Let me start by saying the stars are for the scone and the scone alone and even that need a little help. A side of sweet cream butter would put this scone at a full 5 stars. Driving by simply delicious many times on York Rd. I have been curious. Today was the day curiosity finally killed the cat literally and figuratively. When you don't hear anyone talking about an establishment locally, that should tell you something - when I asked others about simply delicious. No one had even heard of it. Come to find out it's been an existence for quite some time. What is basically a glorified coffee shop simply delicious yarns to be a posh café/bakery. In reality it leaves a lot to be desired. From the moment we walked into the unfriendly faces. The semi tableservice, (order at counter and they bring it to you) the overpriced food, and the coffee/tea served in paper cups. This is definitely not a sit down place. More of a grab and go type of joint. The hungry man sandwich was served on brioche "toast" that was dry crumbling, and not at all sufficient to handle the weight of the sandwich. The sandwich itself was assembled haphazardly and lacked any real cohesion in both flavor and texture. The platter special consisted of French toast bacon sausage patties (house made) and eggs your way. Mine were scrambled and were decent enough. The bacon seemed high quality but could have cooked a bit longer. The house made sausage patties were overcooked and tough with more spice than I would have desired. The French toast was well soaked in the egg mixture and more than enough for a serving. Probably ranking high on the list of French toast I've had. However, I don't believe it is a staple of the menu. It was a special of the day. I would only really recommend simply delicious when the yearning for a good scone comes around. Either that if looking for a quiet place to sit and chat with an old friend over a scone and coffee - there isn't much of a crowd so it would be the perfect place to catch up. As for me, and he, not likely to return. Far too many other options locally, that have better ambience, food, prices, and most importantly people who are happy to see you and make you feel welcome. read more

Simply Delicious does a great job of feeding you healthy food that fills your stomach and dosnt empty your wallet. Had the brisket sandwich (sliced brisket not shredded) with a side salad and it was really good! My father had a giant breakfast bowl and he really enjoyed it. Self service water and silverware, walk-up ordering and payment (which was a little confusing). Our food server was kind and brought us samples of fresh pressed juice! The three of us decided on "Yeah Baby Brisket Sandwiches"-- delicious slow-cooked brisket, spinach, roasted peppers, and fantastic hand cut sharp provolone for that extra kick-- all on a fresh Ciabatta roll. Simply Delicious by Tina is the star of the culinary show on this stretch of York Road, Jamison, PA. Plenty of parking alongside the stand alone building, with a long ramp up to the main door, you walk into a small deli/cashier area. There you can scan some of the home cooked meals offered by Proprietress Tina and her crew, as well as a sampling of her tasty baked goods. The dining room is to the left, and bathed in bright sunlight on this Saturday morn. Only one table was occupied by a grandfather/granddaughter team, so I gamboled to the other side near the bar for my seat. Orders are taken at the register, so I returned there after perusing the two sided laminate menu. Lots of healthy choices, and I selected the Hungry Person Breakfast Sandwich (3 eggs, 3 small homemade sausages, American cheese, tomato, greens on toasted thick sliced brioche). It was so large upon delivery to me that I asked that it be cut in half so I would have a chance to pick it up and take a bite without it falling apart in my hands. Well, it sort of fell to pieces under pressure from the kitchen knife anyway, but it still looked great when it came back to me. It still wasn't possible to secure it by hand with all the slippery ingredients, so I went after it with knife and fork. I combined different elements on the tines of my fork and jammed each into my mouth, my jaws as wide open as possible. It was totally worth the effort. The parts were as good as the whole. I took home a square of Tina's Key Lime Strawberry bar for later enjoyment. Just devoured that four hours later. Loved it! From moist graham cracker crust through tart creamy lime/cheese body, and hint of sweet strawberry, it was a pleasure all the way down. I wish I would've stopped in sooner, but I'm making up for lost time! This is a great place to grab something to go or stay awhile in the casual dining room. I've had a few latte's baked goods, breakfast and lunch. Tina cooks up very creative specials and you can really tell she loves what she does. Wow. Just wow. I'm ashamed to admit, I've passed this establishment on several occasions and simply kept on driving. All I can think of now is: How do I make up for lost time? I finally called because my employer needed an event catered tomorrow. I knew this was short notice; Tina didn't even flinch at the lack of notice, she even mentioned she's catering a wedding the same day, she happily took my order. I figured I'd stop by after work today and finally support Simply Delicious bc it was long overdue. I ordered a chicken salad wrap, freshly roasted turkey sandwich, Mac & cheese balls & a golden milk latte. Guys- my tastebuds are in heaven. I can't tell if I'm more elated by the food & latte or pissed at myself for waiting so long. Why did I wait sooo long?? As a former restauranteur, I'm rarely blown away. Tina's food is earth shattering. The care, the spices, the perfection! I cannot stress enough the talent that Tina displays in her cooking. Please support this establishment and for the love of God people, have some patience. I was extremely saddened to read a reviewer complain about the dip in service since covid. I don't post a lot of reviews, but this morning I had an event in the area and needed a place to kill time for two hours and get some work done, while enjoying some coffee and breakfast. Instead of going to the nearest Starbucks, I decided to search google maps for something nearby a little different from the chains, and found this place. First off, they were extremely hospitable and gave me the Wi-Fi password so I could log onto my laptop to work for a little bit. Secondly, the food and the coffee were great. I will say that its not particularly quick service, but if you want to be in and out go have a microwaved or premade sandwich from dunkin or wawa. The breakfast sandwich I got was bomb & ill be happy to wait again. The last thing I will say is that it also seemed like a great place to meet up with friends. I was by myself until the last 20 minutes, but a lot of the people in the restaurant were groups of friends meeting up for brunch. This spot is perfect for that or a brunch date with your s/o. Magnificent! Having moved to PA just 6 months ago, we discovered this gem just a little over a mile from our home. Everything is home made and tip top, with competitive pricing (2-item omelette for $9.50 - used to paying $13+ at other eateries).
