I had two nail techs and the second messed up in my nails and rushed towards the end . I asked for stencils and she decided she wanted to free hand. I heard about this place years ago from a co-worker but never made it around to getting my nails done. I decided to do a drop in on Saturday because my hands and feet needed desperate TLC especially with the sandal weather upon us. I worked with Heather, she is young and fun. She took such good care of me. I picked a neon color for something different and provided suggestions on how to make them pop. I have been getting compliments since Saturday on my nails. I will be returning. Overall, the salon people are very personable and provide a family feel. The customers came in and knew Steve and Amy right away. It felt like the salon version of cheers! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews prior to coming here. My MIL has been coming here to Amy for years, and I've been here several times. There have been maybe 3 times I've come for a mani/pedi and had both services done at the same time, which I admit is a little uncomfortable while sitting in the pedicure chair. However, if you book an appointment (and I recommend Amy or Kim) you can have the same person do the mani/pedi which is much more comfortable. Kim does a great job really pushing cuticles back and taking care of hangnails. She's fast but doesn't rush. Spent about 4-5 minutes massaging each leg (although they were totally slow when I went in on a Tuesday afternoon). Prices aren't the cheapest, but they're reasonable. A basic pedi is $20, with gel it's $30, and you can get a mani/pedi with gel for $50. Steve is also great too-- he put on a full set and while he was a little slower, my nails were straight and looked fabulous. I'd rather it be slow and perfect than fast and sloppy. read more

Awful awful awful! I read the recent negative reviews but I still wanted to give the place a try because I was in the area but I should have listened to the naysayers! This place has terrible quality and I really question if the older men they have working here have nail technician licenses?! I've never felt so uncomfortable while getting a manicure and pedicure and the paint job they did was terrible and NOT worth half of what I paid. I guess they thought that having 2 people working on one person would cut down the time and get me out faster but it actually ruined my entire experience. One of the old guys did my manicure while the other old guy did my pedicure and it was just too much going on. The guy who did my manicure stood on my left side and stayed there and made me reach my right hand over the entire hour! How the heck is that supposed to be a pampering relaxing experience?! The whole time I was getting my mani/pedi, I was being pulled from hand to foot like a circus; put your feet up, put your hand here, put your feet into this, relax your hand. All at once. Is this the nicest and trendiest salon ever? No. But is the location good and the is the price right? Yes. I know most of the reviews are negative but my two experiences here were both pretty positive. However I went during non-busy hours (830) and I almost always get gel manicures so I don't have a problem with chipping. My non gel pedicure did slightly chip on about 4 days but 2 weeks later that was still the only chip. I had Cindy and she didn't speak a ton of English but she was very sweet. I think they have specials on acrylics during mon-thurs and to get a manicure and pedicure (hot towels/lotion/scrubbing) its only 30 dollars. Adding gel costs $10 for each. $5 more for French each. So because I got a gel manicure and French on my toes without gel it cost me $45 (30+10+5). Really not bad in my opinion. Just go before the rush and you'll be out of there quickly. PS cupcakes bakery is right next door so do yourself a favor and treat yo'self :] read more

Went to the (AMAZING) tanning salon a few doors down, careful not to smudge my toes when I got undressed to tan. Came out and my left bi toe looked funky: bubbled and not shiny like the other 9 toes. I went back over and the dude tried to fix it. Even though I picked out the same color and told him I was positive it was the correct color, he tried three different colors and smudged one of them badly. He finally fixed it and I left. When I got home I could see that he'd painted the skin above several of my toes. Some of the other toes had the paint peeling already. It's just polish. Isn't this the basis of a nail salon? Did a horrible pedicure, tried to shave down callouses with a wooden nail file you get from the dollar store so my feet looked horrible and polish chipped in two days. Came back to get fixed on 2nd day, which would've took a matter of 5 mins or less, and because they are not taking more money from me they had me waiting forever while the person who did my pedicure stared me down. Really rude and horrible customer service. Amy, the owner shrugged me off. I left without getting it fixed and they couldn't care less. Never coming back. Sooo the staff was really nice. I really liked the lady who did my nails. She was super nice. However she cut me and I was bleeding a lot. And then I couldn't deal with the pain so she had me soak off my nails. So I had to put it in acetone. Then my cuticles and around my nails bled a little bit and my nails are super sharp. I feel like I can scratch someone's eyes out. I also had all these things on my fingers that made it look like my fingers were peeling when I was through. Additionally I wanted my nails to look like a certain picture and they look nothing like how I wanted them. I had to go to work so I just wanted them to finish and get out of there. I'm going to have to re do them being that they are so sharp and I'm so unhappy the way they turned out. The employees seemed to have changed over the last couple years. I love it here and won't go anywhere else. My nails last forever! I can easily go three weeks between fills. The gel colors are amazing!!! So many colors to choose from. The pedicures are nice too! I have been to so many nail salons and these nails last the longest, they also have great prices. i am giving one star... i got gel nails for my wedding, and they lifted literally 2 days later. i went with my mother-in-law and daughter, there were plenty of people working, and at first everyone was busy. they started my pedicure and mother-in-laws pedicure first, and we CLEARLY stated that my 4 year old daughter also wanted her nails painted. well, after a few of them finished up with customers...you would think painting a 4 year olds nails wouldnt be an issue. WRONG. they took everyone else that walked in the door AFTER we came in. they made her wait over an hour, which i think is BS. take 5 minutes for a paying customer that got there FIRST regardless of her age. its just rude, also one of my bridesmaids went in, and her nails lifted the next day! and on a side note- their version of a pedicure is pathetic. you have to pay extra for the hot wax and the sugar scrub- and they dont really do the massage either. take my advice, go to Aqua- they charge less and do it all for you. i wont ever be going back here. read more

NOT a good experience. I went in on the recommendation of a girl I work with, and the guy who was doing my nails didn't listen to anything I wanted. I showed him the color I wanted, and told him I wanted all over Rockstar, not tips, because I can't have them at my work. And he started doing them with tips, anyway. I had to keep telling him he was doing the wrong thing, and it ended up being the wrong color. I wanted silver and he gave me an ugly purplish-gray. They're uneven, and see-through at parts. And when I pointed out the color problem, I asked for a discount, and he agreed. When we got to the counter, he pretended not to understand me, and to have no memory of our 10-second ago conversation.
