I'm SO HAPPY a new bowling alley finally opened in this area! I came here with my sister and son on a Sunday afternoon and was able to get a lane quickly without a reservation. They charge by game or they have some promotions available. At first, the front desk girl assigned us to a lane but when we got there, it was full of 6-8 teenagers using only one lane in the entire booth area. I kindly asked one of the servers, Max, if we could possibly move one lane over since I'm only with my sister and toddler son. She spoke to the floor manager and was easily able to resolve this for us by moving us over to another booth! AMAZING SERVICE! She came by and took our order for drinks and appetizers, and also came by appropriately to check in on us if we needed anything else. The bowling alley is super CLEAN and caters to children who want to bowl with automatic bumpers! The arcade has so many games to play too! Was invited to a birthday party here. It was a nice experience. I might consider hosting birthday parties here as well. It is located in a huge plaza right off the freeway. It has plenty of parking and the facility is huge with a bar, arcade and of course a bunch of lanes. Our party rented 5 lanes for 2 hours with food and drinks. My only complaint was I had to notify staff to fix the fan where the balls come out as it was not working. They also don't have odd weight balls or heavy balls. They did find me a 14 lb ball near the end but I usually use a 13 lb ball. Before that the heaviest ball was 12lbs. I'm blaming the ball for my scores that day. read more

When we arrived, the parking lot was basically empty and once we walked in there were only one or two other parties inside. The quiet atmosphere was actually really nice. We were seated right away and had a lovely server named Mike, who was very attentive and friendly. Since it wasn't too busy, he was able to check in often and make sure we had everything we needed. We ordered: *Chicken Tinga Tacos (3)-Grilled with cheddar jack, pico, lettuce, and chipotle aioli in a flour tortilla. *Steakhouse Sandwich Grilled hanger with provolone, bacon aioli, onion jam, and arugula on a toasted baguette. Served with fries. *Caribbean Mahi Mahi Bowl-Cajun spiced with basil pesto rice and sautéed vegetables. Topped with mango salsa. For drinks, we tried: *Jam Session Mule- Owen's Ginger Beer and Strawberry Puree *Watermelon Wave-Watermelon Puree, Pineapple Juice, and Fresh Lime. *Blue Moon Draft Overall, we were really impressed. Lucky Strike has much better food options and quality compared to Dave and Buster's. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was great, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and well-prepared. On the positive: The staff is great. Everyone was nice It's a good place to get together for an activity while socializing. If you want a bowling experience, I recommend anywhere else. The settee area is terribley crowded. There's about a foot between the couch and the table, one cannot pass while people are sitting. The approach was sticky, and the lanes completely dry. Doors open at 11, we walked in at 11:05, we were the first to touch our lane. No way the lane could be that dry first thing in the morning. Additionally, the pins are on wires, pins don't break the same, which has been proven by studies. If you want to bowl, go elsewhere. If you want nice atmosphere, and don't care about the lanes, this is not a bad place. read more

Came here for a client appreciation event recently. As soon as I walked in, I told my mom that I could see myself having a birthday party here. This place is a less chaotic, more spacious Dave and Busters with bowling. I'm impressed with how clean this location is. I'm told that this location is still relatively new, only 2 years old. The food here is unexpectedly good. Typically bowling alley food is subpar but the in-house catered food was delicious. My favorite was the cheese pizza. The crust in particular is crave worthy because it actually is like a breadstick turned pizza. The crust itself has a blend of herbs that coat and it makes it so darn good. I even detected rosemary which isn't a typical herb I taste on pizza. Food wasn't dry at all. The server (I wish I remembered her name!) worked so hard to keep our area clean. We were a big and she was so diligent to bus our section. I'd make the drive out to Moorpark again just to have a party here. read more

Employee at front counter walks us to our table while complaining about his Starbucks order and how Starbucks did not provide good service... we sit at our table/lane and try to play for 30 minutes with a broken computer (didn't know at the time). Employee comes back and tells us "oh that lanes broken let me move u to another." Meanwhile another family was also seated with us briefly (the same lane/table). Moves to another lane, I order via the QR code online and my wife orders additional from the waitress. The bill comes later and I realized they charged me twice for my online order. I speak to the manager who assured me the double charge will go away. A month later and a dispute with AMEX finally removed the charge.. (after calling lucky strike and talking to a manager who again told me it would be cancelled) Will never return to this abysmal service place. Cancelled a bday party and a soccer after party after experiencing this. While I was finishing my Mule, he stood directly in front of me behind the bar and stared me down as if he was trying to intimidate me into leaving, even though the bowling alley was still open. However, I do want to mention something that was very disappointing. It was spring break, Friday night around 9 PM, and there were many kids present, including mine and our friends' children. Unfortunately, the videos playing on the screens in front of the bowling lanes were extremely inappropriate for a family environment. Some of the content was honestly shocking to see in a place that clearly attracts families and kids. If this is meant to be a family-friendly venue, this is something that really needs to be reconsidered. It made an otherwise great experience uncomfortable. This was my first time going to Lucky strike in Moorpark. It was a group of us consisting of 5 adults and three kiddos but it was very family friendly. The food was good and they do have a lot of options from pizza, burgers, French fries, cauliflower bites (vegetarian friendly options). They do sell alcohol on site as well and the food gets delivered to where you are at. They have options for bowling, arcade games, screens playing videos and they had a football game playing. Price is $5.99 for renting shoes and $10 per game/per person. The reason I am giving it a rating of 3 is because of the service. Unfortunately, our food came about 45 minutes after we ordered it and it involved us talking to someone and them saying they never got our order due to the ticket not printing on their end. They forgot our drinks several times and we were unable to speak to someone when we needed something or when we tried to follow up on our orders after the long wait. This last part is partially my fault because I dropped a beverage and I started cleaning it with the paper napkins (because it was my fault) I found nearby but when a staff came to clean it they swept the spill and left us with a wet mess. They said someone else was going to come to mop it but nobody ever came. I then again continued to clean it up with more paper napkins and we were never able to get a staff come by to help us clean it up even after they kept saying someone was going to stop by with a mop. Came in with my family on a Saturday afternoon. The place was busy, but no line to book a game. Bowling prices are fair, but quickly adds up with the shoe rental fee too. Our lane had several problems and ultimately we had to be moved to another lane. I appreciated that the front desk staff offered a free second game for our troubles. We didn't try any of the arcade games, but there is a ton of options. The location is easy to get too and there's ample parking. A nice place to go as a family or on a date night. read more

Received an announcement for the grand opening for Lucky Strike, thus decided to check it out for my first time! This bowling/arcade placed opened up in Moorpark in 2023 within the former Dick's Sporting Store near Target. For the grand opening they had free bowling and arcade cards to check out the games! We played one round of bowling! And then we played skee ball, basketball and a couple other games! For every game, you have an opportunity to win points for prizes! The event also had discounts on some food and soda. We did not try food as the menu consisted of mostly carbs! The menu also had lots of drinks as the place has a full bar-alcohol drinks were not discounted today! We did find out that an hour of bowling cost slightly over 56 dollars plus there is a charge for shoes! This is a little steep for bowling. You pay for the atmosphere! Drinks seem to be price at the normal price for drinks in the area. I would try this place again if there was a deal for bowling, but 56 dollars is a little steep for me! This is a brand new bowling alley to Moorpark and it is worth the drive from Camarillo. Our experience was based on its grand opening last Saturday. Ambiance: Unlike the old Lucky Strikes in LA, this location is easy to get to. Plenty of convenient parking in its lot and when you enter, you immediately feel the energy. Service: The employees here are all great. Despite having large crowds to serve, anytime you needed help or had a question, the employees had a smile and were happy to assist. I also had great service with their bartender since she was able to serve me and my family even though I changed seats to a booth. Food: The food and drinks here are slightly above bar and grill quality. When compared to the food and drink at Dave and Busters, Lucky Strike wins. Will order pizza at our next visit because it looked delicious, Ventura County and Moorpark should be ecstatic for this place. It's a clean, classy and fun place for the entire family. read more

This is one of my favorite bowling alleys in the area! The space is large, open, & never feels overly crowded, which makes it such a fun & comfortable place to spend time. The arcade area is also super spacious w/ tons of games for all ages to enjoy. Our 1st visit was made extra special thanks to Vanessa, our bartender/server. She was so sweet & friendly, it honestly felt like I made a new friend that day. She checked in on us often & made sure everything was perfect. On our most recent visit, Mike helped us & was friendly as well. You could tell he was a little tired, probably from a long shift, but we still had a great experience! I love the fun clips of shows & cartoons on the lane screens, & the music is always so good. The whole experience from booking our event to having the event was a 10/10 experience! I called them and got connected to Aliza who helped me plan my birthday. She was very informative and kind. We were able to make a custom package that truly exceeded all of my expectations. Day of event we arrived 30 minute early and everything was set up, they decorated and had us in a private area. We had an assigned waitress, Yvette, and she was wonderful! They handled everything from taking out guests drink orders to bringing out the cake. Would highly recommend booking an event. While I understand it was a busy night (NYE @ 1730) we were one of the first groups to sit in our area. Our server was very sweet but did not have time to attend and teamwork was lacking when asking help from other servers. We had two little toddlers, and requested food to come out altogether earlier than later because the kids wouldn't last very long and they were hungry when we arrived at 5:15. This is something that despite "pacing the food", should not have taken as long as it did. Others around us had food much faster. Our event package was supposed to include unlimited beverages and a special toast for NYE and we were offered none of those. The manager did give us pizza and dessert, but just giving feedback if you're going there with little ones (sadly, it is not the place to get expedited or attentive service).
