In town for my Nephew's Graduation from Cali (Austin native) and found this absolutely amazing hidden gem in the blue collar side of South Bend. I ordered the Chicken Alfredo and my girlfriend ordered the Spaghetti. The food quality was amazing and left us wanting more even though the portions were so huge we ate a second time later that evening. Crew was polite, attentive, and welcoming. read more

Frequently order the pizza from here. Love the pizza. However we thought we would try the sandwiches. Big mistake first and last time. Ordered 1 ham and cheese from the menu we received taped to our last pizza pickup box. Menu is deceiving and shame on clerk taking the order from us over the phone, for not clarifying the difference. The menu states ham deluxe mayo lettuce and tomato. So verbally I order ham and cheese sandwich, keep in mind there is no "plain" ham and cheese sandwich listed on the menu. So I am assuming I am getting a deluxe for $7.00. I have attached copy of menu. The other sandwich we ordered was a Stromboli and as you can see it lists a row of toppings on menu after the word"Stromboli". Toppings were very sparse on this sandwich. So sparse toppings and no toppings, seem to be Rossini's sandwich choice. So, I will no longer recommend Rossini's izza or sandwich's to anyone nor will I be a customer ever again. So disappointed. This is just a few blocks away from my house and I'm upset that we have never gotten pizza from there before! It is super good!!! It's a bit greasy which I love- has a nice crust that you can fold in half like when you were a kid. Great price on two pizzas for real! Lots of other menu items as well that we will be trying ASAP! Guys working in there were super friendly and the place was clean and well lite. The parking lot was salted which I was thankful for since it's soooo cold and icy everywhere. This is BY FAR my favorite pizza joint in the area! My family's been getting pizza here as long as I can remember and is practically a family tradition. My go-to pizza is pepperoni and sausage. The sausage tastes great - very flavorful! You can actually see and taste the fennel seeds unlike sausage used at other area pizza places. And I don't know why, but this place knows that pizza just tastes better when it's cut into squares! Try their cheesy garlic bread and breadsticks too. The breadsticks aren't just dough and semolina (here's lookin' at you Papa John's) but are seasoned with a delicious herb mix. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. read more

I've driven the 15 miles from my house a dozen times just for their carryout pizza! I think they are certainly in the top3 as far as pizza joints in Michiana go. Toppings such as pepperoni and canned mushrooms are pretty standard quality, but their crust is the best around, and the sauce is right up there! I've been disappointed by the sides (breadsticks remind me of Pilsbury - disappointing, considering my love of their crust), but I base the rating solely on their specialty - carryout pizza. Unfortunately, there is no delivery, and most days they don't open until 4pm. They do open much earlier on Notre Dame football saturdays, which is a nice bonus. They usually have pretty good coupons, so stop in and ask for a menu before ordering to save a few dollars! read more

The pizza was good and distinct. I got a mushroom and tomato pizza and a side of cheese garlic bread. Neither are gonna make an appearance on the food network, but they both got the job done. As opposed to other places, Rossini's veggie pizza was NOT watery and did NOT have me running for the bathroom (yeah, I said it). It is a little hole in the wall, but the service I received ranked well ahead of most every other place I've been in St. Joe county. Usually, I like my pizza delivered. But Rossini has very good pizza. Picking up is no problem. It's better than most pizza places. Only 1.2 miles from home. Be honest I have not had their sandwiches. This place is take out only and they do not deliver. While business traveling I am in South Bend frequently. Looking for a pizza to bring back to my hotel room i Google and this place pops up. Gets good reviews so I head over there. I order a 14 inch with pepperoni and sausage. Only suggestion I would make is order the pizza more towards well done. It's kind of a new york-style crust. I find no fault with this pizza and it's the best I've had in South Bend. The people who work there are some of the nicest you will ever meet. Great conversation with mother and daughter. It will be a regular stop when I'm in South Bend and you will not be disappointed. Medium Pizza which is more sized like a large was $14. Sausage and pepperoni are actually underneath the cheese. LIARS! I am a long timer when it comes to Rossini's pizza but never again. They close early way to often. I called to make sure what time they closed, they told me 10pm and I told them I would be calling back after 9 to place an order. I called at 9:30 and they had closed early. Now I know why the last 3 times I have tried to order their pizza, there was no answer. Their menus even say they close at 10pm. They have turned me away forever. Go to Gianettos instead. read more
