Luis is the Best mechanic out there by far. I have several occasions to use his service. This past week, I had my car in the middle of ave. de carlota and my car just wouldnt go. Push and push on gas pedal. Nothing. Stuck in the worse spot. I called him up, he said no problem bring it in I will see whats going on. He even gave me a really reasonable tow company too($55 towed to luis shop). With in an hour or so, luis was calling saying he found the problem and what should be done. He said if you want to get the parts your self thats not a problem or I can supply them as well. (since the part was still under warranty, I tried to exchange it. Which i did and received the wrong part, went back and again they gave me the wrong part. Luis was patient and understanding. I told him i give up, can you please get the part and i'll take this one back and get a full refund. He had the part with in a half hour and put car back together with in 1 hour. I am always amazed, at his professionalism and how fair his pricing is. He does dealership quality work at a much more manageable price. I highly recommend Luis to any one who wants and honest quote and the work done right the first time. He doesnt cut corners to make a buck, He does it right. Luis has worked on our two Hyundai XG350's. This was Hyundai's luxury car in the early and mid 2000's and we are very fond of them. As they age, parts are hard to find. Luis still found a rack and pinion steering assembly for our 2002 XG350, and he found it, got it delivered, and installed it the same day we made the appointment. For our 2004 XG350 he diagnosed and repaired an illusive ignition problem, this time fitting me in without an appointment. Luis also scouts out impending problems for your car to give you a heads-up on what else is wearing out, and he fixes other problems (with your permission) that he finds while working on the problem you brought the car in for. He takes pictures of his work as he is doing it so you can see how the repair was made. This was my first time at Luis my mechanic. As soon as I waled in I was greeted promptly by Luis, dude you're the man. He helped me out the right way, was very personable and knew how to deliver customer service. I'll be back for sure just because of you... reception area was very clean with a TV and amazing selection of magazines for a auto shop. The prices are great (nothing compare to a dealership) and he's fast and does a great job. I brought my car just for an oil change (he doesn't know but I know about part and brands) he put synthetic oil and a good brand oil filter (nothing compare to walmart LOL) In addition to that he checked the tires pressure and did a quick inspection. He said my car was in a great condition but there was a stud in one of my tires, he took care of it for free!!! Luis, the single best mechanic in the area, I had brought in my car with a coolant leak and he had explained everything that he would do to diagnose the problem, albeit my Spanish is awful I still knew what he was saying, so I left my car in over the weekend, came back with the diagnosis that it was indeed leaking where I had suspected it to leak, had given him the go ahead with the repair and was told the end of the next day. Well the end of the next day rolls around and there rings the phone. I'm told it's ready and I would like to show you what happened and why it happened. I roll around with my dad (best dad ever, he told me to come here) and Luis tells me all the technical jargon and I remain astonished at his level of honesty. If you need work on your car, Bring it to Luis first. I thought for sure my truck had a blown head gasket and that an engine rebuild would solve all my problems. Luis gave me a quote for a rebuild way more reasonable than five other mechanics I went to. Before Luis did the work on my truck, he highly suggested a leak-down test on the engine to make sure that the head gasket was the problem. Sure enough, my piston rings were shot and a rebuild wouldn't solve my problem. Im so glad that I took my truck to Luis because he saved me sooo much money. A different mechanic would have taken my money and had my engine rebuilt for no reason!!! I recommend taking your car to Luis. His expertise, experience, and prices are unmatched. My 2005 Camry with over 200,000 miles overheated and broke down coming back from Vegas a few weeks ago. Luckily we made it back with minor repairs at Baker, but the car started knocking and the timing was completely off. I almost scrapped it based on a suggestion from my regular repair shop, but I decided to get a second opinion. I found Luis on Yelp! He inspected my car and diagnosed the problems as a bad ignition coil, knock sensors, and dry-rotted hose, etc. He then made the repairs thoroughly and went beyond to clean up the whole engine. I brought my car to Luis to have some aftermarket headers installed. He quoted me a great price and we set up an appointment to drop off the car. The day came and I dropped off the car with all the parts and was planning to Uber it home, but Luis gave me a loaner car which I didn't expect. Saved me some money right there. Got a call in a couple of hours saying that the car was done. Went to pick it up and Luis showed me pictures of the install process and then went over the car with me to make sure I was happy. two weeks ago I had a problem with my toe adjusters and I took it to Luis to see if he could do it.
