    Lula's times on website.

Posted closing time is 11PM. We walked in at 10:17PM for a drink and hopefully some tapas. As soon as we entered the bartender looked at us and said "We're done." There were several people at the bar. Been there before and had a good experience but do not plan on going back for a very long time, if ever. Edit. I see Lula's response. We checked the website, not Google, before heading over. Website states 11PM. Image attached.

The food was delicious and full of unique flavors. The ambiance was excellent, and the service was quick. Overall, a wonderful experience--highly recommended!

    Cuban & potato salad

I won a gift card to this restaurant 2 years ago & since we don't live close by I was unable to try this restaurant until today. It just so happened that I was working in the area and remembered that I had the gift card in my wallet and so I stopped in for lunch at 1 PM on a Wednesday afternoon. When I arrived, there was one other couple at the bar and two tables with two couples seated at them. It is a small place, so it does not accommodate a lot of people. I would suspect that reservations might be necessary for dinner otherwise you may have to wait for a table. I really like the decor inside. The bar was cute & had actually the nicest cushioned barstools I've seen lately! I sat at the bar since I was solo. They have an extensive wine list, including some pricey bottles, but very many choices by the glass. They also have several sparkling choices. I'm always hesitant to get sparkling by the glass because it's not always fresh. But I did try their sparkling rosé & it was fresh, dry, bubbly & enjoyable. It was $13 a glass. Their French onion soup was delicious, served in a crock as it should be with a soft crouton on the bottom, tons of flavorful onions in the broth & yummy baked cheese on top. I do recommend their Cuban sandwich, there's a little twist on an original Cuban with this one. I really did like that sandwich, and it came with potato salad on the side... The potato salad was good, but did not have much flavor, but you could tell it was fresh made, and not potato salad out of a jar. The bartender was also the server for the tables and it was not very busy. A lot of people mention that they had to wait a long time for their food and it was not speedy, it looked like there were two guys in the kitchen. Several of their tables have couches and low coffee tables and I know that is sometimes cumbersome for older folks when it comes to dining. although that kind of seating is great if people are just having drinks and cocktails. So I could imagine there would be a wait if it's a busy evening. But I did enjoy my visit and if I was ever in the area, I would definitely try it again. There is pay parking along the street.

The ambiance is amazing - very quaint and cozy, such a cool vibe. The food was delicious.. there wasn't a thing we didn't like. I apologize, I didn't add pics of the crab cakes and lettuce wraps because I was hungry. I recommend both!

Excellent place for lunch and dinner! Their ribeye burger might be THE BEST I've had in the entire area. Smokey, rich beef flavor and just the right size for lunch. Also, their breaded citrusy cod bites with garlic aioli are fantastic! #yum Finally, their French onion soup is delicious and tops off a great lunch in a warm, inviting atmosphere ~ lounge style seating around the bar. Dessert: Tiramisu! A great place to indulge in a drink, or two and enjoy a hot and hearty delicious meal!

Lula is perfect for dessert and drinks with girlfriends. Our waitress was engaging, friendly, and fun! There's a cute booth lounge section that fit 7 of us around one table - perfect for our size of group. Also there's a bar and tables as well. The desserts were delicious, we shared 2! And the bottle list was extensive. 4 stars only for the not-so-great espresso martini my friend ordered. But totally will always be sure to stop here when in Sewickley!

Cute cocktail/wine bar in Sewickley. Vibe is comfy cozy. A good place to meet up with friends for drinks and maybe enjoy an app (tapas). I thought they served full meals so I came here hungry. I would advise NOT to do that, lol. The tapas were good but not filling at all. Portions are so small for what you're paying for. The signature/most popular thing on the menu is the meatballs so I would recommend those. I also got the crab mac n cheese and was pleased. Please note this is a small venue so make reservations or try to come early at dinner time to ensure you get a table.

The best part of my second visit was the company, and I can take him elsewhere. Waited a long time for a table, which was beside the door that wouldn't close by itself on a cold night. My old fashioned was bitter. I found the scallops salty, and one was still cold inside. The petit filet with au gratin potatoes was actually okay. I was still hungry, but when we finally tracked down the waitress, she tried to give us the bill instead of letting us order dessert. I think next time we'll try Forma.

Lula has a fantastic cozy vibe where you can relax and enjoy a nice bottle of wine and some small tapas. They have a great selection of both wine by the bottle and the glass. They also offer a full bar.

This is a gem of a place. Wow! I was so glad I found it on Yelp. I would have otherwise never known about it. I was super excited to try this place and boy did it exceed all of my expectations. The town this place is located in is very inviting and the people who work here are too. I didn't expect anything otherwise though. Upon entering I saw people from outside the windows talking, smiling and enjoying themselves and I knew right then this place was my kind of place. Me and my date first sat down at the bar to enjoy a glass of wine and beer. The bartender was very welcoming. Then we moved over to the couches and ordered another drink and the citrus fish bites app. Wow, again! They were very good and the tarter sauce was probably the best I have ever had. The waitress was very welcoming and friendly as well. We didn't stay long because my date was a bit tipsy(lol) from prior drinks and she accidentally knocked over the lamp on the table but I apologized. They were super nice about and giggled as only the bulb itself stopped working. *Be careful when sitting down close to the wall as the lamp cord could accidentally get in your way if you're not aware of it. This place is top notch and deserves five stars. I'll be back the next time I'm in town and I will recommend it too anyone I know who is visiting Robert Morris University or the surrounding areas. Thanks again and I'll see you soon!

Lula in Sewickley is a cute wine bar with an array of wines by the glass or bottle, small but good food menu and the cutest aesthetic. A must check out!!!

Lula is SO cute inside! I have eaten lunch there twice, and both times were memorable! The workers and owner are super friendly and the space is warm and welcoming. I got the french onion soup both times with either a wrap or a sandwich. The soup is really flavorful and perfect for a chilly day. They have an awesome wine list with some really interesting and unique wines you won't find anywhere else. Yes, I had red wine and soup for lunch.Their huge entree salads seem to be very popular too! They also make homemade potato chips that are delicious. Add a side order with your sammie! We also got a large piece of chocolate cake to share at the end of our meal. Can't wait to try Lula for dinner!

For the main items with dinner I had the Spaghetti Alfredo. Delicious. I took a bite of my husband's Spaghetti Ala Vodka and it was good, it did have a bit of a kick (heat/spicy) to it. I like that stuff. I saw some other Yelp reviews mention the meatballs. I ordered 2 on the side, they were very tasty, I loved them. I ordered 2 specialty drinks from the Italy menu. I love that they make them pretty. I forgot to take a photo of my 2nd drink. The inside is intimate, your tables are close so it can be loud from being so close in proximity. Parking is tight but I knew this from other reviews but it's worth it. Our waitress was so kind, short dark hair woman. They package your leftovers into the boxes which is such a nice touch. Can't wait to return!

There is inside and outside seating as well as some bar seating. The decor and atmosphere are interesting. Our server was super friendly and reminded us happy hour was over in 10 minutes, so we quickly looked at the drink menu and ordered. They have lots of drinks!!!! I settled on a lemon blueberry martini and it was good. The food menu is very limited, but being that Italian is my favorite, I was a happy camper. 4 of us shared the arancini, which was not my favorite. I order this often when I am out and this one was dry and I didn't care for the prosciutto and cheese in the middle. For my entree, I settled on the spaghetti and meatballs which arrived steaming hot which I love. There were 3 huge meatballs which had a nice little spice to them. The sauce was good and the portion size was perfect. No room for dessert. Overall, a good evening

We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We're already looking forward to our next visit when we're in the area again. Don't forget to thank them for their service when you stop by!
