My husband and went for the first time here. I gave it a 1 star because the waiter was excellent. We husband had to return his fryer eggs 3xs. Each time it was burned. He asked for medium over and I guess they understood burn eggs! If I was the owner I wouldn't have charges for that breakfast. Not to say the time it took them to cook. About 15 minutes each time. This is my go-to spot for breakfast or brunch. I love coming here before heading to the beach. I usually order the Luka Bites, which include chicharron, empanadas, tequeños, and arepitas; everything is great. I also pair that with a passion fruit juice. They are also great when you want to take something to the office; they have different sharing boards. This is how I discovered this place: someone in the office brought a sharing board, and I instantly fell in love. The place is great for catching up with friends over coffee. Doral has become a hub for Venezuelan/Colombian flavor in Miami. This restaurant perfectly combines the two. So many dishes to choose from and everything on the menu looks AMAZING. The portions are big enough to share. We had several menu items. I started with a coffee and a tequeno. My husband order a jugo de Lulo and it was delicious. We had the chicharrón ceviche and the sauce they use as a base is so rich and flavorful definitely an interesting concept worth trying. As a main course we ordered the paisa bowl and I am glad we decided to share it because it was huge. The service was nothing out of the ordinary it felt like they were a little short staffed. My wife and I shared two of their bowl dishes (PAISA BOWL and LOMO SALTADO BOWL) Normally, I would go for the Paisa Bowl, however, the sauce of the steak in the Lomo Saltado bowl was phenomenal. Both were cooked to perfection, but I will likely get the Lomo Saltado when I come back. They had multiple specialty drinks and enjoyed the refreshing Guanabana (Soursop). DO NOT COME HERE, WE JUST GOT VIOLENTLY SICK! We ate here this afternoon and after thirty minutes, my fiancé has puked on himself driving home at least four times. I'm on the verge of vomiting and both of us had diarrhea. We had the birra tacos, latte, the cachapa chicharron, and the paisa bowl. Something made us so ill that we couldn't even make it back to our place and had to stop at his poor mother's house looking and feeling (and smelling) like death. My mom recommended that we come here for a family lunch. This restaurant is so cute with indoor and outdoor seating. It seems to be a Colombian/Venezuelan fusion. We had no complaints. The food was so good I didn't even stop to take a picture. We all had a type of bowl. All of the bowls except the Paisa bowl come with a soup. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious. Luka is a favorite of mine! Being Venezuelan I am always on the hunt for good arepas around town because it's hard to beat the one's abuela makes. Luka's food is extremely comforting which is a testament to the sign at the entrance: "Comfort food with love." I was also so hungry I completely forgot to take a photo of my food. I started off with an iced latte and a Passion Fruit juice. Their coffee always hits the spot and the juices are always so fresh. I then had an arepa with queso paisa (cheese!). You can order the arepa fried or grilled. All around delicious. Our server, Paula, was very nice and made sure we were well taken care of. Stopped by here after 2 flights and I was so hungry! This restaurant had a beautiful ambiance inside and great seating on the outside! The staff was very nice and treated us great! Once I was ready to order, I got the carne asada arepa and the fried yuca bites as well as a passion fruit juice. The food was out pretty quick and WOW it was delicious! The yuca bites came with a garlic sauce and ketchup and were cooked perfectly. This was my first time having an authentic arepa and it exceeded my expectations! It was served promptly and freshly made. The service was great. Rainy day party of 6 was no problem for them. We were seated promptly without needing reservations. Breakfast lattes were all accommodating with almond, oat, and whole milk options. Fresh juice options were cold and refreshing, my favorite is their coconut lemonade.
