Stopped in for lunch with the family and Luigi's did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. Our server, January, was amazing! The food was excellent! The stuffed mushrooms are a great appetizer. The chicken Alfredo was creamy and flavorful. The kids ravioli was flavorful and gobbled up by a picky eater. This is authentic Italian food at a very reasonable price. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly to make the experience a good one. the food is the best Italian I have experienced in this area. I usually go around 11 am or a bit after 1 pm to enjoy a quiet lunch. just a tip, great place to have a conversation in those off hours. Great mom and pop place. Pasta is good but not house made. Sauces are freshly made and quite good. However, the pizza is epic! Good morning fellow Yelpers! Today was a great day! Found this great little place in a small strip mall, it's close to a liquor store but that is another story. The front of the business is somewhat dreary. Almost didn't go in because of the exterior vibe. But took a step inside and the wonderful smells of the food took hold of your senses and I knew that I had to take a seat. The service was exceptional. Was shown a seat quickly and had a drink in front of me within minutes. The menu items looked fantastic. The waitress mentioned that the pizza dough and sauce were made on site. Soooo that was an easy choice! Ordered the large pizza with pepperoni and pepper. Definitely was a large pizza perfect for a family of 4 with leftovers! The rolls were nice but would like to see them a little smaller. Salads fresh and tasty! The brothers that own the place put out a great product and are always their to make your food experience perfect! Great job folks!! read more

My wife and I have liked everything we have tried here. One of her favorites is a Stromboli with ham added, and I always get a Luigi's salad and the Luigi's Special (meal). Fantastic! Their pizza is also very good ... a change from the big chain pizza places. The service is almost always excellent, and the waitstaff and owner are always friendly. The only reason I don't give them a 5-star rating is because they close too early at 8 pm (and the posted hours they are open never agrees when checking Yelp, their Facebook page, etc. so you have to call); and since they freshly make their food, I won't order after 7:30 pm. They use to be closed on Sundays, but now they may be open a few hours ... once again, you should call to verify their days & hours open. read more

This little hidden gem in a small town is something to check out. It was a little hard to find since the front door does not face the street. The bread/rolls were the most disspointing thing here. It was actually horrible. I love bread. I couldn't eat their bread. I even put butter on it.... still not good. Butter couldn't fix their bread. I was getting worried about my choice in eatting here. This place has pretty good Cesar salad and chicken fettuccine alfredo. The Cesar salad had a tad too much dressing for my taste. The chicken is cooked perfectly. I normally am too scared to order chicken because they will over cook it or it has no flavor. In this case, I would order anything with chicken at this place. The noodles were nice and light, it was like a fluffy noodle. The sauce was not heavy, covered all the noodles, and there was not extra sauce on the plate - what i am saying is the noodle and alfredo sauce were portioned perfectly! I have been here years ago and was a bit underwhelmed. But recently I went, and was happy with our experience. The food is good. We went with a bigger group, but it still came out very quickly and was fresh. Everyone enjoyed what the ordered. The bread was soft and warm, we really enjoyed that as well. They provided us with a complimentary appetizer, little chicken bites. They were great! The lunch specials aren't pricy, which is nice if you have to eat out often during your work week. The dinner menu looked great, as well. I will be back to try that out, as well. :) The waitress was pleasant, and made sure we were never in need of anything. She got our order in quick and was great with suggestions for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy, but had room to accommodate larger parties if needed. I've been going to this place loyally for 2 years because of how AMAZING the food is. The food never disappoints. But when we go it's hard because of how unfriendly and rude the 3 waitresses are! I would never take the time to write a bad review even if I got treated rudely because I can shake it off. But when it comes to how they treated me as a family group it upset me so BADLY that I finally made the decision to not stay an eat! I have an autistic child that is very quiet and listens well. But he does need to be away from crowds because he gets overwhelmed and anxious. So there was an open table to the end where we always sit and was free and this young white waitress with short hair about early 20's rudely threw her finger in the air and boldly said "y'all can go sit over there" with the rudest tone and infront of my family I walked out so they walked out with me and I said no more! I immediately left. Everytime I go I am treated rudely but still stay and eat cause the food is amazing and despite the mean faces they always have on I still leave them a tip hoping that they will treat us better next time! But NOPE. So if u enjoy delicious Italian food this place is ur place just be ready because those waitresses aren't going anywhere. So if you're okay with being humiliated infront of ur friends and family be prepared. I am upset on how we were treated and finally speaking up. The manager doesn't care either as long as he makes his money he will keep those 3 nasty rude waitresses. HOW DARE YOU treat us this way when all we've ever done is been so kind to y'all always. This is in a very run down strip mall but the inside of this restaurant is fine considering. I went about 9 months before coming here just because the outside is a turn off. That said, I've come here a few times and the food is usually pretty good for a small italian restaurant in Angleton. The pizza dough is pretty lackluster. Desserts however are a bright spot as they have great cannolis. They are also pretty affordable for the area and quality of food. There are far worse places that cost far more in Angleton. read more

Let's begin with the exterior, the restaurant may need a update. Once, you get past the doors though a whole new scenery I was shocked. Great interior, nice seating almost felt as if it could become an upscale restaurant with some minor changes. To the food we had to try the calamari just because it sounded good. Turned out to be perfect nice crunch with a good texture. The bread on the other hand not so great of course it was made in house, but freshness just wasn't there. I like a roll or bun hot as it just popped out the oven. The service was great greeted us nicely and had some recomendations which made it easier for first time dinning. When I see a folder menu I sort of question if the Italian restaurant uses quality ingredients.The food showed up remarkably quick also any entree a salad is included I had the ceasar it was good. Then the main dishes showed up accordingly very nice timing by the way. Had the spaghetti with Veal tasteful lots of flavors. One thing I could add the portions where a little big maybe tone it down a bit focus more on the quality. We did not have room for dessert although, they didn't have many choices. Overall nice atmosphere, good food, service great, some changes would make this place awesome. Yes, I will be back again for dinner. read more

I'm all for supporting local restaurants; there are several in Angleton amidst a sea of chains peppered along Business Route 288. At the urging of colleagues I accompanied them recently and tried Luigi's. I was not impressed. Notwithstanding the fact our server was inexperienced and our service was slow it's the food I'll focus upon in this review. Luigi's dishes simply do not have panache. The food is institutionalized or what I'd call "Sysco Meals" meaning mostly everything is purchased and delivered by a company that sells product to restaurants. Consequently, I suspect the chicken is prepackaged and probably arrives frozen therefore my chicken dinner was lacking in freshness. The menu is devoid of any originality. It would behoove Luigi's to get their hands on some authentic recipes and reinvent themselves. Needless to say that my dining experience was disappointing. read more

I've lived in angleton all my life and remember seeing Luigis pop up when I was high school approximately 7ish years ago. I never tried it, by mom and her school teachers would go to lunch every now and then on teacher work days. Well she decided to pick up a variety of items and boy was I BLOWN away. The Manicotti was absolutely amazing! And it was just cheese, no meat added into. The lasagna was very impressive and the pizza was delicious which I had to warm up after I got home from work. So i didn't even have it fresh out of the oven. Great food, for a great price and can't wait to add this to the list and go into the restaurant this time once the whole coronavirus is over with! read more

Struggling hard for 3 stars. I hadn't been here in about 5 years so I thought I'd try again. I got there at 7:30pm on a Saturday and was greeted "we are closing in 30 minutes". I said ok, I'll eat fast. I told him yelp said closing time was 9pm so you may want to fix that. He said he couldn't but Facebook, etc was right. I was also wondering when did the close time of restaurants stop being last seating time. Anyway, how about the food. Just as I remembered perfectly eatable pre-made "Cisco" food. The dinner rolls/bread were terrible though. Dry and flavorless. I can't believe the owner ever tasted them and thought they were good. Oh well, may try again in another 5 years. So we decided to grab some Italian and Angleton is short on choices. We know that Giovanni is always packed (for good reason). We arrived around 6 p.m. on a Friday and this place is dead. For us this is usually an indication it's time to back out slowly. For some reason we didn't. We sat down and ordered waters and calamari. After that the staff disappeared. It was sometime later that a waitress passed and said our waitress would be with us. Omg there was only 1 other table. Our waitress finally arrived and we ordered. I had to ask if they offered complimentary bread, to which she responded yes.... ok, so bring it... lol... long story short.. skip this place.... if u want less than mediocre italian, then by all means.... stop on in. read more

We have been to Luigi's several times since they've opened, and overall it's a very reasonable quality for the price. The food isn't as good as Giovanni's, but for what you pay it's very good. The salad is... forgettable, but I can recommend any of the entrees. EDIT: Since writing this review I've been back a few times and have chosen to downgrade the restaurant. The food is reasonably priced, but it simply isn't good. The pizza is consistently soggy and floppy, and the toppings don't usually appear very fresh. Avoid the pizza. On the other hand, the lunch specials are decent. They are usually covered in sauce and cheese (which isn't such a bad thing), and it's a nice break from the dozens of Mexican food options we have in town. read more

My family and I were in the area which is very out of our way for an errand when we stopped by Luigi's and I can safely say we will be making the trip out whenever possible because it is AMAZING! The food is fresh and authentic with perfectly balanced ingredients. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly, especially our waitress. We tried the pizza, cannelloni, and philly steak. My husband and I have eaten at this place several times and the food here delivers every time. Real authentic food, had the chicken marsala, it was so delicious. My husband had the shrimp pasta, looked incredible. Service was great, no waiting for refills, or anything. You are seated right away, they bring out fresh hot bread to your table and when you run low they come back out with more. Whenever I'm craving Italian, Luigi's is the place. Every time I've gone (about 6 times now) restaurant is nearly dead. The waiters/waitresses are always kind and check frequently. I don't know what "authentic" Italian is, but the atmosphere gives off that vibe and the food is obviously delicious. We ordered through Waitr having never eaten here before and we enjoyed what we ordered immensely! Everything was still warm, packaged well and as fresh as could be. I ordered the Luigis special and my partner ordered the Chicken Marsala, both were so good we ate until we were almost sick! Caesar salad is a salad, but the dressing is great! Bread is fresh and perfect for dipping. If I didn't feel like I was about to pop, I'd have eaten every bit of it and hated myself for it! Tried Luigi's in Angleton for the 1st time yesterday. I'm VERY picky about Italian food. I, of course, compared it to Giovanni's which is the other Italian restaurant in Angleton. Luigi's was delicious. I thought it was better than Giovanni's which I also recommend. Luigi's is better in availability (open hrs), taste, and cost. I ordered Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and it was very rich and creamy. Giovanni's alfredo is a little "gritty". I also ordered a small pizza to try it - so I would not spend a lot of money on something I end up not liking. It was just great! It is the best pizza I've received since moving to Texas in 2004! It's got a ton more flavor and the sauce used is way better than the big chain places for sure! The pizza also have wonderful crust. It doesn't have the boring "chain" taste. If there could be any improvement to be made, it would be that Luigi's would deliver! I would never order from the large chain stores again for pizza, spaghetti, or alfredo. If you're looking for outright good Italian food, you need to give Luigi's a try! I'm just sorry that I haven't tried it before now! read more

Food was OK, ordered the Baked Ziti and the wife orders a Lasagna. Both were to be served with Ricotta Cheese and Salad. Didn't receive either or. Service was definitely unfriendly. Waitress stood and talked with some guy (assumed boyfriend) for about 10 minutes before checking on us. I won't be returning. If you're looking for a quick mediocre bite GO. If you're looking for a good place to bring the family out for a all around nice/friendly dinner experience DO NOT GO. read more
