They may not be open as early anymore, but the summer pass is still worth it every year.

A very clean bowling alley. Although some people complain that the lanes have issues and the scoreboard looks a bit odd, it's actually great for casual fun. Every time you get a gutter ball, the system seems to reward you with 5 or 6 points, which makes it all the more amusing. Everyone just plays for fun, laughs, and has a good time. Plus, their fries are absolutely delicious. I'd actually recommend this place. Though to be honest, the bowling alley inside a certain university still ranks number one in my heart! lol

Made a reservation and overall was a smooth and fun experience! We ordered a few desserts, including a pizookie and some funnel cake fries. The only issue we had was that our lane seemed to have some kind of a "handicap." Any time we'd score 0 or below 3, it would give us a higher number on the scoreboard. We asked for help on this and said it was just going to reset on its own but it continued to show the incorrect scores.

Oreo cheesecake sundae was a hit with the free downloader app. We received it for free best $10.

Hosted a last minute party for the kids and everyone had a great time. We were expecting average to below average food at a bowling alley but everything was really great. Service for the food was slow, but there was only 1 person I saw working in the kitchen initially on a busy Saturday afternoon with a lot of large parties arriving. She was doing her best. We really liked the chicken tenders (surprisingly good and not the typical frozen kind), nachos (added grilled chicken), and funnel cake fries. Burgers were solid too. Because the food arrived sporadically and a bit late, we had a lot of leftovers we wanted to pack things for our guests. The staff threw away the huge sampler platter while we were cutting cake unfortunately. We let the manager know and he was very responsive and had them make a fresh platter to go for us. Everyone there was very hardworking. The music and playlist were great as well for the adults, and arcade was fun for the kids. Really well run and would return and host more parties there. The bowling pin souvenir was a nice touch!

I've been a regular here for a good minute and this review has long overdue. The staff here is too notch. Shout out to Matino, Ariana, and JB from the bar.

There are two entrances - one on the second floor of the mall and an outside entrance on the same side of the 24 hour fitness. For both entrances, they will wand you for any weapons to ensure safety. From there, you can explore to find claw machines, arcade machines, a bowling alley and pool tables and darts. The collection of claw machines are from pop culture like Hello Kitty, One Piece, and cute animals. There are specific claw machines where you'll need to glad a staff member so they can unlock the machine and give you your prize. My partner wasn't too pleased by the collection of plushies since her round 1 in Roseville has a lot more to offer. Nonetheless, it was fun as we all got stuffed animals.

Round1 in San Jose is a large entertainment complex that combines bowling, arcade games, karaoke…read morerooms, and claw machines under one roof, and the format works well enough as a group activity destination even if individual elements have their limitations. I walked into a space that gets loud and warm during busy periods, and cleanliness varied by section, but the overall setup gave my group plenty of options for a few hours of entertainment. The arcade is the strongest part of the offering. I found the selection of rhythm games solid and reasonably well maintained, and the claw and gacha style machines are what Round1 does better than most chain arcades. That said, individual claw machine plays run around four dollars, which adds up quickly if I am playing multiple rounds, and the tension on the machines is inconsistent enough that results feel more variable than skill based. The prize section near those machines tends to run warm compared to the rest of the floor. Racing games, fighting games, and photo booths fill out the rest of the arcade floor, and the overall variety was broad enough to keep my group occupied. Bowling is available but came with some caveats. The ball selection skewed toward smaller finger holes and very heavy options, with limited middle ground, so bringing my own ball would be worth considering if I bowled regularly. Party packages are available and include shoes and games, which streamlines the booking process for larger groups. For a casual group outing, birthday celebration, or evening with a mix of activities on offer, Round1 covers the bases adequately. Going in with realistic expectations about the cost per activity makes the experience more enjoyable. It is not a refined destination, but for what it is, it delivered a fun few hours.

Decided to give Homestead a try despite the lengthy drive compared to other local houses. Although the house is on the smaller side, they take care of things and feature a whole lounge style bar. 32 lanes, free fall pins, Brunswick ball return, still working well! We rarely ever had any issues with balls getting stuck or needing to call in for any attention on the lanes. Will (front desk) took care of us and ensured a positive first visit. We enjoyed it so much that we are now Friday evening regulars. On top of Will's exceptional service, Jose (bartender) also provided exceptional service manning the bar. The sweetest lady operates their open kitchen and she is super efficient. Their offerings are pretty typical as far as bowling food is concerned but that doesn't discredit that the food still hits. We'll continue to be regulars for the foreseeable future!

The score counting was awful! The technology they used to count how many pins you knocked down was completely unreliable. It counted extra pins at least 5 times a game. They also have a monthly deal where paying $20 gets you one hour of free golf and a free appetizer! Speaking of the food, I got the Mediterranean plate last time and it was pretty subpar. I liked the pita bread and the hummus, but I hated the other sauces. The veggies weren't cut thin enough, so they were actually pretty annoying to chew at some points. The gameplay itself is fine! It's fun to just hang out and learn a lot from the people around you by checking out their form. The ball machines do malfunction sometimes, which happens. Also, if you're left-handed, you can just ask a staff member to bring you a left-handed club set, which is nice. As for the venue, parking is easy and there is EV charging right out front (though the charging is kind of expensive). There's a cool store in the front, and the vibe is great--there were lots of people hanging out for the FIFA games. Most importantly, the managers here are really nice. We had a couple of mishaps, but they refunded me some money and are very generous with giving out coupons to make things right, so it was all good. Overall, it's not a bad place to kick it with some friends and have some fun.

They have a cheaper option too- $199 for the same length of time, but walk ins only, no reservations. The time allotted is 2 hours for up to 6 people. Service is alright. We get a text when the bay is ready so we go straight there. They recently changed to QR code ordering so we don't really interact with people there (only when food and drinks are being delivered). Overall we have a good time here and still have about a month left of the summer pass. Highly recommend!
