I was surprised a few years ago when I heard a brewery was opening up near my house. When I checked…read moreout the website it said they specialized in Italian style beers. I've never really tried Italian style but enjoyed IPAs, stouts, pilsners etc. I made it a point to stop in and try the beers. Now this was a few years ago. When I had first stopped in their opening week I tried the beers and thought they were ok at best. However, I know that first openings cannot be a final judgement for breweries as things are getting dialed in and most places are using new setups to make the beer. So I waited about a month and went back and was blown out of the water by the difference in what I initially tried versus what they were making now, the beer was phenomenal and I have been going back since, stopping in when I can. The brewery itself, while on the smaller size is very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. They offer various areas including high tops, standard tables and couch areas ( as well as outdoor seating during warmer months) Every-time I have stopped in they have had a food truck offering available as well as a Chinese restaurant right next door. They also have snacks inside so they have a few options for food. All in all, it's a great place, awesome vibe and some really good brews. Definitely worth a stop in. (Also, they offer beers for veterans. I always make it a point to buy a veteran a beer when I stop in, and yes you can prepay for one)

Odd little place. Locals like it. Parking way in the back makes for an uphill walk to the place…read more You enter, but there is no one to greet you in the very empty restaurant. So you walk farther upward to the bar. Small dark. Limited seating. Cozy and quaint but somehow still awkward. Yelp shows pizza, Steak and other great food. However, I was informed they no longer do pizza. Okay. So, I ordered the steak with red wine. A few minutes later I was told they were out of steak. (6:30 on a Wed). Ok. Np again. The baked scrod sounded good and I flipped my red wine order to sauv blanc. A very good house salad immediately came out. Fresh and full of good lettuce. Not cheap iceberg as well as plum tomatoes and cucumber and red onion. Nice! But it went down from here. Tick tock. Tick tock. Time goes by. The barteneder spending time talking to her favorite guests seemed aggravated that I interrupted after 15 minutes and asked if my dinner was arriving anytime soon? Just as she went to check it finally came out. And was not worth the wait. A $6 piece of cod sitting on mashed potatoes and soggy spinach just saturated in butter. A fish soup almost. $25? Ah not. I was just about to try dessert and the guy next to me ordered another drink for he and his girlfriend. The bartender said no. "We have a three drink max rule." Rude. To the point. Ruined their experience right there and mine too since i already had a martini and a wine. So, I wasnt going to rish an espresso martini with dessert and add more cost to be cut off. Anyway, i decided to skip dessert and just go. I left wanting an underwhelmed.

Food: plating was perfect, presentation excellent and taste was very good as well. Cost: for the area I think it was good, about 30-40 per person and for the quality of food, is on point. Overall: I was impressed with the restaurant and food though a drawback for me was even though I can be considered a great family restaurant, seeing people in tank tops at the bar turned it more into a corner place with great food rather than the upscale restaurant I was expecting. I would go back for the food if in the area.
