WORST NAIL SALON IN BRENTWOOD DESPITE CLAIMS OF BEING THE BEST. They've just been in Brentwood the longest that's it. Be careful please. Their stars and reviews on Yelp are mixed and low for a reason..pay attention there's plenty of better nail salons out there for you ladies. Coming back to edit this review after the business owner replied, which I'm shocked she did considering she's the one who was on the phone with me claiming I can't come back in. It does not accurately reflect what happened. The repeated issues with my nails were not a matter of me wanting free services -- they were the direct result of substandard work that failed to hold up as a proper gel manicure should. A quality gel manicure should last 2-3 weeks without chipping. The fact that repairs were needed multiple times speaks to the quality of the application, not to any unreasonable demands on my part. I also want to address your claim that I have repeatedly asked for refunds in the past and that you have granted them -- that is simply not true. That is a false statement made publicly to discredit me, and it is unacceptable. What is also unacceptable is that you never gave me the opportunity to explain my side of the situation. That is not how you treat a customer. Period. I am not alone in this experience either. Several other women have come forward to share that they were treated the same way. On top of that, I have become aware of a health violation at this salon that was reported and not properly addressed -- something every potential customer deserves to know about. I have every right to warn my community so that others are not misled or mistreated. I hope this salon takes this feedback as a real opportunity to do better. If I could give 0 stars I would. After 6 YEARS of loyal business, I was refused as a customer -- and the reason given was completely fabricated. The owner accused me of requesting multiple refunds for coming back in with chipped nails. I have NEVER requested a refund from this salon, not once. I explained this calmly and repeatedly, but she refused to listen and simply said, "My staff doesn't want to help you anymore." No proof. No explanation. No willingness to have an honest conversation. Just a flat-out refusal to book my appointment after over six years of consistent business. To make matters worse, this interaction finally confirmed what I had long suspected -- the staff has been talking about me in their own language during my visits. I always felt uncomfortable and dismissed whenever I was there, like I was being discussed right in front of me. Now I know my instincts were right. Six years of loyalty, and this is how they treat a customer. Absolutely disgraceful. I decided to give them another chance because it is hard to find salons that do Gel-X. BIG MISTAKE! This time the person doing my nails Tee took a chunk out of my finger while she was trimming my nails. Then she proceeded to put nail glue on the blood to stop it. That did not feel good. I am done for good now. I will find another salon that does Gel-X. I immediately went home and tried to get the glue off and put some Betadine on it to clean it out. I've always been happy with the actual service, but when I arrive for my appointment to find my requested tech in mid service with another customer and NOBODY looks up to acknowledge me, that's a big turn off. I walked out and went down the street to L & K Nails where they met me with open arms as a walk in with 0 wait. This has happened more than once. I wouldn't have minded waiting a few minutes while another customer had their service finished, but to flat out ignore an appointment was egregious. I'll never go back, and I don't care how good Tony is. Also, they charge to remove gel polish for a pedi, even if they were the salon that applied it. That just screams greedy to me. I don't get my nails done very often but when I do, I always come here and they never disappoint. I had some free time this morning and called to see if they had an opening. Luckily for me they and asked if I could come right then. I got there around 10am. I waited maybe 3 minutes while Yuly got her station ready. I absolutely love her, she listens, gives suggestions, and doesn't make me feel uncomfortable. I struggle with shakes in my hands and they were bad today and I apologized because I usually have to in general and she said it wasn't a problem and not to worry. This place could really improve its customer service and pedicure experience. I had an appointment (made a day in advance) and arrived 10 min early. I was barely acknowledged by anyone and once I said I had an appointment and that I knew I was 10 min early, I was told to sit and then was ignored until 15 min AFTER my appointment start time. I was just about to leave when I was called back to a dry tub chair. After removing my polish, she finally filled the tub. I have never had a pedicure start that way. The whole experience was not relaxing to say the least. The $43.00 pedicure lasted literally 20min! And that included polish removal, nail trimming, exfoliating with no water (!), a 5 min soak in the water while she did cuticle care, sugar scrub and a weak massage, and then polish. The most relaxing part of the entire experience was sitting there while my polish dried. I will not visit this place again. read more

I absolutely love this nail salon! It's family owned and in a great location. I've been going to Yuly for my gel manicures and pedicures for over two years. When I first went in as a client my natural nails were horrible m, but Yuly helped fix that problem. Over time we built up the strength of my nails and now I can go many weeks without having to get them re done. I get compliments all the time about how beautiful my nails look. I saw the ad in the best of Brentwood magazine and decided to check it out. The atmosphere of the salon is wonderful. Since I booked the morning of, I was assigned to a random nail tech. My nail tech was Tony and I got the best gel manicure I have ever had in over 10 years! His attention to detail and his customer service were amazing! I brought in 2 designs for him to pick from to test if he would be able to create the designs I have been wanting and he did not disappoint! This was my second time here, the last time the lady I had was great, but I cannot remember her name, this time I had Yuli, she was nice but not as thorough as the last lady, in total I spent 35 mins there for a pedicure. she asked if I wanted gel again, as I had come back with gel from previous pedicure, I said yes, I looked at their menu and no where on there does it say if you get gel again, that they will CHARGE you ADDITIONAL FEES to remove the gel when you get gel again! You pay for gel so its crazy they think its ok to charge you again to get gel again!!!! I am all for paying for gel removal if I decide to get regular polish this time around but never ever before have I had to pay additional for new gel, and for gel removal at the same time. When I asked why was I was charged $15 additionally, she said it use to be that way, but ita not fair to regular clients to have to wait for you to get gel removal.... Well ita not ok to surprise people worh HIDDEN FEES EITHER!!! Btw, all her version of gel removal was using the nail drill to remove old gel. She put acetone on my toes for 2 minutes after buffing it with nail drill, and didnt even try to scratch off the old gel because she didnt wait long enough to melt it off. It is not healthy because my toe nails have broken from being soo brittle from them only using the nail drill to remove gel. I do not appreciate hidden fees, I dont mind paying but this is the only salon I have ever stepped into that charges that, and its pretty ridiculous!!! The owner will try to respond and say they have pricing on the menu, nowhere on tbw pexicure menu does it state $5 for gel removal, only says additional $10 for gel. I did ask abiut the price, as state before and she simply said it was because ita not fair for regular clients to have to wait for gel remival, i guess the shop cares more if you get regular polish. read more

I'm very disappointed in my pedicure I pay for the nicest one ( with a extra long massage ) I have had Angela acouple times now and EVERY time I'm very disappointed. She barley gives you a massage and she does not file your feet. All 3 times I've had her she put lotion on and filed my feet while lotion was on , which is disgusting all my dead skin she's just rubbing in my lotion.
