The retro bicycle sitting outside the entrance had cigar boxes strategically stacked and wood letters spelling CIGARS that left me in awe of the detail. Someone took their time on preserving that piece. When I walked inside I was immediately greeted by the gentleman who later identified himself as the owner, JC. I expressed my appreciation for the bicycle and JC I formed me that he'd done it himself. Along with other amazing pieces...the walls, tables, glass displays, ashtrays all reeked of cigar connoisseur & artist. I sat there talking, smoking, watching tv and learning for nearly an hour before realizing I'd only come in for a gift. My husband and I decided to get a cigar to include in his Christmas present to his dad. We had no idea where to get one, and just happened across this small store while walking to Miracle Mile. The signage outside is not particularly obvious, so if you're driving by just know that it's right on the corner of Andalusia and Galiano. We stepped into the store and were immediately offered help by the one employee there. He was not overly friendly but was entirely competent and helpful, which I can appreciate. The store itself is a small vapor lounge where it seems that you can curl up and smoke if that is your preference. My husband and I told the guy that we were not familiar with cigars and that it was a gift, and he immediately came over to open up the glass doors in front of the selections. He also pulled out an iPad to start looking at options. We wanted a certain price point, and I liked that the employee didn't make us feel uncomfortable about that. He asked us about some of the recipient's preferences and then gave us one he recommended along with its great price. We checked out easily with the iPad and were emailed a receipt. What a quick and convenient gift purchase. We left happy!

The first incident, I went in to visit my friend who worked there - he wasn't working and the man behind the counter had his head down looking at his phone so I left especially since I wasn't acknowledged. Next thing I know, the man chased after me around the corner and yelled through a crowd of people "Was everything okay?! Did we not have something?!". I felt harassed and racial profiled frankly... it felt like he was insinuating that I'd stolen something.. TWO years later, I decided to go back - big mistake! First of all, the cashier advertised "buy one, get two free" while it was actually the other way around so that's a slight yet significant difference... The real issue was regarding the ID machine. One of the men behind the counter looks at my ID and said "mmm it looks kind of weird" despite it being a real Florida ID.. He tries scanning it and it doesn't work but I let them know it has issues scanning at the airport sometimes but I can verify another way.. Then another worker comes over, admits to never actually using the scanner and the first guy says "well look. Something looks off about this ID".. So they fiddle with the machine for a 5 more minutes then I just tell them to give my ID back so I can go somewhere else. As I was walking out of the door, I heard "Aw yeah it was fake." Honestly I just laughed it off and took my business elsewhere... Looking youthful isn't a crime USmoke!
