I went in to check out some of the Base Pace leggings and to see what the fabric feels like for the Swiftly shirts. The store was very organized and clean. Every items I wanted to try on or purchase was readily available on the racks and easy to find. The fitting rooms were also easily accessible and the clerk was friendly and really helpful. She and I agreed Wunder Train and Aligns are the best. I never knew that the lighter color Aligns feels thicker because it's actually double lined. It makes so much sense now. This helps anything from being too see thru. I also discovered that I can get my leggings hemmed here. That's useful because I'd love to have leggings that can cover my ankles for the upcoming winter but the 25s are obviously too short and the 28s are too long. But now, I can just purchase a 28" inch one and have it tailored. So good to know! And best of all, it doesn't really cost anything on our end. I love this brand of athletic wear. Their sport bras are top of the line and last a long time. Yoga sleeve shirts are great. Shorts are great. Expensive but great. However, lately. their Yoga pants are yet to be desired. They run very small. Shopping for pants are very small. For people that have larger gluteus maximus or for women with real curves and bodies this is not the place. Lululemon needs to redesign their pants and understand that not every woman is a 0, I have calves and I couldn't find a pair that would fit like a glove, they also should design pants for clientele in petite sizes, not everyone is 5'7 and over. However, the layout is nice. They follow strict social distancing. Employees are nice and helpful. Yes, this place is expensive but their clothing do last a very long time. read more

I love shopping at Lululemon for myself and my husband. My husband particularly enjoys their clothes and I stick to mostly their accessories. I needed a new work bag and already searched through the website so I knew exactly the one I wanted. Walked in on a weekday afternoon, the backpacks were right by the register. I was able to find the one I wanted pretty quickly and checked out just as fast. The cashier was amazed at my commitment but what she didn't know is if I did browse, I would spend way too much money. First and foremost I wanted to try this store athletic wear because of the great reviews and the quality is of that so I went for the first time to get a pair of leggings and I really like it , ultra comfortable . So next time I go in I decide I'm buying some more items ... instantly harassed ... like I was picking out shorts and one lady comes to me and ask if she can help find my size and I'm like I'm good ..at this point I have two pairs of shorts in my hand and I'm getting some more items , next harasser comes to me as I'm trying to leave and I'm thinking she's a curious customer but starts talking about the name of the items and I think it's odd because I don't know the names and she kept going on like "I wonder will this bra go well with those leggings , I can't find those" mind you she worked there!!! I successfully avoided Lululemon for a few years. When I moved to San Francisco, I started wondering why everyone was wearing clothing with a sperm/tapeworm logo. So I found out this was the lululemon brand, and when I found out how much the clothing was, I understood why the trophy wives in the Marina were decked out in them all the time. I vowed to not spend that much on work out clothes. Fast forward a few years to me at a gym trying to do a yoga inversion in my underarmour top and all of a sudden I became that drunk girl at the frat party. Upside down, with my shirt over my head, unable to see. Did I mention my coworkers were in this class? I wanted a tank top that was breathable, comfortable, body hugging and had a long length so I would not be adjusting it all the time. So I gave in and went to the Lululemon store in Bethesda. The helpful staff suggested some tank tops, and I ended up with a couple of cool racerback tanks that have held up pretty well. The saleslady made it clear that the sizing is Canadian, so I was aboot to get my dress size but got one size up, eh. They also have a wall o' yoga pants. All the pants are available in regular or tall sizes. But don't be disheartened if you're a midget like me. They offer free alterations for this reason. The fun part is the check out. The sales staff will remind you that underwear is not returnable (should that be one of your purchases). I kind of assumed this already and told them so, and the salesperson said "oh you would be surprised". First of all, why would you return something that you had your junk all over, seriously people? This actually happens? So the moral of the story is sometimes you pay for quality, and sometimes your coworkers don't really need to see your jog bra. read more

I've recently spent a lot of money on lululemon hoodies and dance pants. I usually purchase online or at the Annapolis store location, but we were in Bethesda and thought why not check it out. I wanted to look at some leggings and some of the new items they have been advertising on their website. We were not greeted and were completely ignored even as other customers were helped. Is the staff racist towards Asians or did I just not look the part? Either way, I will not be visiting this store again. Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything. Staff are in serious need of customer service training. If you are a woman of color, stay away from this store -- they're not friendly or welcoming to minorities. Ignored totally, not even greeted when entering the store. Came specifically to purchase the reversible 5mm yoga mat @ $68 which is no biggie! Rudeness and ignorance don't make for good customer service! Scathing message on their page, Yelp, Twitter and Instagram. Hopefully this was an isolated incident. Nonetheless never, ever again. This store was clean and well-organized, but I definitely did not appreciate how I was treated while in this store. I never want to accuse anyone of being prejudiced, however my treatment vs. how all the other women in the store were treated was obvious. When I asked for a dressing room, I was met with "sure, name and how many?" When another woman asked, the same employee's response was "of course!! How are you? Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!" It was clear that they felt like they were too elite for me. I interacted with two employees and both of them refused to make eye contact with me and were very short with me, yet they loved to keep an eye on me while I was walking around the store. I now have one piece Lulu gear. It's a dry-fit type t-shirt. Crumbs. So, not only does it look and feel great, but it works more effectively than any active wear item I own. That's saying something. I find that normal dry-fit type sports clothing stinks after even twenty minutes of use. My friend had said that Lulu's products don't seem to do that. He was right. I tested it out by going to run club with it and then the following day going to a bootcamp workout................... it still didn't stink. Mind you it didn't quite smell like roses after four hours of use, it was far superior to anything I had previously used. Also, I wanted to mention that I feel like such a big part of the Lululemon community having gone to their events for three years (primarily run club). Everyone that works there seems so positive, energetic, and always welcomed me despite not having any Lulu gear until now. While the products aren't inexpensive, their quality is top notch. I love Lulu clothes. I have been a customer for over five years. I wear lulu to work, I wear it out and I wear it while working out, I mean that's really about all I wear. The clothes are so comfortable, functional and have style. Additionally, the clothes are very durable and last for a really long time. Some of the articles I've had for five years. This store in particular has very friendly staff who are very helpful and personable. Many of the staff recognize me as a returning customer and they know the sort of items I like to buy. Park in the parking garage. It's free on the weekends. Street parking is hard to find. Must return or exchange merchandise within 14 days. Great service and the best work out clothes. I feel comfortable in my pants and do not have to worry about my pants possibly being see-thru. It feels good when you wear it and the material is amazing. They offer free alterations. Make sure you do not dry your clothes with dryer sheets. I always use dryer sheets but did not know that I wasn't suppose to dry these with dryer sheets until recently. The lady never told me when I got my first pair (which is still in good condition and more than 3 years old). read more

I loved this Lululemon. I came on the way to a yoga class, so I wanted to try on a bunch of things (before I was sweaty) and knew I'd have to come back to buy the items I selected since I wasn't going to have enough time. I tried a lot of different cute tops and sports bras, and their staff were really helpful in helping me find a few cute ones. I also really wanted to find a sports bra like my favorite one I got there a year+ ago (that I happened to be wearing that day) and their salesgirl helped me find a few that were really similar to it. It was really nice, because I struggle to find bras that fit me and are comfortable. Also, one of the white bras they brought me had red lipstick on it, so I asked if they had a clean one, and thankfully they did. It did make me wonder if they inspect their items before putting them back on the racks. Only reason I docked a star was that even though I left my things and said I was coming back in an hour, by the time I got back, they had already put my things back. The same salesgirl was there from before, so she helped me find my things again, but it was kind of annoying to have to remember what sizes I had ultimately picked. Final Verdict: Good location, great service and lots of cute items. Unfortunately, for my wallet, I'll be dropping a lot of $$ here :( read more

i came here to join their run club while visiting my folks in maryland and i was happy to see that a few other friendly faces showed just a couple days before christmas on a wet and rainy evening. at least the temps were in the 60s! the group meets every wed @ 6.30pm and runs anywhere from 3-5 miles, with varying routes throughout bethesda and chevy chase. i had a good 5 mile run that evening, and patted myself on the back for making it thru the tough hills with the wind and rain and plenty of puddles along the course. afterwards, we regrouped at the store, stretched and chatted over some refreshments. i ended up sticking around a bit longer to shop at the store since they were open an extra hour later during the week of christmas. with all lululemon stores, they have all of the usual men's & women's workout gear, and sections for running, yoga, and dance. i did notice that some of the colours and selections were a bit different from my home store in northern california, which is nice to see. the store educators were super friendly and answered any questions that i had. great location in downtown bethesda along bethesda row, near the bethesda metro station. you can park right outside the store in the 1 hour metered parking spaces, or in one of the many parking structures near bethesda row. read more

I am a yogini-wanna be and Lululemon is like the one-stop-shop for all that is yoga and much more! I recently was in El Segundo, CA and stopped into the Lululemon shop there and was compelled to purchase $100 yoga pants. (I KNOW it was a splurge.) They have a great sales staff and the atmosphere in the stores is so calming that feel that it would of been to walk out without a new pair of "groove" style pants, that by the way made my rear look fabulous. Who knew spandex could be so versatile. So when I asked the salesperson if there were any in the DC area she told me they were opening one in Bethesda. I was very excited because it seemed that LA always had all the good stuff (i.e. Pinkberry). I visited the Bethesda location this weekend and it was equally friendly and inspiring. They provide information on local yoga studios and hold free yoga classes at the store on Sundays taught by a local yogi/yogini. It's great how they are working with the local community. I purchased a earth-friendly yoga mat for the cost of a little over a full tank of gas so I guess I am doing my part one way or another. I would say it's worth it if you want to pamper yourself but not for the bargain hunter. They have really cute stuff and the sports bras fit like a glove because they come in actual bra sizes. Personally, I don't mind paying extra but may be too spendy for most people. read more

Obsessed doesn't even come close to describe my passion for Lulu. Besides the headband and boy short undies I acquired years and years ago in Toronto, before most of the US had even heard about Lululemon, I only recently reacquainted myself with this brand over the summer. I have no idea what took me so long! In less than 6 months, I have acquired a fantastic new wardrobe of yoga crops & tanks, and many more cute jackets, groove pants and hoodies. Just when I think I could not possibly need anything else, I spy something I do not have. At least not in THAT color. I'm afraid to join the running club that takes off on Wednesdays at 6:30 because my bi-weekly browsing turned into an almost definite purchase will now become a weekly expenditure that will supersede my grocery bills! So when my husband looks at the year end statements of my 401K, savings accounts and W-2 and would like to know where I invested my income this year, I can proudly show him my closet. Let me start this review with that I wear Lululemon regularly and have for years. I've been to this location MULTIPLE TIMES. Today was the worst interaction I've ever had! I CAME I. PLANNING TO BUY MULTIPLE PAIRS OF ALIGN LEGGINGS. I was never greeted after looking through their legging selection for 10-15 min one of the sales girls finally asked if I was finding everything ok? I said yes I just needed to pick a pattern then try them on. I came to the dressing room with my leggings in hand the one sales girl was there with no one & didn't say a word to me I stood waiting to be assisted to the waiting room nothing.... she then helped someone else who came after me. Then another associate came to the dressing room and didn't say a word to me I waited still a man came out of the fitting room she started to help him I then put he leggings away and walked out. I actually like Lululemon clothes but I do not care for this location. I am not too excited when I am in a store and no one greets me (Hello, Good Morning, something). Today at the Bethesda location, I browsed at a random assortment of clothing and again, no acknowledgement of my presence. I was standing fairly close to two young associates, near the back (approximately 10-15ft away) and again no acknowledgement of my presence. Wednesday Run Club @ 6:30pm is awesome. Eric and Michelle organize a great group, with all paces. As for the clothing, well, it's worth the money. I've never had a workout shirt I didn't have to wash after each use, but the silver-fibre just doesn't smell after I've sweat in it. Hang it up overnight, and it's good to go for another use. The running shorts are quite useful, with the zipper-up pockets and long undies built in. Running gloves are warm and great, with the flip-overs for your thumbs so that you can use a touch-screen phone or MP3 without taking the gloves off. Much nicer stuff than Under Armour or Nike. Highly recommended. read more

Well, now that I've read the reviews and learned lululemon is CANADIAN I have half a mind to return my purchases. Damn foreigners, stealing manufacturing jobs from hard working Americans! No seriously, go here. I always assumed lululemon was full of skinny bitches that would point and laugh at me so I never entered. I was wrong to assume. Everyone was so friendly and genuine, especially Alena who rang me up. She made sure to ask if I had tried everything on since it was final sale and she told me all about their Wednesday night run club. Super sweet and encouraging. Oh yeah, the prices. I had a conniption when I picked up a pair of cropped running shorts and saw they were $98. Que lo que?!?! Then I discovered the sale rack. I picked up shorts for $45 and a cool striped sports bra for $19, yes $19! A good sale purchase makes me feel so accomplished. read more

This Lulu location is convenient- right next to Bethesda Row and a county parking garage. This store carries clothes for men and women, as well as accessories such as yoga mats, workout towels, and gym bags. Everyone at this location is friendly and helpful, and the apparel is organized well. While expensive, the clothes are gorgeous and last forever, but I wish they carried plus-size clothes! I am also a huge fan of their accessories- their small workout towels, while expensive ($18), absorb an amazing amount of water and will keep your sweat under control while working out! read more

If you shop @ this location, ask for Alena - this girl knows her Lululemon. She is incredibly friendly, compassionate, sincere, and helpful - she makes you feel like a friend vs. just another customer. Great store, great products. Definitely on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. The quality of their merchandise sets them apart from most other athletic brands, IMO. The only downside to this location is that parking stinks (and getting up/down Wisconsin Ave. is a nightmare). I try to get there when they open to avoid some of the congestion. read more

I was looking for yoga pants to replace the ones I had forever. There were so many stores to choose from in Bethesda I ended up at lululemon the energetic staff was friendly and helpful. They helped find the pair that I wanted I tried them on so surprisingly comfortable and had a great stretch and tjhey even took in the hem for free. The staff also introduced to me a pair of new tapered legs pants that was more multipurpose but had stretch material at the right places. I haven't wore my new yoga pants and I heard about the material issue they had. I hope my pair were not see-through since they were almost $100 a pair. read more

I was extremely unhappy with a running tank I bought not too long ago. It was hot pink and the dye just bled all over my other clothes and even on to my towels when I worked out! I stopped wearing the tank but heard that if you are unhappy with a Lululemon product or if there is a defect, you can bring it in and they will exchange it for you. No hassle. I did just that and brought my hot pink running tank in to Lululemon Bethesda. The sales associates were extremely sweet and helpful! They let me choose a similar tank in a different color and I walked out an extremely happy Lululemon customer. Love it! read more

My four stars are sincerely meant: I had wandered into a Lulu in my old neighborhood in SoCal and had really appreciated the staff's attitude, the atmosphere, and the fact that I could get eco-conscious clothing here and there. So, having moved to the area, tried Bethesda's...and was equally impressed. Loved the helpfulness and cheery attitude of the staff, found cute clothing, and I even went to a complimentary yoga offering on one of the Sundays. I am a complete beginner when it comes to yoga. There were folks who knew what they were doing and folks who didn't...but were gently guided. Bought a top for a circus class (had to travel out-of-state for that one) that made sure everything stayed where it was supposed to without clinging too tightly...and looked cool with pin-stripes. And my last comment: I was reading about the owner and his opinions on active-wear trends and working out and goal-making...and while they didn't necessarily match mine, they were so CLOSE, it totally surprised me. The cloths that I get at Lululemon are great. I got a T-shirt a while ago, and after more than a year of wearing and washing it at least once /week it still looks great and it kept it's shape. The same goes for their pants, they seem to be pretty much indestructible. The prices are the higher end, but considering their durability, Lululemon's products seem to be a good buy (at least if one intends t wear their gear for more than one season....). The staff is always friendly and helpful, and oddly, some seem to recognize me although I come here maybe twice a year. read more

My husband bought me something here, which was the wrong size. I was going to return it, but the store was closed (because of the horrific murder that happened in the store). During the time the store was closed, I wasn't able to return it. But when it reopened, they said the grace period for returns had expired and they refused to refund or accept an exchange, even. You would think they would be slightly more understanding, given the extraordinary circumstance....but profit uber alles is apparently what Lululemon is all about. read more

There are a lot of reasons to hate Lululemon. I tend to ignore them. The clothes are really comfortable. And any athletic gear that makes me look less-than-horrid, I'll forever be appreciative of. This branch's selection is about on par with the one in Rosslyn. Nice staff to boot. read more
