Don Hansen's Alignment & Auto Service - What remained of the CV joint on my truck

This place is the BEST! Totally worth the 1 hour drive. I…read morehave had numerous people tell me they could align my truck- only to get there and have them tell me it won't fit on their rack. I explained this before I went, and they assured me that they could do it. They took their time (took about an hour), and provided me a printout of the before and after details. (It was pretty badly out of alignment) My car drives great now and I am looking forward to getting new tires soon.

They are always honest with their work and always have great prices. There is no questioning are they being honest with you about what needs to be done. To me that is always a great thing!! I dropped my truck off today to have new tires put on. They called to inform me they found another issue. They gave a quote, fixed the problem and had me back in my truck in no time. If you went to another shop to have tires put on, they wouldn't bother looking at the whole front end. They just put the tires on and send you on your way. That is not the case with Don Hansen's. They looked over the whole front end to make sure everything was solid. For me that is always reassuring. You don't get that at other shops. And if you do it comes with a big price tag. They care about their customers and always go one step further to make sure that you are always safe on the road. You get the feeling that you are family when they are working on you vehicle. Something that is rarely found these days. I will never go any place else!!! Thanks Guy's, as always you did a great job. See you in 6,000 miles for a tire rotation.

If you know cars, avoid Matt's Motor Works. I booked him for walnut blasting, confirmed days in…read moreadvance, and only at the last minute did he tell me he was a mobile mechanic. Walnut blasting isn't something you do mobile --nor is it recommended for outdoor use near homes or neighbors due to the difficulty of containing the airborne dust and debris. He showed up unprepared, hoping I'd settle for a chemical intake cleaner instead. He burned 30+ minutes talking about car trivia, pulled a spark plug with the battery still connected and the engine hot (a rookie mistake that risks real damage), and then tried running an OBD2 scan with a dead reader. None of this addressed the service I asked for--only to buy time, which he then charged me $65 for, based on what he thought was right. Transparency wasn't there from start to finish. In the end, I rearranged my schedule, got no real work done, and paid for wasted time. From preparation to honesty to execution--everything fell short. To make matters worse, my trusted mechanic later confirmed the spark plug threads were stripped from his work.

The "diagnosis" amounted to briefly checking and SMELLING the gas cap, yet we were charged $150 for that alone. Afterward, we were told we owed an additional $75 that had not been clearly discussed upfront. When we questioned the extra charge, we were told the balance could be sent to collections, which felt unnecessarily aggressive given the situation. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency around pricing and what services were actually being performed. If you do choose to work with them, I highly recommend getting a detailed quote in writing before agreeing to anything. Overall, this was a frustrating experience that left us feeling taken advantage of during an already stressful time. So disappointing. EDIT: Sent threats and called me names after leaving this review... Screenshots attached. Saw his reply To this post, we sent $75 before you came and $75 after you showed up. That would be $150. Then, sent you the other $75 today after you decided to cuss out my boyfriend and threatened him multiple times. Not sure where the hostility towards us came from, but I do hope this review helps others save their time, energy and money from dealing with someone like yourself.
