Reward after a long 24 hrs with Dear Oma - no broken bones. Long live Oma and Luppolleto!

Stopped in on the coat tails of vaccination & booster freedom. Two years seems too late for an update, but not for Luppoleto and their strong dedication to small batching and the occasional collaboration with other crafters with similar values, quality, and staying true to steadfast basics. Cheers!

I came here with my husband after hearing from a coworker how great the place was and boy am I happy we did. I never would have guessed a great brewery would be in the middle of a strip mall! We parked right out front about 30 min after they opened and the place was already full of people. They do pints and half pints so my husband and I ordered two half pints to try out a few beers. It was so nice to find a place with more than just IPAs on their tap. I loved their hefeweizen and recommend it. The pricing was reasonable, the folks inside friendly and nice time overall. I recommend a visit in!

Near BDL airport! Loved many things about this place! The owners are very involved in every detail- they even made a lot of the furniture as well as the light fixtures. Happy with the beer choices and enjoyed what I tasted. Didn't bring food but choices are close by. Gathering place to chat-don't expect to come for NFL games, etc and that's fine with me !

I've never been inside, but I do follow their food truck menu religiously. Steak and cheese truck is so good!

I've never really tried Italian style but enjoyed IPAs, stouts, pilsners etc.

The beer was very good and the service was courteous. The only negative on the night was that they didn't have any merch for sale - no glasses or hats or tees - which is very odd. Not sure if that was temporary or they just don't bother. Anyway, if you go there, you should have a nice time.

Almost Famous Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in East Granby, Connecticut in…read moreFebruary 2022. It was founded by business partners Chip Glanovsky and head brewer Jim Wilfinger. Friends since high school, the two partners began brewing their own beer using fresh fruit and natural ingredients. Eventually, they had a dream of opening their own brewery. In 2018, they registered their brand as "Blind Faith Brewing Company, LLC". On paper, they are still known under that name. However, sometime before their brick and mortar brewery opened in 2022, they discovered that Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing Company had already copyrighted the name "Blind Faith" for an English IPA of theirs. Needing a new name quick, Chip and Jim settled on "Almost Famous" in reference to the 2000 film directed by Cameron Crowe. The name is also meant to honor all people who almost got famous but didn't in the end. I recently visited Almost Famous for the first time. I immediately loved the space. It's very spacious with a large taproom, plenty of seating, a private event room, a billiards room, and a classic arcade room. I also loved the Rock 'n' Roll theme that was going on. The bar was built to resemble Marshall amplifiers, truss towers, and the tap handles were all different guitars. I started off with a sampler flight that featured "Anything's Impossible" (American Pilsner), "Tangent" (Tangerine Fruited Sour), "Stranger Than Fiction" (Cream Stout), "Everybody Wants Some!" (Pineapple Vanilla Bean Milkshake IPA) and "Bitch 'B' trippin" (Double New England IPA). The latter two were my favorites. Afterwards, I enjoyed a full pour of "Bubblegumption" (Bubblegum Milkshake IPA). Overall, I had a great experience at Almost Famous. I would love to return with my family in the future; my sons will love the arcade!

There is not a host, so it is seat yourself. I was greeted quickly and scanned the QR code of the menu. I ordered the Chili since I wasn't very hungry, but wanted something warm and soothing. The chili was good and came with tortilla chips, which is always a PLUS. It wasn't amazing, but it was good. The restaurant was clean and had a steady flow at the time. Service was good and prices were great as well. If I'm back in the airport again for travel, I will definitely return.

We wandered the small airport looking for something tasty. So we walked by the Black Bear Saloon and here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right in the middle between the 2 walkways that lead to the different gate areas is this gem. It's right next to where passengers who just got off of planes would go to collect their bags/exit. The entrance is wide-open since it's in an airport. This place gives off an upscale tavern feel with neutral wood colors and yellow lighting. It wasn't very bust so it wasn't loud at all. Service: Service was a bit slow to be honest, but let's chalk it up to being understaffed, as lots of places were at this time, so that's okay. We had plenty of time and weren't in a rush to go anywhere. Food: So we are here for the wings! We were able to try 2 flavors so we went with Buffalo and I can't remember the second one. It was a white-ish sauce, but looking at their menu, none of the sauces make sense to be white. Lol. Ah! I remember! Cucumber Wasabi! It's not on the menu for some reason, but it was a very interesting flavor and one I liked more than the Buffalo! The wings were very decent though, plump, juicy, crispy and filling. Value: $14.00 for 9 wings isn't terrible, especially given the wing shortage, the pandemic AND for it being airport food. Not bad at all. I'd come back for these for sure. In conclusion, I think I may wanna do a video here... Hmm... I'd certainly comeback, I usually just don't have the time since I'm usually headed to a plane.
