Chicken See Ewe, spring rolls, Massaman Curry
    Sarah K.

We got Friday night takeout from Tuptim and it was delicious! I ordered the See Ew, my husband got the massaman curry (kinda like a coconut chicken curry) and we got the spring rolls to split. The sauce that came with the rolls was a heavy ginger flavor but not too sweet and paired nicely with the rolls, which were crispy and flavorful inside. My See Ew included chicken and was very tasty, with several different vegetables included. I ordered it mild, but my mouth was on fire haha. I guess that's what you can expect from Thai seasoning. Next time I might get no spice. Overall it was delicious, great value and well order from here again!

Absolutely! It's one of the few Thai places in Ann Arbor where I can order Pad Woon Sen, the glass noodle base dish. I really like Tuptim's more because they add a variety of vegetables in addition to whatever protein you select.

Incredible Thai food experience here. I sincerely enjoy the wonton egg noodle soup! It had a great flavor and it was very filling. The tilapia and eggplant was good too. I also want to highlight the spring rolls! The restaurant has been there a long time is a small quaint environment. The waitstaff is nice and very attentive. The prices aren't too expensive I feel either. We had so many dishes I can't pick which one was my favorite! And the spice level, be ware as they know how to make mild have a kick.

Service was very fast. Ambiance was ok, looks like they might be moving to a new location soon. The Panang curry with chicken was very good and flavorful. Got medium+ which was the perfect spice level. The crab rangoons were good, different than a typical crab Rangoon and had more filling to wonton wrapper ratio.

It's a low key place that serves great food! The service was quick and getting a table was easy as well. The food is a great here, all the curries ate great and tons of appetizer options. The mango sticky rice is highly recommended! The ambiance is okay with moderate noise. It's a good place get nice tasting food quickly.

This is a quaint little spot amidst various great ethnic restaurants. It's not fancy, but the food is good! They serve organic chicken which was incredible only wish the veggies were fresh and not frozen. We had: Som Tam , chicken Penang and red curry with chicken. I'll definitely retro try the scallops and eggplant with tofu.

The dishes were phenomenal! It was honestly the best Thai food with Halal chicken that I've had since I left NYC. My family and I came here on Monday and ordered medium plus spice. The restaurant ambience was more casual family restaurant style. The service was good and the food came out quickly. Just to note they already had gratuity added when we got the bill. Here's my thoughts on what we ordered (all dishes I'd order again): - Drunken noodles - the noodles were cooked to perfection and perfectly spiced. My dad loved them!!! - Sesame chicken - was delicious, and nice and saucy. Broccoli was cooked well. - Honey chicken - very good, tasted more like sweet and sour chicken to me but I didn't mind. - Red curry - my second favorite! It was the right amount of spice and the chicken was nice and soft. I could taste the fresh Thai basil. Ugh sooo good! - Tilapia eggplant - My favorite dish and my mom's too! The fish and eggplant were so crispy and an amazing combo! I am definitely coming back again even though I live a hour away. A must try!!!

Consumed half an order of the red curry noodles, fairly certain I ingested a decade's worth of MSG. What was that?

But other than that, the flavors, the service, and ambiance was the same, if not better! Since the move, the space is smaller, however I love how bright and open it is. And instead of going to the washroom in the motel, they have one inside the restaurant. We ordered our favorite dishes: spicy basil minced chicken (last option on the back of the menu) and the Thai volcano shrimp... and the cute and delicious Bear Thai Tea. I usually have a hard time finding my favorite Thai dish (basil chicken with minced chicken or pork) at Thai restaurants, so I'm really happy they didn't close for good. Both of the dishes we ordered are our go tos and can't say I'll ever order anything else! The shrimp is crunchy and pretty big... it looks similar to a small cider donut... and they give you about 6, with a side of rice and broccoli. I love that they added a sauce tray that they bring out before your food arrives, in case you need more heat in your dish. I hope next time, if I have room for it, to try one of the desserts.

Their online menu does not have the pictures that the in store one has and woowee it is a lot of choices of noodles! Amongst the 4 of us, we ordered the pork tip noodle, the Peking pork (zhajiangmian), hot oil wide noodle, beef tendon knife noodle. YUM! The noodles are handmade, handpulled and you can customize the shape and thickness you want! The portions as you can see are massive and the prices are very reasonable! $14/$15 a bowl! My pork rib tips were too tough but still seasoned. I would say their Peking style zhajiangmian is pleasantly less authentic and I liked this version better than the original! It included a braised full egg, and not too much of the cloyingly sweet and intense sauce. We ordered and within 2 minutes we were served fresh bowls of piping hot noods. Our server was efficient, warm, knowledgeable and bilingual. She said I looked like a popular Hong Kong singer, like OMG what a cute compliment! There was convenient parking and it was really close to my friend's house. Highly recommend!

I recommend the soups - I love the beef and radish soup and the miso soup. The bao buns are large and filling. I like that there is an option for contactless order and that there are utensils and napkins for patrons along with free chili oil to pack up in small containers for takeout. Many restaurants today are charging for chili oil and even utensils, which I find to be absurd. There is lemon water for patrons to serve themselves as well.
