Good pie with super thin crust. Sorta like Starlite but the sauce here is not sweet. Good for carryout. Old fashioned tavern style pizza.

Had a 16" pepperoni pizza. The crust was good and very thin. The sauce had a slight tang which added to the flavor. It is served in the traditional circular manner but the cut it into squares. Also, the building is spacious but better suited to take out rather than eat in. I will be ordering again. read more

In my opinion Luigi's is the best pizza in St. Joseph County. Everything about this pizza screams old school, authentic pizza. For some it might be too greasy but that is what adds to its delicious flavor. My only criticism would be the sauce. It has a subtle tang to it that could be changed. It's too much of a tomato paste flavor. Needs to be less sweet and more mild spicy flavor. Don't get me wrong, I like the sauce but it could be better. But overall....wonderful toppings and great crust. Cheese is excellent. I give it 4 stars. read more

As far as pizza goes... Luigi's is the BEST! A must is ordering it well done, however. The only complaint is that their time estimates are usually off. Either I get there and the pizza is relatively cold from sitting, or I have to wait ten minutes for it to finish. It's worth it though. read more

I have not had a Luigi's Pizza for YEARS, but ordered one on my way home from work last Friday and then went back to pick it up! Was absolutely outstanding! Crust just right and thin and crispy, not dry or like "crackers," tons of cheese and delicious! I got sausage, pepperoni, green pepper, mushrooms (fresh, not canned), onion and black olives - with tax was like $20.00 for a large, 14"! Will definitely be my go-to place for pizza - highly recommend! read more

THE best pizza around. I grew up in Mishawaka and remember the special treat of getting Luigi's pizza. And now that I live elsewhere, I can't wait to get my Luigi's fix every time I'm in town. My husband actually got mad at me because I hadn't taken him there the first time he met my family. When he finally had one of their pies, he said, "I can't believe I've missed having this pizza all the times we've been here." The crust is thin and just perfect. The sauce robust and full of flavor and spice. I'm not normally big on sausage on my pizza except at Luigi's. The sausage is just fabulous. Not too greasy, good spice. This is our favorite pizza place. The sauce is just the right blend of spices and tomatoes, and the toppings are all generously placed on each pizza. The thin crust is so special we have been getting Luigi's pizza since my wife of 27 years was a little girl. It is always a special treat, we like the way they use the square slices and the old fashioned circle and bag for takeout. This is a great place for pizza for a party or just a family treat. Ordered a pizza over the phone at 6:30 pm and was told to pick-up in 45 minutes. Got there at 7:10 pm and they never even started baking the pizza! To top it off they tried to make it out that I was somehow at fault. Did they offer me a free pizza? NO! I will never order from their again!!! read more

It's near where I live, and the pizza was done on time. Crust is great, BUT.... I went into this place blind, so I didn't know my pizza would be thin crust automatically. Pizza was also given to me in a bag, which is fine, but I don't see (or rather didn't taste) the difference from a bagged pizza, and a boxed pizza. For a thin crust pizza, it COULD be good. The crust was crispy and cracker-like, which is what your thin crust pizza should be. Unfortunately the pizza is very bland tasting. Cheese on top for a thin crust is also a great way to have the cheese, sauce and toppings part from the crust, making for an annoying eating experience. Haven't tried their sandwiches, but I won't be back again to find out. read more

I had their pizza a couple times a few years ago. The first 2 times it was really good, good crust and I loved the hand pinched sausage. Went back a third time after ordering a pizza, after waiting 30 minutes for it and they kept telling me it was still cooking, I overheard an employee tell the other one the oven it was in was never turned on. Rather than wait for another pizza to be made I left. Maybe the help is better now, I'll try it again in the future, but the location is not very good. The pizza is amazing. I must say the delivery times are horrific and because the pizza is thin, is usually delivered cold. The wings are oven baked and rubbery which is a huge disappointment. Back to the delivery, long wait periods (2 hours + on a non event weekend) when they gave us a 1 hour delivery time. 2 hours later our pizza arrived and the delivery lady was very unapologetic and said she was understaffed. Perhaps a discount or free order of bread sticks next time we order? but not so much. Also, they need to update their hours, never open when they say they are (ie Monday 7pm) read more
