She coated on THICK layers of regular polish with NO BASE COAT. Asked if they would be able to do the she "yes no problem you can come here we do for you". Set another appointment on 9/10/17 showed again that dam ghost appeared this time no one was willing to help nor talk yo me. Told me to have seat in a chair, I say there for 1 hour with an appointment with employees walking by glaring at me some where working done were kicking back playing on there phones. Then when I finally said something they told me the young girl would be doing my nails but she was busy. The employees sitting on their phones could have took over the foot job but did kept talking in there language and watching the clock like let's see if she leaves. I told them I was not going anywhere that sumone was going to do my Ndola because I had an appointment, that no one deserves to come into an establishment and be treated like I was. Other guest sat and watched what was going on and expressed their frustration in the situation you could clearly see I was being mistreated and they didn't give a rats ass were very disrespectful but each time a new customer came i. When she brought up to the owner that she still wanted her nails done he literally started yelling at her and giving her hella attitude like it's her fault the employee didn't listen to the style she wanted. A complete and utter shit show, 100% never going back and would not recommend this location to anyone. Holly was my nail tech. New full set looks good from affar. But nails are super thick ans chunky. They are way too big for my hands! They need to be filed down and buffed to look good. Left with alot of glue residue underneath. Coffin shape needs filing to look like actual coffin shape. Was left with uncured tips. The gel polish was tacky and sticky on tip of nails. This is honestly the only nail salon that I've been into that impressed the heck out of me, this is the first time that I've actually gone back to the same salon and not regret it. This is my second time going to them (this was a fill, my very first set lasted a whole month with no lift whatsoever, I have never been to a salon/private tech where my nails did not lift or pop off after 1 week.) I've been to high end salons and private nail techs and not one of them was able to achieve the longevity that my first set from this place had. My first set I paid 75 for which is not bad at all, I've had sets where I paid 170+ on and would pop off by the first week. I had the worst experience during this visit to the salon, which is more shocking than anything else. I came for a mani/pedi and was seated for the pedi first. The tech was rough and silent during the entire session. He used the same cold towel on the footrest and twisted my foot like gumby. In the end, he placed my flip flops on my feet and messed up both big toes. I had them redo my toes but then sat for 7-10 minutes waiting for someone to transfer me to the nail chair. I made the announcement again that I wanted a gel manicure, and the salon erupted with chatter. The girl that spoke the best English yelled from the station across two clients to me, saying why didn't I say it. I advised this was the third time I said it. The first was upon arrival; the second was to the Salena male technician, and the third was moments ago. Upon being seated, a very young male technician asked what I wanted again. I said "A gel manicure" and began to select polish to match my toes. He started to cut my natural nails and I told him they were too short. But it was too late by then. He cut one to the quick, then pulled out the electric buffer. When I asked what he was doing, he said nothing. He burned my cuticle with it on three nails and I said I do not get the electric buffer. He the. Pulled out fake nails! I gasped and grabbed my hands back and repeated that I wanted a MANICURE! The salon erupted again. After being scolded as if I buffed my nails and cut them to the quick, the girl that spoke English began to yell from her station again, asking if I wanted them to finish. I explained that I no longer had nails, so I would just like to be buffed so I didn't scratch everything I touched and have some cuticle oil. I was UNLUCKY this time at Lucky Nails & Spa. I had been only coming here for my last three nail sets, but due to my last experience here, it will definitely be my last. It left a bad taste in my mouth. First off: They don't dust off the powder and just let it sit there while it's irritating your skin. As a result I ended up with atopic dermatitis on my fingers, both hands, and both elbows. I actually had to ask her to dust off the area because it was irritating my skin, I even had to do it myself on my own hands because she didn't realize it was affecting my hands as well. Also, when they had me walk towards the back sink to wash my hands, I slipped and luckily I didn't fall, I almost did the splits my gosh. It was hard to keep myself from slipping and falling and it felt like there was an invisible, dry, perhaps powdered product all over the back floor area near the sink and bathroom. I was examining the floor trying to see what it was, and though there was nothing visible, I could feel something which caused my feet to slide all over as I tried to stand straight. This has never happened to me in any beauty/nail salon before, so I was very alarmed. You would think that they would get alarmed seeing that and get up and have someone clean the floor after seeing me almost slip right? No! The three or more employees were just sitting with no customers to work with, just seemingly nonchalantly staring into lala land. My god! angry just typing this honestly! Lastly, when the girl who worked on my nails was finished, she didn't even give me a second to get up to walk to the front to pay, as I always did before whenever I go there. I'm fact, you know what she said? She was already telling me to pay her. After all that happened to me during my visit a a nail salon.... C'mon! Smh ‍ Just felt to me as if all they care about is money. They didn't care when I almost slipped, and I was so confused as to what that was on the floor still as well as to why no one bothered to get their a**es up to clean it up. Anyways, if anything, I should have gotten a discount for the scare and for the trouble. They lack even the most basic customer service skills. Secondly: The reason I visited that day was because I had to leave out of the country to a trip to get May nails done. Unfortunately, I left the country with the dermatitis as it was just beginning and it actually worsened day by day at my stay in the other country. I had blisters on my hands but luckily I was able to treat it with an ointment a friend recommended to me. Just wish they were more on top of their job, I don't understand how they do not know by now that they should dust off frequently, it takes little effort to do so and makes such a huge difference in customer comfort level. I would only return here, if they were to keep these suggestions and insights in mind. Will they? I don't know, but I would hope that this is a wake up call. read more
