Honestly, haven't been here even when I used to work around the area. So, today, decided to give it a try. Placed a phone order for pick up for the following: - Spicy Ginger & Garlic Eggplant - Hunan Chicken - Mongolian Beef All lunch combo, with fried rice, one with wonton soup, one with hot & soup soup and the other with shrimp spring roll. Fried Rice - DEFINITELY had better fried rice, their fried rice lacked flavors, under seasoned and bland. Hunan Chicken - found around 7 small pieces of chicken chunks, 95% of this dish was vegetables. Spicy Ginger & Garlic Eggplant - while this dish had decent amount of eggplants, it was 50% eggplants and 50% celery. Mongolian Beef - decent Overall, would have second thought about ordering from here again... but I'm all about giving places a second chance. Some day, I'll give the place a try again. read more

Affordable & perfect for folks who are vegan/ gluten or highly sensitive to things. I have literally ordered their tofu/ vegetable soup every night this week! My body needed the nutrients/ fresh vegetables/ etc. If you or someone you know is sick, or fighting cancer, get them a soup from this place. Your recipient will love you! The menu doesn't list ingredients. I ordered delivery from Instacart. I am pescatarian. Everything had meat in it. Wontons are usually crab meat and cheese but these? Pork. Was it listed? No. I ordered hot and sour soup there was no other selection offered besides spice level- and yet they served it with chicken. Additionally the wontons filled with pork were overcooked, the spring roll was basically empty of filling and I couldn't eat this hot and sour soup as it is loaded down with chicken. I called. I ordered the house special lo mein. Pretty hard to screw that up or so I thought. It was the most disgusting Chinese food I literally ever had. It was mushy and tasted like old oil. When I called to complain about it, it was like undergoing an interrogation. I was asked how long after I picked it up did I eat it. I think I was talking to the owner. Then she wanted me to send her a picture of the food. I stopped at that point. You can't hide the smell and taste of old oil. How old was the lo mein that it was like eating mushed peas? The supposed owner just wouldn't take responsibility for anything. It's rare for me to go online, but this food was so awful I had to. We recently catered a very large scale event through these folks and they did a stupendous job, so I'm increasing my review of Lucky Kitchen to a four-star. The food came on time and as expected. It was plentiful, hot, and versatile enough to accommodate all dietary needs in the large group we were taking care of. The cost was very ideal for feeding so many people. And the biggest selling point? The food tasted great. People really enjoyed everything, and it got gobbled up quickly. I saw more than a few individuals come back through for second helpings. The lunch/Dinner combo's are awesome which comes with probably 2 scoops of white/ Fried Rice , Soup or Spring roll of your choice. These combo's are $6.50- $9 range based on the meat you choose. Ordered dinner Combo's Orange Flavored Chicken with white rice , sweet Sour Chicken combo with fried rice and fried wontons($2.50) which costed me $17 in total as I got 10% discount for my Yelp Check In . Worst Chinese food ever had in Michigan. I seriously doubt if they ever washed the vegetables. The Singapore Mi Fung had a lot of sand in it. Taste of the other two dishes were also so so, definitely below average. Price is comparable with carry out from fine dining such as Evergreen. Definitely No Go. read more

They take over THREE HOURS to deliver even with a 10 dollar delivery fee and being told our food would be here in "40 minutes". When we called to check in on its whereabouts (two hours later) they told us they had multiple deliveries to the hospital as the nurses "had no food". I am a nurse at said hospital, who just got home...I assure you the nurses have food, I however...do not. Unamused and hungry. EDIT: just got our food 3.5 hrs later. I'm not really sure what is going on with the food. I attended a club event that catered their food and I ordered a dish with bean curds and stir fry vegetables. When the food arrived, my order was wrong as I only got stir fried vegetables. Also, the classic American Chinese non authentic brown sauce was salty beyond measure. It was salty to the point where my throat burned from eating the food and saltier than the blocks of salt at Cantina, which almost gave me blood clots last time. Also, I am not sure if there was MSG in my dish. I'm not against it, but if there was MSG, there was too much as I was dehydrated after the meal. I was drinking water for 6 hours which is crazy. This is by far the worst Chinese food we have ever had! We have lived in many cities and have had our fair share or gross Chinese food, but this people will forever be the worst. We ordered delivery, something simple- Pork Lo Mein and some fried wontons. We aren't fussy, and while we have tasted true authentic Chinese, we don't generally have huge expectations from americanized places. However this Lo Mein was tasteless. It seems like they ran out of their noodles and used spaghetti noodles, then it would appear that after adding the meat and vegetables to the noodles, they just added some super watered down soy sauce and nothing else. It tasted like boiled nothingness- they could get away with serving this at a hospital to patients with salt restrictions. The wontons were ok, they fried a little long but at least they were edible, though we are not sure about finishing any of it as I wonder if someone dropped the noodle dish on the floor, washed it and then packaged it for us. Three classmates and I ordered delivery from Lucky Kitchen during a longer GSI grading session. Luckily, two people from our group had ordered from them before and knew to call well in advance--about an hour before we wanted to eat, in fact. They did indeed take about an hour to get down to us on central campus, so just be aware to call extremely earlier if you want delivery. We ordered four meal combos, the total price of which allowed us to get six free dumplings. The dumplings were not great because the peel was too thick and doughy, but I don't expect much from restaurant dumplings in general so was not terribly disappointed. For my entree, I got the Hunan chicken, with plain rice and egg drop soup. The Hunan chicken is a mix of chicken of vegetables with brown sauce. You can choose between plain or fried rice, and egg drop or wonton soup. I ate the most of the entree, and was very full so saved the soup for later. A large amount of food at average Chinese take-out quality, so met my expectations. read more

My dad took me here for lunch the other day and he's eaten here several times. He proclaimed this as one of his favorite places. It was my first time here and the lunch combo prices were very affordable especially for the amount of food you get. I got the sesame chicken which was prepared quickly and came out piping hot. Why would anyone order from here twice? I ordered the crispy chicken lunch combo- spring roll - eh ok, fried rice - eh ok the chicken?! Disgusting. If I wanted mangled up chicken bones I would def order again.
