Luigi's is our go to for pizza. The price on the large supreme pizza is unbeatable. The most authentic crust in our town. very good!

We always have great food and wonderful service here. Everything tastes fresh. So fortunate to have a family owned, casual place to eat in Angleton.

This little hidden gem in a small town is something to check out. It was a little hard to find since the front door does not face the street. The bread/rolls were the most disspointing thing here. It was actually horrible. I love bread. I couldn't eat their bread. I even put butter on it.... still not good. Butter couldn't fix their bread. I was getting worried about my choice in eatting here. This place has pretty good Cesar salad and chicken fettuccine alfredo. The Cesar salad had a tad too much dressing for my taste. The chicken is cooked perfectly. I normally am too scared to order chicken because they will over cook it or it has no flavor. In this case, I would order anything with chicken at this place. The noodles were nice and light, it was like a fluffy noodle. The sauce was not heavy, covered all the noodles, and there was not extra sauce on the plate - what i am saying is the noodle and alfredo sauce were portioned perfectly! Sensible portion and good prices! I would visit this establishment again, but only if i was in the area.

I have been here years ago and was a bit underwhelmed. But recently I went, and was happy with our experience. The food is good. We went with a bigger group, but it still came out very quickly and was fresh. Everyone enjoyed what the ordered. The bread was soft and warm, we really enjoyed that as well. They provided us with a complimentary appetizer, little chicken bites. They were great! The lunch specials aren't pricy, which is nice if you have to eat out often during your work week. The dinner menu looked great, as well. I will be back to try that out, as well. :) The waitress was pleasant, and made sure we were never in need of anything. She got our order in quick and was great with suggestions for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy, but had room to accommodate larger parties if needed. Excuse the rushed photos... we were too hungry to really wait!

    Inside interior.

Let's begin with the exterior, the restaurant may need a update. Once, you get past the doors though a whole new scenery I was shocked. Great interior, nice seating almost felt as if it could become an upscale restaurant with some minor changes. To the food we had to try the calamari just because it sounded good. Turned out to be perfect nice crunch with a good texture. The bread on the other hand not so great of course it was made in house, but freshness just wasn't there. I like a roll or bun hot as it just popped out the oven. The service was great greeted us nicely and had some recomendations which made it easier for first time dinning. When I see a folder menu I sort of question if the Italian restaurant uses quality ingredients. The food showed up remarkably quick also any entree a salad is included I had the ceasar it was good. Then the main dishes showed up accordingly very nice timing by the way. Had the spaghetti with Veal tasteful lots of flavors. One thing I could add the portions where a little big maybe tone it down a bit focus more on the quality. We did not have room for dessert although, they didn't have many choices. Overall nice atmosphere, good food, service great, some changes would make this place awesome. Yes, I will be back again for dinner.

Highly satisfied with the food at this place. The lunch special was more than enough. I ordered the cheese ravioli and it came with a side salad. The portion was big enough that I was able to take it home. I would definitely go back when I am in the area again.

We ordered a glass of wine and were told the business was under new ownership and the new owner didn't have his TACB license yet. I mentioned to the waitress (her 1st day) that we could byob. She and another waitress who'd been there for a while both told us that we could not byob. They stated they could be shut down if someone brought their own wine into the establishment. I'm pretty sure that's not correct, but we didn't argue with them. We had the spagetti and meat sauce and lobster stuffed ravioli. Both were okay, but not excellent. Also, he asked for Italian dressing for his salad only to be told they didn't have Italian dressing. How can you call yourself an Italian Restaurant and not have Italian dressing? My Cesar salad was a lettuce and tomato salad with mozzarella cheese. The only thing that separated it from a house salad was the dressing. If we go again, I think we'll maybe try the pizza. There are several good reviews on their pizza, buy they were all posted before the change in ownership. I wish Bay City had a Pappadeux"s

Veal should be overly tender and it wasn't. It had a lot of gristle and I've never tasted Marsala wine like this. It was more of a brown gravy and several of the mushrooms were shriveled up. If this was the actual special of the day you'd think there would be fresh condiments. Lastly I don't understand why I get charged extra for using my Debit card. It's like cash and not a credit. I questioned my financial institution and they were in agreement. I guess I'll just stick to pizza when I go there. They definitely have that going for them.

Updates of Texan eateries I like (1 of 2)…read more The food, the service, the small store ambiance, the parking situation, and the value are still excellent at Ivett's in League City. There should be no need to write an update. I see that my initial review was written about 5 years ago. This is about how they handle the transferral of totaled tabs to the credit card. When I go to the Houston area, I usually eat lunch at Ivett's twice a week - yes, it's that good. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.

The interior of the restaurant is small, but interesting. The pizza making portion of their kitchen is visible from the tables, so you can watch them as they make the pizzas. Our waiter was super friendly, and the service was excellent. We started off our meal with the fried mushroom appetizer. Usually, when you order fried mushrooms, you get an entire mushroom dipped in breading and fried. Here the mushrooms are chopped into chunks before breading and frying. It came with both marinara and ranch for dipping sauces. We loved having the smaller chunks, because if you've ever eaten fried mushrooms, you know that when you bite into them , the juice can sear your mouth. By using smaller chunks, it was much easier to eat, especially when piping hot. We were surprised that they didn't carry banana peppers as a topping for pizzas, but other than that, our pizza was fabulous! But as I was looking at the photos of the pizza, I was trying to understand why the rating was so high. It honestly just looked like pretty standard pizza, so I couldn't quite figure out the angle. But then our meat lovers pie came to the table and I understood. I can't quite describe to you what made this pizza unique, but there was something different about it. I think it might simply be that the crust was airy. Whatever it was, I really enjoyed it. Granted, that magic flavor tended to dissipate as the pizza sat and got a bit soggier, but I still really enjoyed it. My wife ordered chicken parm and she really loved it, but I thought the sauce was a bit on the watery side. Either way, I'm happy we finally got the chance to visit, as we've had Mama Teresa's bookmarked for a while now.

What was once a delightful Italian retreat with exceptional homemade seafood ravioli and attentive service has, unfortunately, lost much of the charm and value that kept me coming back for years. I was excited to introduce my sisters-in-law to one of my longtime favorites, but after spending nearly $400 for lunch for three adults and two children, I left disappointed. The service was average, the prices felt excessive for the quality, and several dishes were heavily oversalted. My $42 Diablo Cioppino was particularly disappointing. Not only was it nearly inedible due to the overwhelming heat and spice level, but it also contained surprisingly little seafood for a dish at that price point. The Gulf Shrimp Carbonara featured overcooked shrimp, and nearly every entrée suffered from excessive salt. While the homemade seafood ravioli remains a highlight, it wasn't enough to offset the overall experience. After more than a decade of loyal visits, this was the first time I questioned whether Riondo's still delivers the quality, consistency, and value that once made it a destination restaurant.
