We went on a Saturday night, so we had to wait an hour+ for a table or two seats to open at the packed bar, which is to be expected on a busy night. There was a buzz, and it was rather loud, but festive. I ordered the make your own pasta, which was hardly that as they had one noodle and one sauce, but several choices of protein. The sauce tasted like it came out of a can, it was not good and was corroborated by my girlfriend. I asked them to take it back and ordered the crusted chicken dish that came with carrots, mushrooms and mashed potatoes bedded underneath. It was really tasty, but it wasn't a lot of food. Located on the 4th floor of a historic downtown building, this location can be a bit hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. Luckily, Yelp once again saved the day, and we made it to Luke's for a midnight cocktail in celebration of my birthday. The vibe changes as soon as you exit the elevator; this bar is stylish, sophisticated, packed with locals, and serves a killer mojito! Space is definitely limited, and we couldn't find seats even with the large bar area and booths lining the wall. They also had live music prior to our arrival - note to self for future visits! Luckily, there was also a fantastic patio with a great atmosphere (plus heaters!) for late night visitors to enjoy. This would be an unique spot for a first date, birthday celebration, or even to host a private party with their attached banquet room. read more

Definitely recommend a reservation especially on the weekend. That being said we enjoyed a couple cocktails at the bar while we waited for our table. The staff was super friendly and communicated with us the entire time we waited to be seated. Once we finally were seated at our table our service was fantastic and the food was delicious. One of my new favorites in Old Town. Excellent service, great view, good food. Located on the second floor, you can take the elevator up and be seated by the hostess. Service- Hostess was super accommodating. As we were having a hard time deciding in or outside seating since it was a cold night out, the hostess took us outside to see how we like it. We chose to sit outside, and our server moved the heat lamp closer to our table. Our server Hailey was excellent. She had a great attitude, came to check on us frequently, and never made us feel rushed. Venue- plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, great view from the outside! And plenty of heating lamps if it happens to be a cold night out. They are able to accommodate small and large groups. Nice looking bar with plenty of seating. Food- Nothing wowed me, but everything was good. *truffle fries-good, but not super flavorful. The sauce that accompanied it was so-so. Most meals come with a choice of fries or fruit, so if you are in the mood for fries I just recommend getting the with your entree. *Ahi taco-I really enjoyed the seared ahi with the lettuce and avocado, it was a bit messy and fell apart though. I think instead of one big taco, a couple smaller ones would make more sense. *BBQ meatloaf sandwich- again, taste was good, just a problem eating it. The actual meatloaf patty is very condensed and round, I felt the patty only took up half the sandwich, leaving most of the sandwich just bites of bread. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy and went well with the meat loaf. The bread was buttery and lightly crisp, yum. Overall great experience. I'd come back even just to sit and have happy hour with a great view of old town. read more

I hosted a surprise birthday party for my wife's birthday here and it was amazing. The night couldn't have went more perfect. The staff did everything right to make the surprise go off with out a hitch and the service throughout the night was great! Besides the service being great the food was amazing! Had my first experience there last week at a party for a friend. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The manager/owner took great care to make sure everyone was attended to and that all went without a hitch. Even took photos for us. Food was buffet finger foods and everything was fresh and tasty. Luke's was awesome! I took my Florida family here and it was all our first time. There was 8 of us in our group. Tanner was our server and from beginning to end he was 5 star amazing! He recommended certain drinks and went over many food options. I've waited tables and bartended for 9 years and to have 6 adults and 2 kids leave happy is a slight miracle sometimes. This rooftop fine dining restaurant/ cool laid back outdoor- indoor bar is a Temecula gem. Vibe- This night's vibe at the bar is a bit more laid back than yesterday's. So we walked up here yesterday ( Friday) and the bar section had more families and couples. Tonight, there are more younger singles. It is more like a higher end college bar in this section tonight. More fun. The Patriots-Titans game was on and it definitely fed to the more casual vibe of this section. The dining room was closed off, so that part remained the same---- at least from our view. Btw: you should call and make a reservation. Food - In fairness, we ordered the Prime Rib Special and the Lamb Ossobucco. Thus, we were not surprised that both dishes came out to be perfection. The lamb was so tender in its delicious sauce served over half mashed potatoes and cous cous (we requested). My husband was blown away by this dish. I am not a lamb fan, but even I loved the dish. Let go to my Prime Rib! I love prime rib and have high standards. This gem was served on mashed potatoes. It came as requested- medium and was just so flavorful. The Au Jus was so good. The horse radish sauce was simply great. See, I also am a glutton for putting this sauce on my mashed potatoes and my vegetables, so the extra serving they gave me was much appreciated! We ordered a bottle of City Lights Pinot Noir, which paired well with both entres. Service- Our server was the bartender and she was attentive but not intrusive. She took our order in a timely manner. The bar assistant (Danny) was just amazing. That man worked non stop while cheerfully interacting with the staff and guests. He was simply great. Entertainment- Caleb the magician was awesome. Although he was in the dining room, he came and performed for us at the bar. His magic tricks were so good. There is also a live band on Saturdays that starts at 9. We left before they started but the crowd was growing when we were leaving. The game being on was much appreciated. What a great place! After we arrived to Old Town Temecula, we tried to find a place, which is not crowded, but have various kind of food. We were soo happy, when we found this place. It is on the rooftop of an office kind of building with a beautiful view. Our waitress Sadie ( who also the bartender there) was great, very kind and helpful to pick the drinks. Which was a cranberry cider for me (tasted like christmas, highly recommended) and made a ginger ale from scratch for my friend. Then we picked a hummus plate as a starter with 3 kinds of hummus, green olives, capris, and bunch of chrispy vegetables, like cucumbers, carrots, celery and it also came with toasted french bread. When it arrived, we already knew, whatever we'll pick, it's gonna be a bomb. Well, we were right. I ordered the bruschetta, which came in a small cup, with some vinagrette dressing and toasted baquette and a VBK salad. Everything was soo tasty and beautiful. Even the salad was beautifully represented. My friend got the fried calamari and some fries and it was very chrispy and delicious too. Hands down, it was one of the best meals I EVER had in my life (and I've been in some places before)! Presentation, colours, flavours and even the prices, because for everything we only paid 80$. My husband and I came here for a date night out. We asked for a table outside overlooking old Town. Nice view!! However disappointed in the service. We were sat at the table by the hostess and told our server would be right over. We waited and waited and waited. Two servers walked right past us and one of them was even at the next table . She offered recommendations when we just couldnt decide, catered a bit towards my girl who was celebrating her 49th birthday which was great. My girl and I, being a couple experienced a bit of discrimination on another visit to Temecula a few months back at a very upscale establishment & we were leary but Sadie definitely made up for what the other place lacked. She treated us with nothing but respect, made us feel very welcome & comfortable. The food, the food was amazing! The girl had the FINN'S FILET TRIO,   which was filets topped with a peppercorn demi glaze, blue cheese compound, crab with béarnaise compound, accompanied by asparagus, light garlic mash potatoes, & fresh vegetables. She thoroughly enjoyed every bite. The meat was like butter, so tender like melted in your mouth. I had the BLACKENED SALMON drizzled with a homemade lemon caper sauce, served with jasmine white rice & fresh vegetables. So flavorful, best salmon I've had. Dessert was CREME BRÛLÉE & WHITE CHOCOLATE & JAMAICAN RUM CHEESECAKE, let me sum it up with Wow! This place is amazing, a little pricey but as a whole package it is so worth every penny we spent. I was in Temecula for the weekend and after a good lunch elsewhere in old town, I came here for the first time on Saturday night, around 8pm, based on the recommendations from friends in the area and yelp. I cannot speak about the food, only safety precautions taken during this time. Red flag number one was the hostess taking temperatures at the front. There were 2 women, the shorter taking temperature. -Her mask was covering over only her mouth, nose was exposed. -When my friend was curious asking what the temperature was supposed to be to bar people from entering, her response was, "I don't know" accompanied by a shrug. Why even take temperatures if the person tasked with doing so doesn't know when she needs to tell people they cannot enter? Red flag number two -Walking in and see while the dining spaces were following guidelines which would have been nice if we had made a reservation, the bar was elbow to elbow of people without masks. I have been to restaurants with open sitting during this time with blocked areas, there is a safer way to protect guest safety. Red flag number 3 -The bartender took at least 2 orders from 2 different parties with his mask dangling from an ear, defeating the purpose of even wearing one. He may have taken more orders than that, but I was only able to observe what I could in the time I convinced my friends to go to another restaurant where they did practice social distancing. I am really disappointed because of the reviews of my friends and yelp but a visit back here is going to have to wait until safer times. read more
