This co-op in Skagit is filled with healthy alternatives, fresh produce, and even a juice/coffee/snack bar serving up some delicious bites. I found a number of local products and beers to buy from the grocery side, and a mushroom sandwich. I cannot properly describe the deliciousness of this sandwich - you just had to be there. I also loved that the co-op's second story is filled with the most unique home and gift items you'll find. Everything is sustainable first, and they even have a decent book selection. Couldn't imagine a better place to spend my Saturday, just wish I lived closer so I could visit every weekend.

It's a neat grocery store with fresh build-your-own sandwich options, bakery treats, gifts and trinkets, wines, and a lot more. We ordered sandwiches from the kiosk where it prints a ticket to bring to the counter. You can purchase other items with your sandwich, too. We had ordered two pineapple conchas from the dessert case for a post-lunch dessert. The veggies on the sandwich were so fresh it hit the spot for a light midafternoon meal. There is an upstairs seating area, it's really quiet and private. After we ate our lunch, we looked at some trinkets in the gift shop that's upstairs too. It truly has it all!

After waiting in line for approximately 40 minutes, I finally reached the counter. Instead of assisting me, Shelby told me to move aside and made a hand gesture that felt dismissive, as though she was shooing me away. She then began helping another customer. That customer kindly pointed out that I had been waiting longer and offered for me to be helped first, but Shelby ignored the suggestion and proceeded to assist yet another customer. After beginning to help the next customer and collecting her personal information, Shelby looked at me and told me that I would need to return to the back of the line due to HIPAA concerns. The customer she was assisting even apologized to me and acknowledged that I had been ahead of her in line. Despite this, Shelby did not offer any explanation for the situation, apologize for the inconvenience, or attempt to address my concerns. I understand that pharmacy staff must follow privacy regulations and that pharmacies can be very busy. However, I felt that I was treated disrespectfully throughout this interaction. The dismissive gesture, being passed over multiple times despite waiting patiently, and the lack of communication or apology left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I am bringing this matter to your attention because I believe customers should be treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect, even when procedures or privacy requirements must be followed.

I have never found a bunch of cilantro that what so limp I had to pass it by! I also love the peeled tomatillos. Otherwise I have to buy extra because there is a bad one in every bunch. But, this is a carniceria. I stop here every time I make carne asada or birria. The meat has never let me down, and the staff. I need to stop here and just say. The staff is awesome. Last time I was in there I got in early and the place was nearly empty. The butcher walked me around the store as we discussed our recipes showing me what he used! Awesome. Then I got to try their birria. Which they only make on weekends and I have to say... I thought mine was the best before I had theirs... Back to the drawing board because it was excellent. If you get there early there is generally someone selling tamales in the parking lot. Try them as well, you won't be disappointed!

What was really nice was just how clean and spacious it was. There was a lot of space to maneuver, and lots of choices. Nothing particularly different or unique or anything that was regional here in its offerings. Came here for some beer, poultry, cheese, and other smaller items. Other than that. It was a pretty standard super center. Everything was pretty much located in the same position as other supercenters.

They pretty much have everything here, which is good AND bad, because it can be easy to overspend if you're just wandering through. I mostly shop here via the fantastic Walmart app, where I order my groceries (or whatever else I need) to be delivered - almost always within two hours or less! The app even has meal planning and recipe tools, and (since I use it a couple of times a month) can also suggest meal ideas based on what it thinks I already have. This cuts down HUGELY on food waste and on grocery expenses. I really like this tool! As for the store itself, it's always clean and well-stocked. The employees are also incredibly helpful when I can't find something. I love that they recently quadrupled their beer section, including adding a ginormous new cooler so they now carry chilled versions of specialty craft beers. Previously, only the "big name national brands" were chilled. If you were craving a six-pack of Bodhi, you had to either go elsewhere or allow a few hours for it to sit in the fridge when you got home. Finally, a big shoutout to their oil change staff. I've been getting my oil changed here for a few years now, and they are always super friendly and helpful. Their oil change prices are about half what I've seen at other oil change operations, and they offer everything from the cheapie options to super premium/synthetic/high mileage name brands. They have tires and batteries here, too.

There is a sign on the door saying "No Mask, No Service", which is after all state law, but I guess the cashier thinks he is above the law, and he obviously has zero respect for the customers, or their children, because by the time I paid for my gas and snacks I had heard him say the F word, among other profanities, at least 5 times, and laugh that he wasn't going to wear a mask. The owners are nice people, I like the breakfast burritos, the gas is cheap, and the store is in a good location, but they owners need to do a do a better job of hiring employees, I will either stop in at night to get my gas, or go somewhere else where I don't feel I have to put earplugs in my kids ears. I'd rather pay 5 cents more a gallon for my gas and not feel like I'm in a biker bar.
