Service - great View/ambiance -great Food - below average This review is cumulative and based on several recent visits. After many dining experiences I can say the food at Lucky Shuck is just not very good with some items being okay and others terrible. I used to love Lucky Shuck but the food quality has declined over the years and even fish entrees have disappointed with fish often being dry or overcooked and that's a problem anywhere but it's unacceptable in a seafood restaurant. An appetizer of Shrimp Fried Rice featured small shrimp that were not fresh and I understand for $17 I'm not going to get great shrimp but the quality here is abysmal. On past visits the Swordfish and Tile fish were dull and dry and weren't worth finishing. The Salmon Poke Bowl is also a let down with chewy salmon and guac that seemed pre prepared. Following the fish theme a Cajun Chicken entree featured overcooked chicken and the tasteless sauce only added to the failure. What is good are the Tuna Tacos as well as the biscuits. Desserts have changed over the years and like the food has declined and excellent desserts have been taken off the menu. Lucky Shuck does have its good points (hence the three stars) and that includes stellar service, free parking, good drinks and of course the great view. read more

My favorite spot in Jupiter for fresh seafood. It's a MUST STOP for me when driving down from Orlando or Jacksonville to home (South Florida). It's my #TREATYOSELF for the drive. Everything just tastes so fresh. Highly recommend getting some raw oysters. They give you all sorts of accompaniments but my favorite is the passion fruit vinagrette. The mussels appetizer in the picture tasted like mussels had a baby with pasta carbonara sauce- divine! Yes, double yes to the tuna tacos. And my all time favorite go to order here- fresh fish sandwich. It's the perfect, quintessential Florida meal for me. Still the best location in town. Service was outstanding. Food was someone's idea of what fancy food should be for tourists. It's like the corporate food designer (not a real chef) hates people and showed their contempt with food. I ate here many times when first opened and thought the food was great. Like an homage to one of Emerils restaurants with decent corn fritters, very nice crusted fish, just decent food. I think they realized they don't need to spend the money or effort to produce good food because it's busy anyway. Or they don't respect their customers. Our party of three finicky diners had a great lunch here! Sat at the bar due to busy dining room on a Friday afternoon. Started with a dozen oysters: delicious, albeit pricy. We did come on a Friday night around 6:30pm, so I understand they were getting very busy, but our server was impossible to hunt down when we needed her. After our order was taken, we didn't see her until after we had both finished our meals. We both wanted a second round of drinks, but didn't get a chance to order them. I also needed more of the dressing for my meal, but never got it. These small details make a difference in the overall enjoyment of the experience. I will say, the deviled eggs were outstanding. The fresh catch sandwich was good, but not very big. I did enjoy the chopped salad, but would've enjoyed it more if I got the extra dressing. We went to Lucky Shuck for an early Mother's Day lunch with my fiancés grandmother and we had a pleasant time! Since it was a Saturday, I got reservations, but they weren't needed, as I think we were nearing the end of our "season" in Jupiter. The server was kind and attentive, and the food was tasty. Can't say I was too fond of the meat they used for the Cuban, it was a little too smoky to taste authentic, but I enjoyed the deviled eggs and the cornbread appetizer. We were seated near the inlet and had a nice view of the lighthouse, so I really have no complaints! I would just get a different entree next time. read more

Wonderful food, beautifully presented. We started with the raw bar - Prince Edward Island oysters for me and clams for the husband. So fresh! I had the Caesar salad with avacado, bacon and shrimp. He had the Po' Boy open faced sandwich with shrimp which looked amazing. I had a Bay Breeze cocktail, exquisite! I wish I lived closer to this great place. I really don't like posting this but feel people should be aware. I recommended this place to a couple and they wound up getting food poisoning and not from the oysters but instead a burger and a steak. When they called the restaurant, the girl who answered the phone just said ok. When responding to a how was your reservation experience email, they still did not get a response from management regarding the food poisoning. Sadly, this makes us a little nervous going back. read more

We were visiting friends in Jupiter and decided to have lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant sits along the water so the ambiance is exquisite. They have plenty of outdoor, indoor and bar seating. We chose to sit outside and were offered a nice table very close to the water. The menu had plenty of appetizers, salads, wings, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. They also had a special football menu that contained some good sounding appetizers. We opted for the wings, an impossible burger, a Cobb salad, and a fish sandwich. The wings had a nice smoky flavor to them and were accompanied by Alabama White BBQ sauce. They tasted great. The Cobb salad had bacon, eggs, greens, tomatoes, tortilla chips, and avocado. It was a good size portion, and very fresh. The blackened fish sandwich was very tasty and came with a side of fries. The impossible burger came on a grilled bun that had a nice grill design on it. Everyone enjoyed their lunch, and especially the relaxing outdoor environment. We would definitely return. read more

the bartenders/servers are so rude it makes you not want to eat there, the food is not even anything to rave about in the first place. the blonde bartenders tell people they can't even answer food questions because their so busy, it was a Sunday at 3pm and no one was at the bar. I got told to "go somewhere else" after calling their service horrible. they didn't even look our direction from the beginning. it was very disappointing since we go there all the time and we brought people from out of town. the two girl bartenders working tonight, 2/22 are absolutely horrible and should never work at ANY bar ever again. read more

Had a six pm reservation. We were exactly on time. That reservation was meaningless, as it took over half an hour past our reservation time to be seated. Oh wait, we left at the 45 minute mark. They have no system to manage their reservations properly. They were very nice about it, but offered no compensation for the screw up. Went on a Friday night while visiting the area. Made a reservation and was greeted and seated right away. Our sever Brittany came over to serve us and she was a pleasure! We ordered cocktails I can't remember the name but they were delicious drinks. Brittany was sure to be attentive to us while serving other tables because the place was packed. We ordered appetizers. I had the gumbo which was so good, my husband had the smoked wings he enjoyed them. I didn't care for them but he ate them all. We both ordered the salmon bowl which came with sticky white rice and pickled onions and guacamole it was delicious. We both loved and ate our bowls. Desserts were great too, I had the banana fosters cheesecake and hubby had the peach dessert. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great as well beautiful water view with indoor or outdoor seating. This restaurant made me so sad that I do not live in Florida. The food and service were great. We started with pretzel appetizer and roasted oysters. Both were amazing! My kids split a giant burger which looked great. The real stars here were the grouper - holy cow! So amazing, but maybe Floridians are used to that! I live in Arizona so it was a real treat! The other thing that you 100 percent must get is the Mac and cheese with crawfish. I don't even love Mac and cheese, but this was so delicious and the crawfish in it was plentiful. Originally, we were supposed to go to Beacon for a dinner reservation a couple of months ago but didn't realize that they had just switched to the wasmmer hours where they weren't open on Mondays -- the day we had the reservation. Fortunately, the person who picked up the phone at the Beacon explained that Lucky Shuck next door is part of the same restaurant group and ensured we would have the appropriate table-size reservation as initially intended. So we took a chance, and the experience was just Whetherwhen we ultimately went to Beacon. The interior has the feel of a modern, New England brewhouse vibe, with a gorgeous view of the Jupiter Lighthouse across the way. No matter whether you sit in the inside dining area or bar, you will always have a lovely view of Jupiter Inlet, which is really cool. There's a large refrigerated platform above the bar area where they keep the kegs. They offer both high-top and regular table seating. We ended up having a table outside under a canopied roof with electronic side coverings that can go up and down in case it rains, which was good considering there was a light shower at first a few minutes after we were seated. Since we went there for my wife's birthday, we were given some complimentary champagne, which was a lovely gesture from the restaurant. The cocktails were incredibly satisfying. I enjoyed the Good Time Shirley, La Stéphanie, and Storm's Brewin' rounds. Each cocktail was different in its own right. The Good Time Shirley was a delicious tequila cocktail, made with hibiscus, grapefruit, and mezcal. The La Stéphanie comprised Cachaça, strawberry, rhubarb, basil, lime, lavender bitters, and sparkling wine that was truly magical. While I am not the biggest drinker of rum-based cocktails, the Storm's Brewin' was very good with its mixture of passion fruit, lime, honey, and pomegranate. For appetizers, we enjoyed the grilled clams casino and deviled eggs, which we devoured. The deviled eggs had some lovely crumble consisting of maple-bourbon bacon and shallots. The lobster and shrimp dynamite was additionally sensational, fried to perfection, and served with crispy grits, scallions, and red quinoa. I savored the country-fried chicken and biscuits for my dinner entree. The cheddar chive biscuits were especially tantalizing to the senses. For dessert, the salted caramel swiss roll was delicious with the bacon and complimented with the espresso martini to conclude the evening's festivities. Our experience was extraordinary; a great place to celebrate a birthday, and I would return in a heartbeat. They have fresh catches of the days, for those that like fish and they have delicious ribs and handheld options for those that prefer beef and chicken.
