Food & service have never disappointed! Favorite burgers around hands down! Highly recommended :)

This place seems to be extremely popular among locals, so if you step by Friday or Saturday night dont even think to get a table fast:) However, after the wait is over, you wont regret. Trappist trio is the best appetizer combo to feel what they got, every other snack comes with its own sauce that makes it taste even better. Hot head burger is my personal fav. Check out the size of the sandwich comparing to my head next to it:) My gf loves their Bloody Mary, most likely they dont use one of those cheap mixes, but do use separate ingredients instead (I hope so!) Date night! We saw a movie at the AMC next door. We've tried to eat at the Lucky Monk in the past several time, but the waits to get in were way too long. This time, we used Opentable to make a reservation ahead of time. We saw a 3:45 movie, so made a reservation for 6:15. And, like always, the place was packed. As I understand it, the wait was about 45 minutes, but we were seated right away. As you might expect, with the crowds, it is noisy in there. The crowd is diverse, from young couples with small children to old folks like us. The server greeted us shortly after we were seated, then took a drink order - I ordered a martini. From then, we waited. The poor waiter seemed to have about 15 tables and was running to keep up. But, it got a little frustrating when we finally flagged him down about 15 minutes later to place our order. I did say something about it, and from that moment on the service was great. Their menu has a broad selection. But, boring me, I ordered a burger.. At least Kerrie got a Waldorf Salad. But, I have to admit, the burger was really good. I ordered it medium, and it was perfect. They are large (1/2 pound) and they serve it on a one in round piece of wood. So, it looks even bigger when delivered. Not sure what they spice the meat with, but it was tasty. The fries are serve are hand cut, and were also very good. No room for desert, but I did take 1/2 of the burger home. We'll be back. read more

A bit pricey but excellent food and enjoyable times for any event. Staff is very attentive.

Food is great. Been here plenty of times now. The parking lit is always packed so if you have a reservation show up extra early just to park. I thought a $2 upcharge for coleslaw instead of fries was ridiculous, i think for another $2 you should get both. Doesn't make sense, honestly plating coleslaw in a side dish can't be more labor then deep frying fries.... Anyways, the drinks aren't very good and mixed drinks are pretty weak. Lots of beers on menu not in stock. If you got a lot of $ to blow go for it. Patty melt & ribs are awesome & that pretzel app is delicious too. But seriously for $75 for 2 people its a little ridiculous for not even getting desert. read more

We stopped here for lunch a few weeks back after a round of golf. The weather was great so we sat outside on the patio. It's a beautiful patio that I could see myself sitting there for hours with a glass of wine. For food, we started with the fried pickles w/ a chipotle ranch. The pickles and sauce were very good. My husband had the Elvis Burger (w/ bananas, peanut butter and bacon). He thought it was okay....the peanut butter got to be a bit much. I got the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was huge!! I ended up removing the bun and cutting up the chicken...and it was still messy. Good, but messy. If you're ever in the area and want to enjoy a great outdoors, I would recommend Lucky Monk. read more

Awesome, thick sliced, and perfectly cooked bacon aioli: if it wasn't listed I wouldn't have known it was even there, the flavor was lost lettuce: looked like old scraps (not the salad) tomato: bright red, firm I don't think what was served to me was a good representation of the restaurant or a signature burger Caesar Salad: best part of the meal, well that and the bacon Restaurant is nice, ample parking, tables are well spaced. The menu has a decent selection, wish they offered more than just chili, I really wanted soup. Our food took a while to arrive. Our server was excellent, very attentive, checked on us often, did not forget things. If I have one critique she could have stopped by our table to update us on the delay of our meal also she didn't ask if we wanted dessert. The prices are decent though I hate that I basically spent $17 for a caesar salad because the burger was a dud I will say the food I saw being delivered to other tables looked amazing. I have been a patron of this place for more than 12 years. Beers always good and service was great before Covid. Supported during covid to help and cook burgers at home when they had a carry out and cook option. Now there are none of the same staff except a couple good bartenders, Morgan always solid! Tonight was the last time! I have never left a yelp review on anything, so let me tell you avoid this place until management gets the message. The service is smug, unqualified, immature, and sub-par, food quality very lacking and management doesn't seem to care. When the beers that were brought were wrong, the waitress argued they were what we ordered, but clearly were wrong when we asked what she brought and wasn't remotely what was ordered... a strawberry sour instead of Son Of Juice? Get outta here! Manager 'Candy' never acknowledged the issue but continued to say she disagrees and placed issue back on us. Said her staff are "top notch" and I was wrong for thinking otherwise. Personally service industry is not for this attitude. When greeted by hosts, you're told it's 30 minute wait but then get a text ten minutes later the table is ready but then argues about having a reservation. When approached by catering manager, Nichole, who is only recognizable face and best person there, blamed the industry that there isn't qualified employees and it's all they can do to keep up. She even said she has no support from ownership and her hands are tied with what she's given, as they won't support on the ground staff. This goes beyond a labor issue and it's more about lack of training and caring. Nichole has always been amazing but the excuses given tonight regarding the lack of talent in the restaurant is inexcusable, along with the negative comments about ownership, quite disturbing. If you want to succeed you have a training program for any new employee regardless the economic conditions. I admit my behavior was elevated in anger when I was constantly told I was wrong by Candy, and for that I am disappointed in myself to allow an incompetent and incapable human get to me, but all I wanted was a good beer and burger on a Friday night... now I know I would be better off going to a place that actually appreciates their patrons. Let's just hope this ill feeling I have is not food poisoning but pure disgust in service quality. Fried pickles! I'm fairly sure that my friend wanted to take them home and make sweet sweet love to them all night long. Too bad he ate all of them... That being said that wasn't the only good thing to be had there. The truffle fries were ok - not as good as everyone was hyping them up to be. The sweet potato fries were so much better. But the burgers were killer - we tried the peppercorn ranch, the hot head, and the farmhouse. All of which were cooked perfectly and seasoned well (I hate an under-seasoned burger). The service was a little hit or miss. The server didn't do the best job of recommending some of the mixed drinks. She didn't care for cucumber so that led to passing on the cucumber pomegranate mojito that was very good. I had the beer sampler that was missing the oatmeal stout due to the brewmaster getting to drunk at a beer expo earlier in the day (ill let that one slide :p). I went with the Confessional IPA that was nice and hoppy but not too over the top. We finished the night outside next to the fire pit which was amazing and it was a beautiful night. Moral of the story sit outside and get yourself some fried pickles and a good beer - to be honest all of them were pretty good. read more

My husband and I had a great experience at The Lucky Monk- definitely lived up to the hype and all of the difficulty getting into the location. I would highly recommend making reservations if you do not want to wait a long time to be seated- particularly on a weekend. We were seated within 3 minutes of walking into the restaurant due to our reservation, and the wait time for everyone else was about 45 minutes. My husband tried one of the lucky monk brews- the seasonal offering- and enjoyed it a lot. I tried two different cocktails- the triple berry lemonade and the paloma- both delicious. We started with the trappist trio- a guilty pleasure of deliciousness that included cheese curds, truffle fries, and fried pickles- heaven in a trio. We both enjoyed delicious burgers for our meal- and had some food to take home. We skipped the fries with our meal due to eating them with our appetizer and had beer cheese soup instead- fantastic- and had some of that to take home too. I would definitely come back to The Lucky Monk to try other items on the menu because many more things look delicious. Great experience overall! read more

Their burgers are a thing of legend, tried and tested by some of the locals. Go mac and cheese or go home. We wanted to go beer tasting and have lunch so we decided to try this place. It's big, spacious, with plenty of parking. They had numerous tasting sizes to fit your mood. The beer was good and the menu had a nice variety of options. I went with the steak mini tacos... They looked sooo good. But they were sooo salty! It made me drink my beer faster along with a couple glasses of water. The calamari was crispy and just as salty. I guess that was the going theme of our lunch. Staff was friendly and attentive. Our new go-to. We moved to the area a few months ago and haven't found any "Chicago-worthy" restaurants out here until now. Their burgers are just pure perfection. We went to this microbrewery after hopping some bars. The interior decor is really chic and casual. My friends really liked their beers, but what I want to talk about is their hot chocolate. It was the most glorious thing I've had in a while. The glass was half-dipped in chocolate sauce and it had huge dollop of whipped cream on top. I'm not a burger person but this place exceeded my expectations. This place is known for their burgers and they really don't disappoint. Their calamari was a little sour but really crispy, and their milk shakes are to die for! I was in awe of how awesome they make their milkshakes. Their burger was a good size, not overwhelmingly big and not small either. Their beef was really good. The juice of the patty together with the other ingredients of the burger made it a delight each bite I took. My sister added bacon on hers and the bacon was cooked to perfection. I usually get tired ot the "meaty" flavor of a burger after a while but I was able to finish my burger with no problems, and to think the patty was pretty thick. Service was pretty good and quick, you barely notice your wait for the food. Overall, I think it's a good place to grab a bite and drinks with friends. It's not one of those average burger places for sure, they make theirs in a unique way that will guarantee satisfaction. I think the price I paid for what I got was pretty decent. Ah... The Lucky Monk... One of my favorite places to go for a great burger and some delicious beer. I don't know how many times I have been there, probably too many to count! The food is always good, fried pickles are to die for! Great selection of beer that is constantly changing which is very nice. The place is usually packed on the weekends so make a reservation in advance to avoid an hour long wait. All in all this is a solid spot with great food and consistently good service.
