Aubrey - Our Awesome Server with her "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm.
    Ron M.

Sunday was our "167th Month-i-versary" and we Celebrated. After Sunday School, several of us ate lunch at Luigi's Italian Restaurant & Bar. When we arrived, Luigi's had a long table set up for us. Aubrey is our server, and everyone placed their drink order while looking over the menu. When our drinks arrived, we ordered. My wife and I are ordering from their Kids Menu. She is having the "Kids Cheese Lasagna"; The name says it all, Cheese & Lasagna. I am having the "Spaghetti & Meatballs" (or as kids say, Pasketty, with Tomato Sauce. Luigi's also has their Buttery Bread Baskets all around the table for your enjoyment, with bowls of butter to add it you want. These Buttery Rolls are Butterylicious, and don't need any more butter - but you add more anyway because you can. They are fresh, warm, and melt in your mouth. It wasn't long before the food arrived, and the kids' portions were a nice size. Lots of Spaghetti with a couple of Meatballs covered in their sauce. My wife's Cheese Lasagna is a beautiful presentation with a nice amount of cheese atop the saucy lasagna. She said it was delicious, and I agreed because she let me have some. My Pasketty was also very tasty. The Mighty-Meaty-Meatballs were Meatballiciousness - great flavor - and just enough for lunch. The Buttery Bread goes very well with the Cheese Lasagna & Pasketty. I also took a picture of the Pizza that was shared by another couple. We ordered a Pizza last time we were here, and it was Pizzalicious. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered, and Aubrey earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-n-beyond' the norm. Luigi's is always a good place to enjoy Italianliciousness in San Angelo. The Staff here helped out Aubrey in keeping everyone's needs filled.

Who would have thought we would find a golden nugget in San Angelo? Luigi's Italian Restaurant and Bar did not disappoint! Three of us ordered three different dishes which we shared, and we all loved each! A classy place, We were welcome dressed casual, but for a night out, why not dress up a little? If we lived nearby, I would definitely plan family events here! Thanks Luigi and staff for an enjoyable dining experience. Feel the love from West Virginia !

The Ossobucco. Was incredible. The pork fell off the bone. Vet Abel's were superbly grilled. Order the angel hair homemade for the pasta which was perfect. My wife had the chicken with veggies which was also fabulous and portions are generous.

I have dined at this establishment twice now. To be transparent, my first experience was a 2 star. However, today I enjoyed myself. The service was quick and efficient. My biggest complaint with my first visit was the food, but today I was impressed with the food. Although not a 5 star meal it did the job and left me satisfied. The feel of the restaurant is slightly outdated but overall cleanly. I enjoyed the bread they brought as an appetizer despite its slight cardboard taste. The bathrooms are small but they do have a lock if you ever need to hide from annoying dinner companions. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for a fine dining experience. But if you're looking for an Italian home cooked style meal this might be just the place for you. Arrivederci!

Luigi's is a good spot if you're looking for a simple and sufficient Italian meal experience. The meal began with a basket of bread rolls that weren't anything special, but they definitely aroused my appetite. The servers promptly brought out another basket once the first one was finished which was much appreciated. For my main course, I had the chicken parm which, again, wasn't anything special, but it was both delicious and enjoyable. For me, a restaurant always earns extra points when the water refills come often, and that was certainly the case with Luigi's. This should speak to the quality of their service which, I would say, was the highlight of the dinner. I'm glad I was able to share this experience with some of my best buds, and we even had a special performance between courses from my friend, Zach. Would dine here again!

PLEASE visit Luigi's!! If you're looking for great food served with superior customer service, you need to go to Luigi's! They provided some of the most polite, and attentive service that I've had recently. I'm from out of town and I stopped in to pick up a pizza to-go a few days ago. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication on my order and I got the wrong item. (It was wonderful, by the way). I phoned them when I got home and noticed the mistake, and they said to come back in and they'd make it right...and they DID, two days later! He was not going to charge me, but I paid him most of what it would have been - mistakes happen, and they made it right! Absolute superior customer service - which in my opinion, is missing in a lot of restaurants. Luigi's has it! Luigi's, please keep doing what you're doing!

Garlic Buns... do not recommend the buns. Appears burnt and taste too garlicky. I enjoy garlic but this was too much. Texture was tough to chew. It appears it was under the heating lamp for too long. I did request fresh buns.. The waiter was kind to Bering more. Mussels were a good choice for an appetizer. Chicken piccata was lacking a bit of the wine flavor. I would still recommend this restaurant. The prices were reasonable. The waiter was attentive. Staff was friendly Restrooms were clean and along with the dining area.

First of all our waitress was just awesome! Very attentive and sweet lady! When you walk in it's very clean and pretty. Seating is very comfortable and spacious. I was impressed with the food especially the ravioli with meatballs. It was very tasty and enough for one. It was very standard Italian food like chicken Alfredo, ravioli, marinara sauce etc. They serve you garlic bread rolls before the meal so that was nice. The portions were good for the price and everything came out clean, pretty, hot and overall really good. The waitress even gave us some mushrooms plate on the house and the sauce with it was good. The tiramisu dessert was so delicious too. Not too sweet, not too dry just great. The parking is good and the place is very clean and pretty. We went on New Year's Eve and they were open until 8pm.

Let me start with the good. The waitress was pleasant and friendly. And she was fairly quick, and checked on us regularly. The ambiance was quiet (we visited on a Sunday at lunch) and the place was about 1/3 full. The white linen tablecloths and plush seats were a nod to a more formal era, maybe their heyday. But I was completely underwhelmed with the food and value for what we got. We split the Luigi Combo that came with fettuccini Alfredo, lasagna and chicken parm. I ordered a side salad because nothing came with the $19.95 plate. What I got was a $3.50 plate of lettuce (see photo). No tomato, cucumber, croutons, nothing but lettuce with a few brown spots and I think shredded carrot. The garlic knot rolls (see photo) looked appetizing but I think they forgot the garlic. Just blah bread I'm not sure if these were complimentary, the menu listed them under appetizers for $3.50 but they weren't on our tab. The $2.95 side of marinara was cold (see photo). The fettuccini lacked a bit of salt but I could tell it was homemade pasta. The 4 bites worth of lasagna was ok as was the 4 bites worth of chicken parm that came on the plate. I don't think I'll try this place again. I think it rides it's reputation from years ago, the decor tells me it's been here awhile and is in need of a refresh both inside and on the menu.

Quick service, kind service, fast ordering and short time for food to hit the table. Even got to talk to the owner of 21 years Chef Nino. What a great guy! What amazing food! The Chicken Cacciatore is fantastic. One of my all time favorite Italian dishes and they nail it. The bread bits and house made marinara are spot on as well. My wife loves her Joe's salad and raved about the house dressing. My son crushed what he could of the lasagna and ate the rest later on that night. I can't wait to come back for a lunch special now. Prices are great for the portions as well.

Going to "Joe's Italian Restaurant" that creates all their Sauces, Breads and other goodies Fresh every day. Arrived at around 5:30pm or so, were greeted and shown to a table for two. We ordered waters to start while looking over the menu and enjoying a Basket of their Fresh Signature Garlic Rolls, which are shaped like a bagel (or donuts) and are Very Garlickylicious - love the Marinara Sauce. We took some time trying to decide what to order because everything we have had here has been Italianliciousness at it's Finest - Joe's knows how to Italian. When our server returned we ordered. My Wife is having their "Eggplant Rollatini"; Stuffed with Ricotta Cheese & Spinach, comes with Spaghetti and Sauce - also ordered a 'Tossed Salad'; Lettuce, Cabbage, Tomato, Cucumber with House Italian Dressing. I am having the ""Beef Tortellini"; with Alfredo Sauce (other choice was Meat Sauce), also a Tossed Salad with Ranch Dressing. We debated on ordering a Pizza but will wait until next time. While we waited for our food we enjoyed those Garlic Rolls. They are loaded with Garlic and that Marinara Sauce is Marinaraliciousness. Soon the basket of Garlic Rolls was empty and our Server (forgot her name - me bad) brought us another basket & marinara sauce. The second basket was half gone when our Salads arrived - served in a bowl with a large container of dressing on the side. The Salad is Fresh, Cold, Crisp and Delicious. My Wife really liked their House Italian Dressing and the Ranch is really creamy and flavorful - nicely done Joe (he moved to Dallas but the Chef in the kitchen is continuing his deliciousness). Soon our main Entrees arrived and both dishes look amazinglylicious. Joe's Italian cares about what they serve and they are meticulous on how every dish is presented - their Presentation of Deliciousness is Spot-On. It tells the customer that their Dish is Delicious before they even try it - and they want to come back. We have been to Joe's several times and every time it's been some of the Best Italian we have had - and we eat a lot of Italian - Joe's does it right. My Wife's Eggplant Rollatini is Huge and stuffed with a lot of Spinach & Ricotta - and she absolutely LOVED every bite she had. She said it was Uniquely Creativeliciousness (or something like that) and LOVED it. I tried it and she's right - it was Uniquelylicious (or something like that). I also had some of her Spaghetti and it was prepared perfectly. My 'Beef Tortellini' was Creamylicious with lots of Beef stuffed Tortellini - and served Hot from the Kitchen. I ate all of mine, except for a bite I gave to my Wife and she said it was Delicious. My Wife took some of hers home for another day - and also one of their Garlic Rolls. We both are stuffed and wanting to come back for more of their Creativeliciousness that you only get at Joe's Italian Restaurant. Our Server earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award (wish I remembered her name) as all the Servers here have - as well as a nice tip. When you are in San Angelo, Joe's Italian Restaurant is a Must Stop - On the way out we enjoyed visiting with the owner, Nino, and he told us how they make everything fresh every day. When you visit Joe's, you experience Italianlicousness with whatever you order - they do it right. On the way home my Wife and I enjoyed another Beautiful San Angelo West Texas Early Evening - and she stated 'I want to go back to Joes'. We will baby, we will - and soon. For now, just shout out to everyone on how you really feel about Joe's Italian Restaurant. When we arrived home, she did just that - shouting out to everyone on how Delicious "Joe's Italian Restaurant' is - Check out Joe's on Facebook - "Joe's Italian Restaurant" - and On-Line.

They scheduled a restaraunt full of reservations all at the same time instead of staggering them a few minutes apart each so that they could keep up with the guests orders. Our drinks took 20-30 minutes to reach the table. I will say the bartender was working hard to keep up, but he definitely needed some help. The salad came out and was good. However, when I ordered my $68 filet, I specifically asked the waiter what it came with. He told me potatoes, and I said, "Perfect." When my steak arrived, there was rice on my plate instead. If someone had simply come back to the table and told me that potatoes were not an option that night, I would have gladly chosen a different dish. It really comes down to basic communication. Our waiter was also the only server covering our side of the restaurant, and it was obvious that he needed help as well. I don't necessarily blame him for everything because he was clearly overwhelmed. What really made the experience worse was the gentleman who came out after we expressed that we didn't like the food. His attitude was essentially "too bad", and he was extremely rude and dismissive. That kind of response to a customer is unacceptable.
