I've hit up Lucky Strike North Scottsdale twice: once on a Friday for some bowling and once on a Wednesday to play some arcade games. Located in a shopping center along with Harkins, several restaurants, and other businesses, parking won't be a problem in their free lot. When I think of a bowling alley, I think of the run-down establishments full of cigarette smoke from back in the day. Lucky Strike is not that. It's a fancy bowling alley. And for that, you'll pay a premium. Both their bowling rates and their drink prices are quite expensive. With that being said, me and my mom had a fun time bowling. On a Friday evening, it wasn't too busy. Mostly high school kids. Upon my return, I stopped by to check out the arcade portion of Lucky Strike North Scottsdale. On Wednesdays, arcade games are half off. Which ends up being a pretty good deal. It's not a large arcade, you have your choice of 25 or so games. My favorites were the Jurassic Park arcade game and the "full size" basketball game. The arcade features a mix of video game style games and carnival style games. You can redeem your points for various prizes. I wasn't too impressed with the prizes, and you have to spend to get a good one. Two of the arcade games were malfunctioning too. One gives out playing cards but the gift portion of the game wasn't working. Another, the full size basketball game, was operational but wasn't tracking points. A couple of hiccups to fix, for sure. If you're looking to have some food while you're there, Lucky Strike has a full menu. It looks pretty good, but I haven't tried any of the food. Given the prices for what you get, it's not somewhere I would stop by often, but I do like the vibes.

We went to Lucky Strike, which is the old Bowlero, for my daughter's youth group. The inside has more red neon signs and red accents. They added a DJ booth with a cassette tape back drop that wasn't there before. They took away the vintage car that was in the middle when it was Bowlero. It looked like they added more tables and seating by the airstream "food truck" inside. The lanes, arcade, and bar looked the same. They set up pizzas, chicken tenders, and fries for the group. Everything was hot and the kids were happy! The fries were thin and crispy. Really good for bowling alley fries. The staff was friendly and attentive. Bowlero was our go-to bowling alley so now it will be Lucky Strike. I guess the one downtown closed, so maybe that's why they took ownership of Bowlero? So far so good!

Renamed after being Bowlero for a few years, but really still looks the exact same but in reds instead of blues. Reserved online for 4 adults and 3 kids... we had lanes side by side so we could all be together and share snacks but so have space to keep kids and adults separated. Setting up the lanes is easy and the screens walk you through. It's easy to turn bumpers on and offabs make changes even if you've already started. The waitress stopped by often and kept drinks filled. Even if she didn't it was easy to order by screen. The food was surprisingly good for a bowling alley. The crispy chicken sandwich was flavorful and moist. The app sampler was delish and perfectly shareable. It's a great place to hang with friends

We had a blast! The Saturday morning unlimited special was perfect for the family! A fun atmosphere with a nice size arcade.

The settings within it are so varied and fun to hang out in and explore, and many of our guests came to tell us how gorgeous it was. Moving on from looks, Boojum Tree also has fantastic package deals, which made planning for the wedding so much less stressful from out of state. To have a set of great vendors already included (bar, catering, DJ, and day-of-coordinator), as well as decorations, silverware, linens, chairs, ceremony equipment, etc etc was the best thing and really helped us be present and enjoy our wedding. Our day-of-coordinator, Jennifer, was also incredible! She took great care of us, staying organized, moving around flowers and decorations, ensuring our wedding favors were at each table, coordinating with our other vendors, helping with an emergency dress bustling, keeping us on time, and hundreds of other things that we did not see behind the scenes. She clearly works hard and is amazing at what she does. This was the perfect venue for the best day of our lives and booking with Boojum was the single best decision we made. We cannot sing their praises enough and could not have had the wedding we did without them. We are so thankful to the team that made it happen!

We opted for the all in package where Boojum coordinated with their preferred venders to handle about 90% of the arrangements and for a VERY reasonable price. Everyone brought their A game!! Food was delicious, music was fantastic (even with a last minute DJ swap due to an emergency), and the grounds were stunning! They did everything right. Multiple beautiful backdrops available for the big day. We chose the grand fountain but soooo many other great options. Even the little things. Everyone warned us how hard it is to eat on your wedding day but as soon as we left the ceremony area to the backstage, there was a waiter for my wife and I along with the bridal party with appetizers and drink orders. Jennifer the day of works as your wedding coordinator and she does a fantastic job! Everything was so well run and on time as well. Everyone told me this was the best venue and the best experience they ever had at a wedding and I know it wasn't just them being nice! If you're the type of person who wants to be able to say you got married at Wrigley, fine. But if your focus is the best possible experience for your guests and yourselves, Boojum is by far the way to go!! These guys throw an EPIC wedding and party!!!

They offer multiple ways to visit, including the self-guided audio tour, Behind-The-Scenes tour, Apprentice Shelters Hike, Golden Hour Sunset Hike, Sonoran Desert Plant Hike and Tasting. The most popular visitation experience is through the self-guided audio tour, which my partner and I opted for on a Sunday morning during their last slot at 10:45am and purchased the additional matching card set. We parked in the small, gravel parking lot out front, walked to the gift shop entrance to start our audio tour. Since we were about 15 minutes late, we were advised to start a few stations into the tour and follow through until its completion. While it's clearly outlined on its website to bring your own earphones, we forgot to, but we were provided with equipment to borrow. We also downloaded the app for listening. This day was particularly hot, so we opted to skip over the outside stations and instead listen to their tour while sitting in the inside stations. The site in general is not very air-conditioned, although some stations do have some air-conditioning. I would highly recommend bringing an umbrella to shade from the sun as well as a hat and handheld personal fan. The experience speaks for itself. But I'd recommend it for anyone in the area with free time in the morning and an appreciation for art.
