I dropped my truck off today to have new tires put on. They called to inform me they found another issue. They gave a quote, fixed the problem and had me back in my truck in no time. If you went to another shop to have tires put on, they wouldn't bother looking at the whole front end. They just put the tires on and send you on your way. That is not the case with Don Hansen's. They looked over the whole front end to make sure everything was solid. For me that is always reassuring. You don't get that at other shops. And if you do it comes with a big price tag. They care about their customers and always go one step further to make sure that you are always safe on the road. You get the feeling that you are family when they are working on you vehicle. The "diagnosis" amounted to briefly checking and SMELLING the gas cap, yet we were charged $150 for that alone. Afterward, we were told we owed an additional $75 that had not been clearly discussed upfront. When we questioned the extra charge, we were told the balance could be sent to collections, which felt unnecessarily aggressive given the situation. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency around pricing and what services were actually being performed. If you do choose to work with them, I highly recommend getting a detailed quote in writing before agreeing to anything. Overall, this was a frustrating experience that left us feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful time. So disappointing. EDIT: Sent threats and called me names after leaving this review... Screenshots attached. Saw his reply To this post, we sent $75 before you came and $75 after you showed up. That would be $150. As a woman, I'm always hesitant when I need repairs to my car done because a lot of places will try and take advantage of you figuring you don't know any better, I've had it happen before, but did not get that vibe here at all.
