My experience of this location s has always been positive. Staff is friendly, helpful and the store is clean. The only gripe I have is parking but that's not the fault of the store. I had damage to a favorite sweatshirt that I needed to remedy and from the moment I walked in the door, Jess made me feel valued, heard, and willing to work with me. She assured me that she could help, offered a mutually agreeable solution and had my in my way in about 6 minutes. She even took the time to, you guessed it, educate me on the nuances of the exchanged item. Nice lululemon location, located in Old Town Alexandria. The store has a nice selection of items and was what you would expect from most locations. I was able to quickly grab the item that I was looking for (thank you TikTok for making that difficult!) and check-out without any issues. Clothes? Exactly what you expect from Lululemon. Service? Mediocre. Cramming all of my clothes into a bag without folding them after I spent nearly $900 to outfit myself for a work trip I'm taking this weekend? Abysmal. It doesn't take much effort to just fold the clothes. The sales associates knew this was for a work trip and weren't considerate enough to fold the clothes before putting them in the bag. Lululemon picked well by locating here. They're definitely hitting the demographic they target. We wandered in late one weeknight close to closing time. The shop was still open, though dead empty. The shop keepers were immediately helpful and attentive. Unfortunately they only had one pair of my favorite socks, otherwise I would have bought more. The store is spacious with a lot to offer for men and women. I actually found it to be one of the largest Lululemons I've ever been in. Prices are what you expect at any location. Perhaps even a touch higher because of being in the DC area. If you find yourself shopping around this area, it's worth a stop inside. read more

Avoid Taylor and another older skinny educator (I didn't catch her name but her cashier ID is 99994000088126) ! They are the worst educators I've seen since last year. As a POC, I've never had any good experience with Taylor. She followed me around the store and stared at me as if I'm a thief every time I visited, at first I thought she's just new as an educator, but if I wanted to be nice and make a conversation with her, she just appeared bored and uninterested.. Recently I went to the store 2 days in a row ( yes I'm obsessed with the brand), she questioned me why I didn't buy an item that I looked at the day before, I told her I decided not to get it because I preferred other color, and she turned around and repeated what I said mockingly. It caught me off guard and I felt so uncomfortable of shopping there. Not every visit = purchase, and treating paying customers as thief is just bad service. The older educator (cashier #99994000088126) is just a nightmare, she's is incredibly rude and unpleasant to talk to. One time, I purchased an item to pick up the next day, she questioned me why I picked up my purchase the next day even though SHE did the transaction the day before. Another time I came in to look at the sales section and she asked loudly if we were scouting the sales, she made me and another customer felt really uncomfortable right away. The other customer immediately felt shamed by her and left. I used to love shopping at the Alexandria location and always highly recommended the store to my friends, I don't think I will anymore, I'll be bringing my business to Tyson's and Clarendon locations, they have better selections and much better customer experience anyway. read more

I usually love shopping at Lululemon but the workers are so rude in Old Town. I watched as the workers on the floor greeted every single person but me. When the worker asked a woman if she could take her clothes, she saw me with my hands full, and acted like she didn't even see me. When I was waiting for a dressing room, I asked for a smaller size and the woman looked me up and down in a very demeaning way. She continued to help all customers first before helping me. I had the majority of the store staff (except the people at the cash registers) treat me poorly. From the various disturbing reviews, I can see why this store has such bad customer service. I'm not returning and honestly it's a shame how Lululemon lets their staff treat their customers. read more

My husband and I shop lululemon all the time so I know how it works and what is baseline customer service and what is not. All the employees here were super nice expect for what I assume was the owner or manager? She was giving customers a bad time for no good reason. I had to return an item that I didn't have time to try on before I bought it the week before and of course I had her as my cashier. Was asked why I was returning it, made a comment under her breath and was trying to subtract a discount on the merchandise (return less money) when the receipt said I didn't use a discount. After showing her my bank statement she then believed me lol. Honestly it sucks that they're the only lululemon super close to me but will think twice before entering that store now. :( read more

I went in to return some items. I had the email receipt and the clothes and they made me log into my account which showed the purchases and the "educator" kept saying the system wasn't pulling up the order and I could get only a store credit because I purchased online using PayPal and they couldn't return it to PayPal. So the manager, Frances G, said I had to call the customer service number and resolve it myself. She was curt and rude. Like I did something wrong! Then the manager walked away and went through a door and slammed it leaving me and the cashier not knowing what to do. I just left then I called customer service and they were great and everything was fine. The rude treatment was completely unacceptable and undeserved. read more

This is one of my favorite Lululemon locations in the area. It is well organized and there is a lot of selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful if you need assistance with anything. I was looking for a lounging pant with a comfortable waistband the other day as I own too many Luxtreme pants for running. I'm probably way more excited than I should be, but Old Town finally got a lululemon! As an avid lululemon shopper, it's great to have a store in the neighborhood. It just opened on the corner of King and Washington where Cosi used to be. This location is open and airy, shiny and new. The hubs always gets dragged to the lululemon on Bethesda Row with me, and remarked that this location has a much better flow. It was well stocked, and it should be since it's brand new! Unfortunatley, in typical lululemon fashion they didn't have larger sizes in stock. I overheard a customer inquiring about a size 12 or 14 in a jacket, and they were" out of stock." It's day 2 of you being open. you sure you didn't mean you just didn't order it?? I'm curious to see how well stocked this location will be. All in all, it's a lululemon! read more

Disappointing experience. I went to the store because I have a few yogi friends who speak well of the people who work there and had questions about properly caring for my yoga mat, which a bought there the previous year. My mat hasn't held up well and I was concerned I had damaged the mat by improperly caring for it. The first woman I spoke with was very nice, but was not sure about my question so she grabbed another associate who she felt knew more than her. I'm fine with that and it's good customer service. However, the associate she grabbed didn't let me ask my question, but just told me about care. When I tried to explain I was asking because I thought the mat would have held up longer, she kept talking about what she does with her mat. She never mentioned anything about the life expectancy of the mat or if what I had experienced was normal. Please keep in mind, I was not looking for a free mat after a year. I had every intention of purchasing a new mat while I was there. I wanted to make sure I did things properly this time in the hopes my next mat would last longer. When I started trying to say I wanted to buy a new one, she walked off to help another customer at the register. I don't feel my question was ever heard, let alone answered. And I think we can all agree walking away form your customer mid sentance is rude at best. Extremely disappointed in their customer service and I don't plan on going back to the Alexandria, VA location. I'll purchase a new mat from another company or online. read more

First of all, I wish this had turned into a healthier food option as opposed to a giant Lululemon, especially when there's one in Clarendon. But, that dream is over ... Every time I've been in here, they have the doors wide open, and it's uncomfortably hot inside. You're trying on clothes in a sweat -- kind of gross. I gotta say... I have always been intimidated of Lululemon for several reasons. 1.) Because I am NOT a size 2 ... and 2.) Their stuff is kind of expensive for my particular budget. I received a TON of Lululemon clothing for my birthday from my sister who lives in Chicago and most of it didn't fit. It was surprisingly too big and made me look kinda frumpy. I dreaded going to my local store see if it could be exchanged. I procrastinated until I knew that if I didn't go, I would just end up donating all those clothes to Goodwill (and again... expensive). I took about $700 worth of merchandise in and was greeted by a friendly rep named Elizabeth. She knew exactly what to do. There was no question about the timing of the exchange just a "Let's find something that's right for you!" I'm telling you... she really knows her Lululemon! She was so cheerful and brought so many items for me to try. After about an hour, I had found enough replacement items to make the exchange. We went to the checkout counter and she had me exchanged within a matter of minutes. SO GREAT! Now I have a ton of Lululemon clothing that I actually like and will wear. I felt like such a rock star sporting my active wear over the weekend. Their clothing is pure quality. I am hooked! Thanks again to Elizabeth. You are a great asset to the company. read more

What a horrible experience! If I could give zero stars I would. I am a local here in the area and have always enjoyed King street. I went into Lululemon to purchase a sports jacket around the amount of $250-300 dollars. When I entered this establishment, I was not greeted. However, I did notice that when others entered after me, they were greeted with a warm welcome. Both myself and my sisters were in Lululemon for over 45 minutes debating which jacket to get or whether or not we should get anything to go with it. We are training for a half marathon in May and we couldn't believe that there was nobody willing to help us during our time there when it appeared to be a full working staff. I approached the manager there and told her that we would be writing an email to customer service. Regardless of the amount a person wants to spend, everyone should be greeted appropriately and offered assistance. I believe the working staff racially profiled both myself and my sisters. We were sure to explain this to the manager; I believe her name was Jennifer. We will be going to the Georgetown location from now on. read more

Yesterday I came in with my daughter to this location the afternoon to do a little browsing and possibly pick up a pullover for my husband. Apparently there was some Vancouver promo event happening. Usually, the sales people are friendly and helpful and walk up to greet you. But yesterday there was none of that for the duration of my stay, about 15 minutes. It looked like there were more non lululemon staff walking around so it was a little confusing. I didn't see anyone at the register either. It looked like social hour time so I wasn't even really quite sure they were conducting business. Basically we were ignored and I got the impression they didn't want to help anyone but themselves. First off, LOVE Lulu, it's really in right now and hey who doesn't want to look cute working out( or not working out ;) ) This stores location is perfect right in old town, but the employees are hit or miss. I had a exchange to make, just getting a different size from a gift I received. When I first walked in one of the girls greeted me and totally was awesome, I explained I have exchanges and she went through the store with me to help me pick! BUT the last thing I needed I guess they moved the day prior and so the nice associate asked another girl working if she knew where it was at. The girl rolled her eyes and was SO RUDE to the first associate saying ugh it's right up front pointing to the front of the store. I was throughly expecting the girl helping me to slap her right in the face ( I would have lol) but she didn't, she was such a sweetheart, blew that girls attitude right off her shoulder and went up front and got me the damn pants, and for that I applaud her. And I felt that the ongoing lack of good customer service warrants more attention. There are some ladies in particular who don't even acknowledge you even if you are right next to them. They are very unfriendly here. It really ruins my experience...so much so that I have decided to no longer visit this location. The other locations have employees that are so much friendlier and helpful. At other locations, they actually even remember you and develop a relationship with their customers. I wear lululemon every day and own 10 pair of pants and many shirts and shorts. I wear size 40 waist. This store, 15 min from where I live say they sell size 40 but They never have them and don't care to sell me the 10 pair I buy a year. So appreciated her chasing sizes for me until I found the right cut and fit, which was a new experience for me with athletic clothes. When I asked my sales person, Jennifer if she could recommend a sliming pair of yoga pants, she proceeded to give me a ten minute lecture about how their brand wasn't built on "hiding things" and that if that was my goal that I should go somewhere else.
