This is the worst chow mein I've had in my life. We ordered the vegetable chow mein which was totally different from their other chow mein dish. It's just steamed veggies. I'm asian and have always eaten Chinese food especially being from an area with a large Asian population so I know what chow mein is. Nowhere in their description did it mention how it was done differently. When we asked if we can pay extra for the real chow mein / lo mein they said no and just sent us away. Rude and definitely won't be coming back. read more

Ordered food on Grubhub on a lazy Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. The Orange Chicken was indeed different. They were pieces of crispy chicken with a container of orange sauce on the side! Together is was good. The Mongolian Beef was disappointing. Not a whole lot of flavor at all. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was good, not great, not bad. Food came in good portions, wasn't greasy. I would say it's average. Flavor wasn't dazzling. Not wowed, probably wouldn't order again, but wouldn't have opposition to eating it again! read more

First time ordering from here. Food was prepared on time. Everything was nicely placed in paper box containers. My husband ordered the Wonton soup. It looked really good. A clear broth with ample vegetables and Wontons. He said, it was great. I had the Kung Pao, fried rice and Orange Chicken. Everything on my plate was delicious. My granddaughter had fried shrimp and Egg flower soup. She loved the soup. The fried shrimp had no flavor, that could be better. Overall dinner was good. Sorry no pictures. Next time. read more

My GO TO for crab puffs! They make the best in town! All their food is delicious, myself & family have been going for years! Super friendly service! They mostly do take out/delivery, there is a decent sized dining room - it's an old building nothing fancy. read more

I definitely enjoyed this place for the wings. I ordered shrimp rolls but I am not sure why they come with pork at the bottom. Anyhoo, the wings arr the star of the show here. I can order them and just eat that. Definitely my go to Chinese food restaurant when I feel like a drive. read more

Their food is awful, tasteless. Their spring rolls looked like fried tumors. Had the appetizer platter and after one bite not not try any other samples. The Mongolian beef had no sources in it. The house fried rice looked like run over road kill. I just waste $70 and want my money back read more

Restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated with nice music and clean white table cloths. Very nice waiters, a little kid led me to my seat and she was adorable and very polite- looks to be family owned/family worked. My food was brought out very fast (but I was also the only person there). It's in a little back area next to KFC that's easy to miss, outside door area looked a bit run-down, but they had the menus and specials posted. The two lunch special prices are pretty cheap, $6-7 dollars for a good portion of food. Food was not bad, it was ok, it didn't at all taste fresh. It didn't have much taste at all- the egg flour soup was probably the best tasting thing and it was just ok. The fried rice was very dry and didn't have much flavor. The crab puff/egg roll/sweet and sour chicken all looked and tasted like the frozen/premade stuff you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store, and none of it was good/didn't have much flavor (apart from sauce). I didn't finish any of these dishes except the soup due to the bland taste/dryness. This is not a restaurant I'd go back to again. read more

This place is not visible off the main road, but most delicious places usually are hidden. I have no complaints with this place as I have ordered many times before. They are very quick with their orders, and are very kind people. We tried this restaurant for the first time today. We are looking for a great Chinese restaurant in Vancouver. I'm sorry to say, we're still looking. We tried quite a few dishes and this is what we found. The pot stickers were fine but nothing special. The fried won ton was greasy and tough. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. The Mongolian Beef was also pretty good. I think the best dish was their Lemon chicken. However, the General Tso's and the Sesame chicken was downright awful. The sauce was good but the chicken was as tough as shoe leather. It was absolutely uneatable. Throwing out three out of seven dishes is a waste of good money. Nope, not going to fall for that again. read more

There wasn't a staff at the door, I think I would have appreciated someone coming to the front to check in with us about wait time estimations, but they only came to the front to tell us to put our name down after 20 minutes of us kinda waiting by the front. They took our order quickly, certain items they mentioned they were too busy to make, which was fine and understandable. So they'd recommend another dish in its place. The reason I mainly knocked a star is once we ordered, the appetizer came out quickly but no one ever really checked in on how we were doing, we didn't get a water refill or at least were unable to flag anyone down to do the quick bringing out of plates to other tables waiting and zooming back to the kitchen. We eventually got one of our entrees the honey walnut shrimp 15 min later, but no bowls of rice. We had to wait until our second entree came out 10 minutes later to get to enjoy our meal with the rice. I would've preferred if the rice was brought out earlier or at the same time, and trying to flag someone down for the rice was difficult. Eventually by 830 pm we got our last dish, the vegetables. Which would have been ideally eaten alongside our proteins. Wait times were very long, which would be overall fine if someone had communicated or checked back in. Food overall was fine. Honey walnut shrimp was more caramelized here, I think other spots tend to be more on the creamier side. Fish fillets were more breading than fish. Vegetables were fine overall, probably not the stunner last entree dish to finish off the night but overall fine. The appetizer beef tendon were good, it definitely has that numbing sensation with the peppercorns you find. Overall, for a Sunday night for dinner it was bustling, a lot of folks were waiting for items and I overheard other tables asking for things to just be cancelled due to the length of time it took. There's lots of tables and booths, it got fairly loud but nothing out of the ordinary of both restaurants.

I wanted to eat Chinese so bad and I have to say I was dissatisfied. In fact, Panda Express has better Orange Chicken! I wish I took pictures of my order but I was too excited to dig in. Lesson learned.
