I decided to give this salon a try. I really enjoyed my time here and Luke is amazing. He really makes you feel at home and is pretty funny. He was able to understand what I wanted and even gave me advice on what would suit me best. He mentioned that at his location they also wax eye brows. I took the day off on Monday to get some errands done, including getting a much needed haircut. This was the only place that received a pretty great rating on Yelp that was on the way back home and that was opened on Monday. When I entered, there weren't any clients and the hairstylist was sitting there with a kid on his lap. I didn't know exactly what I wanted so I let him choose. Pretty daring of me since I've never been here before, huh? All I told him was that I wanted something kind of edgy and easy to maintain since I was surprised I even had time to brush my hair this morning lol... So like the other Yelpers that reviewed this salon, he picked up 1 of the mannequin heads on display. Just a side note, all the mannequins on display had some sort of a bob cut. He picked the one with the shortest bob. I told him sure because I've had that haircut before and I was comfortable with it. The cut he gave me was nice. He styled it nicely... the reason for the 3 stars? Against the advice of MANY hairstylists I've come across and from Webmd, this stylist told me that I should be washing my hair everyday. My hair isn't thin and it takes a few days for it to look disgustingly oily. I was always told that I shouldn't be washing my hair very often because washing it would dry out my hair and take away the essential oils that would make my hair prone to breakage. His statement just invalidated him in my book as a hairstylist. read more

0/10 First time and last time here. I stopped here on my way home for a mani and pedi. A nice lady was doing my pedi first, sorry didn't get her name. Anyway as I was getting my polish done a man came in to get his cut by the owner Luke. There were only four people in there so I could here the convo. I was saddened to here their spew of homophonic hate. Things like "they need to be saved" and so on. I was sooo uncomfortable. I payed for my pedi and declined my manicure. The woman doing my nails seemed uncomfortable also. I apologized to her, paid and left. I would never go back! As I left I told them both to be better humans and to do better. His excuse you ask? I can respect that people have different opinions but he acts like a 16 year old trying to put others down for fun. He's good at cutting hair/split ends and is fairly cheap $50 but is way toooo political, and will not give you what you want. As soon as I sat down he asked me how I feel about abortion. I'm a 20 yr old girl and this is my second time here. Then proceeded to tell me that abortion is m*rder etc. and those women will go to hell. I personally don't care about what a woman does to her body, but I do have friends who have dealt with this, and didn't feel comfortable at all discussing this with him here at a SALON! Finally as I'm paying, he sits a young man down to get his haircut and also ASKS HIM a maybe 16 yr old boy if he supports abortion! What is wrong with this man, does he understand there's a time and place for everything? Would not recommend if you're coming to get a specific haircut that you want as he only does/suggests haircuts he can do, if you mention you want a trendy haircut or new hairstyle instead of saying no he can't do it, he will shame you insult you and bully you into getting his old fashioned haircuts which are either a bob or something outdated from the 90s. Would not recommend to his place if you're coming for a haircut you want/style you want. Also does not take Apple Pay, when says it does online. Told him I wanted my bangs shorter so I can see and he told me I'd look ret**ded with short bangs, made fun of my layered haircut when I walked in this is my second time here, told me I looked like a hippy and flat out bullied me. He will bully you into getting one of his haircuts, and will not let you choose your own style, and if he does he will show his anger throughout his work and attitude. Please go anywhere else! Came here to relax and feel good about myself/appearance left with the opposite.
