I am glad there is a lululemon here in the city with the best customer service. I was able to order an item from another store and ship it to this store. Jasper helped by gathering all my info and notified my item has arrived. I have not tried the hemming services yet but plan to soon. I can easily try on all the clothes here. We went to this location to see if we could find some shorts. May sound odd -shorts in Chicago in November but we needed it for Fla.! They didn't have any so we tried on some shirts and ended up with a key chain! Don't ask me. Nothing really fit the way we wanted it to so we figured we could wait. I always like looking around to see what they have. Maybe they'll get a real pickleball line of clothes soon! That would be nice. Yes I am writing a review for a major retailer, but, the staff deserves it! No matter what time of day or year I pop into this store, the staff is always helpful and somehow still smiling (even through their masks). My recent experience was by far the best. I believe it was Kaitlin or Katherine (so sorry for forgetting your name!) - working on Saturday 12/12 around 1 or 2pm - I cannot thank her enough! She made my boyfriend comfortable explaining the different style of ABC pants, widths, lengths, free hemming, & so on. She never made us feel pressured to buy anything and when we realized Lulu is not quite his size or fit, SHE APOLOGIZED! I mean c'mon, talk about kindness. Long story short - even though we didn't make a purchase, she did not seem frustrated or annoyed one bit after being so helpful and us having used a bit of her time. My cousin also made his first ever purchase at this location in August 2019 and now it's all he'll ever wear. Yes the prices are high, and typically, I make most, if not all, of my purchase online. However, I have to stop in here more often. When browsing a bit, I never realized what a selection they have in a smaller store than usual AND a wide variety of clothing on sale! Score! They had pants for $50 - that seemed like outlet prices, in my opinion. Not cheap, but just much more less expensive than their usual price point. read more

I'm pretty much Lulu obsessed! I haven't visited a Lululemon in months in fear of leaving with several pairs of $90 pants. Although I do have to admit that I wear my $90 lululemon pants way more than anything else in my closet... I think the Lululemon on Damen is the first location I've visited and left without hearing the cha-ching of the cash register. I was on a mission to buy a few of their super cute skirts (love them with the little shorts inside!) and running shorts to get me thru my hot summer workouts. While several skirts and shorts caught my eye they didn't have anything cute in my size. Basically if you're one of their more popular sizes (4,6, or 8) you're out of luck here...at least that's what one of the salesgirls told me. Me thinks Lulu would stock up on their popular sizes. hmmm... The 2 salesgirls here were fine...not nearly as friendly as the people who work in the Halsted and 900 N Michigan stores. I ordered specific legging online and when I received it, it was damaged so I had to return it. I visited the Northbrook location and they had a size 4 of the same leggings but the employee that helped me wasn't very helpful so I wasn't aware this location had a size 2 that fit me better. After seeing this online I came to this location to try and exchange the leggings. (They were on sale). When I tried to explain this to the cashier she said " don't make it a habit"... It's not like I was just exchanging something, I actually bought more items. This was also my first time ever trying to exchange something. She said that the newest mat available was the Namaste. I also asked her about the running shoes and she was nice enough to explain about them as well. Got the mat and saw other things I will come back for. Overall it was a nice friendly experience. About the location, it is well located, street parking. clean store, plenty of things for women and some for men. They offer plenty of items for both, for running, swimming, cycling as well as exercising. And I know that this particular store holds complimentary yoga class at the park during the summer at Wicker Park, so that's a plus for me. Will come back. read more

Just avoid this Lululemon if you can. Went in to simply buy a Fanny pack and hair clips. I was attempting to use my first responder discount for both items when the cashier refused to honor the discount only because it was mentioned that the clips would be for my wife, instead of myself... The cashier eventually provided the discount but threaten to flag my first responder discount for "miss usage" of my account. I would like to say my experience at this location was great but it wasn't. I called a day prior to see what they can offer for a snag in the but of my lulu lemons I got in October. She looked at me like a was an idiot and asked me "what would you like me to do" I said send for repairs or replace and she flat out said no. I really wish this place wasn't so pricey - because I really love their clothes, but I can't bring myself to buy the entire wardrobe that I want from there. I have a few running skirts and some tops - and they are all functional and fit well. They also wash well as I abuse my clothes in the washing machine. So I went to lululemon today and they are offering discounts tessential workers which includes all supporting healthcare staff. I'm a dietitian who works at a dialysis center. After I showed the cashier my proof of healthcare worker, she said "well, you're JUST a dietitian." And I showed her the posting that says all supporting healthcare workers can get the discount. And I told her I was very offended by her saying that I'm JUST a dietitian. My clinic have been treating covid+ patients since the beginning of the pandemic and I have been there supporting our team everyday. She said I apologize for my verbage, but, you know, you're not like an ER doctor... she said she will have to make a few phone calls to see if she can give me the discount. At the end I didnt even want to purchase at their store anymore so I just left. Lululemon, if you guys don't truly appreciate essential workers, please don't be a phony to offer such discount. I have to say I love lululemon. I enjoy their community engagement, friendly staff, and they have an amazing product. I've ran with their run club before and think all their run clubs are amazing. On my last run at the Damen location I became good friends with one of the runners. When we returned the staff was super friendly. The same friend invited me to meet at the run club. We both ran late so I didn't change in my car like I usually do. I made it to the store to find out that run club is over. I asked to change and use their washroom. I found out that restrooms are only for customer and not the public. I asked another person and was told that there are other restrooms on the block like David's Tea but offered a changing room. I changed in the changing room. I was sad and embarrassed that I bothered a couple of the employees. I spoke my friend and told him what happened and that I'd wait for him outside. When I left the changing room the sales person was nice enough to offer let me use their washroom and locker, but I felt bad so I declined. I did point to the sign that said running club was still going on and exited. I dropped my stuff off at my car and ran back to David's Tea to explain what happened. They were surprised and nice enough to let me use their washroom. Then waited outside for my friend. I still think lululemon and it's staff on Damen are amazing. I respect their washroom policy and they were even nice enough to offer it afterwards. Employees are busy and I was in their way. I realize that it was a miscommunication that made me think there was still an active run club. Still, it was a bad experience. read more

Granted very expensive, a minimum of $150 for one workout outfit, it's worth it because it's like a real life body filter. It sucks, lifts, and slims. Customer service here is great. Everyone is so pleasant and helpful. Customer service in general at Lululemon is second to none. I often troll the website for reviews before committing to a purchase and any and every complaint is met with a refund or exchange of some sort. The store is always clean and organized. My only complaint would be that their sale selection is quite small and not localized. And if you don't know already, Lululemon offers to hem your pants free. FREE! After dragging my feet for a really long time, I took in some of my pants, didn't want to take them all in at once...because how will I work out? So I took in 5. That's right, 5. They estimated 2-3 days but had it ready the next day. Crazy! You truly get what you pay for! read more

I have to say that I have always been a huge fan of Lululemon, so when I needed a new sports bra on short notice for a 5K this weekend, I dragged my best friend across town to track down a Ta Ta Tamer. Big mistake. No one offered me assistance, no one asked me what I was looking for, no one seemed interested in helping me find the perfect pieces for race day. Once in the dressing room, I asked for a larger size. The saleswoman scoffed at me. Like what, a 38D can't be a runner? I run. I cycle. I dance. Just because I'm not tiny doesn't mean I'm not interested in spending money in your store. I enjoy feeling cute when I work out too. I felt incredibly judged at a place that espouses the values of commitment and beauty and being the best you can be. Unfortunate. I'm hard enough on myself without a stranger in a yoga pant store making me feel unpretty and insignificant. The next girl who walked in the fitting room while I was in there was a size 4. People were all over everything she needed. No one ever checked on me again. Or asked if I found everything I needed. Or anything at all, actually. The lack of respect to me (I fit just fine into the things Lulu carries) and my body and my hard work to maintain a healthy lifestyle was incredibly off putting. I wear Lululemon, like, six days a week, eight hours a day. (Strangely, I have a closet full of party dresses because, somehow, part of my brain thinks that I need more party dresses in which to be a full-time pilates instructor.) Why are their clothes a step up from other workout gear? 1 - Fit. Their clothes fit well and are extremely flattering. Their signature fabric is a triple spandex that holds everything in and offers smooth lines. 2 - Comfort. I can stand, sit, and demonstrate movements in their clothes all day. They stay put, don't need to be pulled or tugged into (or out of) place, have chafe-free flat seams, and they don't leave elastic marks all over my body. (That last one's great for me when I come home from work and want to change right into a party dress.) 3 - Durability. I am a pretty bad laundry-doer. Here's my basic routine: take all my Lululemon clothes from the week, dump them into the washing machine on cold/normal, and then hang them all over the apartment to dry. If I'm having a really good day, I'll wear a party dress while doing this. (Come on over to my palace of wet workout clothes! I have cake!) If you're a casual worker-outer, or you do really high intensity stuff, I can see how this might not be the line for you. (I haven't ever bought any of their running gear, as I run in grody Target shorts and a Cat Power t-shirt from 1998, and I have one solitary Lululemon top and another pair of grody Target shorts that I've reserved for ultra-sweaty Bikram classes.) For someone like me, who legitimately needs comfortable workout clothes that perform day after day after day and look cute on, I'd be hard-pressed to find a better line than Lululemon. read more

I'm a big fan of the sportswear line, but, guess what...we don't have a store in the Minne-apple. big shocker. there are places that carry the line, but it's just not the same. I don't want to have to rely on a buyer to decide what products I'm going to be exposed to. But i digress.... High quality, fashionable workout/yoga clothes that allow you to leave the gym or studio without screaming "I'm a sweaty pig wearing my bf's old T and Umbros from high school" (Yes, that could be a cool look, but it totally says, I've just worked out and I may smell) Lululemon's clothing takes you from workout to where ever, shopping, errands, or lounging and you look like you put a little thought in your day. On top of that, they are soooo comfortable you may forget you just engaged in a strenuous activity. Oh, and here's a little insider gossip from the employee there: they are going to be opening a "showroom" in MSP sometime this year, and if that goes well, they will open a store. keeping my fingers crossed! read more

Holy crap this stuff is expensive. To be fair, I feel like a gorgeous workout goddess when I wear this stuff. I strut when I walk through the gym, and there's a little extra bounce in my run. Beautiful colors and styles, and I love their sports bras (the "ta ta tamer" is my favorite). All of their tops, bras, and pants/shorts have thorough descriptions of what body type and exercise form they are best suited for. Everything here runs small, and I always buy a size up in exercise clothes anyway - I'm normally a 0 and I'm pretty much a 6 here. Don't even bother trying anything on in your "real" size because you will probably choke from how tight it is. The bill was so much it was ridiculous - I'd never buy much here myself but it was a very generous gift from my mom! One top will run you like $75, one pair of yoga pants I got was $90! But they are so gorgeous! I could see myself buying a few more lovely treats here, but only a little bit at at time - too much wallet pain to gets lots at once. read more

I always thought this place was pricey, but look for the sales and you can find some good deals. Since I've been going to bikram yoga I've been in need of more clothes because I sweat through them each time. I like the store set-up and they have personalized fitting rooms with your name written in dry erase. The fitting room I was in also had a 180 degree mirror with another one behind you so you can get a pretty good view of how you are looking in these workout clothes. The sales girl was pretty helpful and I'll be on the lookout for future sales. read more

I am obsessed with lululemon. I love basically all of their stuff. I primarily go for yoga pants, capris and most of all the racerback tanks. They are great for yoga and also for running. Yes their stuff is expensive but it's totally worth it. It's the only stuff I'll wear now. The staff is SO friendly and very helpful. The store is dog friendly, which is the way to my heart. I always want to support businesses that allow my 2 adorable bulldogs. Not only am I able to take my pups in, but the staff always fusses over them, which they love. This is hands down one of my favorite stores. My only complaint is that I can't afford to buy everything in the store and build my entire wardrobe out of lululemon gear. read more

I heart you Lululemon. There are 2 different Lulu stores I frequent and this review will be used for both the Naperville store and the Bucktown store. They remember my name when I walk in! The staff show me new styles they think I'll like and they know my favorite color is purple. Now that's customer service! Expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? Most definitely yes. I recently had the thread unravel on my Inspires running pants. These running crops are $86 and I bought them a year ago. I was given 2 different options. 1. They could send them out to their seamstress (free of charge) which would take 2-3 days. Or 2. Just exchange them that day for a different pair of crops. WOW. I chose to grab a pair of Inspires in a different color and I was out of the store in less than 5 min. From the free yoga or boot camp classes to mid week fun runs. I love lululemon. I mainly come in for the free yoga classes on sunday. They are great for all levels (mostly for beginners) and there is no obligation to buy anything at all. Alot of times you walk out with freebies, whether its a coupon for a free class at the studio sponsoring the class, or a granola bar! the time is perfect too - 10-11 on sunday mornings. The instructor is usually different each week, which gives you the opportunity to try different practices and instructor styles. They also have clothes here. Although the clothes are pretty expensive - I will tell you - you get what you pay for. If you have think spending $90 on a pair of yoga pants is expensive - you are probably right - but if you do yoga alot - wait until they go on sale, and get yourself a pair. You wont regret it. I have only one pair, that i did get on sale, and I have had for about three years now. The people who work there are really helpful - and their clothes, although expensive, are great! read more

Yeah, it's expensive, but it's worth it. I have other running clothes, but my favorite pieces, the items I always grab out of my closet and am sad when they are dirty, are from lululemon. They just fit so well, they keep their shape, they're *comfortable* (sooooo important, especially in a sports bra!), they look good, and they keep you at the right temp and dry. The pants run really long, which I don't love, but they take care of that by offering free hemming. Yeah, FREE. And you can get it any time. So if you shrink for some reason, you can bring them back next year and still get them hemmed for free. The staff is really helpful. I am always given a friendly greeting the moment I walk in the door, and when I have a question or concern, they have the answer. Plus, when you come out of the dressing room, they give you honest feedback. You know that when they tell you that you look good, they actually mean it because they are willing to tell you when maybe you don't look quite so good. The store is always clean and well organized. It's a little smaller than some of their other stores I've been to, so the sizes can get picked over pretty quickly. Last time I was in, they didn't have any size 8 available in anything I looked at. So cute! They have really great quality workout gear that comes in great colors! I know when I workout I want to feel good doing so and quality workout wear really does make a difference. So does color, it gives me a boost! Don't worry I am not one of those makeup-wearing workout gals, (this really never makes sense to me! Give your skin a break!) But anyway they have really great workout gear, pants, tanks, cute jackets as well. If you even a couple of those out with the 98$ pants it's like only double what I paid for the garbage I've been shooting from Target. 24 hours later I was back smacking my arm for a Scuba Hoodie. With thumbholes and an amazing cut that makes my waist look like Dolly Partons. Oh money may not buy happiness but it bought me some serious hotness in this hoodie. read more

I think the colors and designs are generally cute. The tags on the clothes are particularly helpful in showing why items were designed a certain way or using a certain fabric/material. They do have decent sales sometimes, but you have to dig. The sports bras, for instance, go on sales where certain colors of certain styles are on sale, so you may finally find your size only to realise that it's somehow still full price. read more

Lululemon makes high quality, but pricey yoga and workout clothes. I like this store because they almost always have sale racks, called "We Made Too Much." If you can find something in your size on these racks that you like, you should snag it right away because it probably won't be there the next day. I've gotten sports bras for $19, running shorts for $24, and a forme jacket for $44. The salespeople are very friendly and helpful, and there are many fitting rooms that are spacious and clean. Also, they hem pants for free! Some other nice things about this store- dogs are welcome, there's water to drink, and there's comfy seating at the front if you're with someone who doesn't like to bronze. The shopping bags are always cute and are great to reuse! They fit folders and iPads perfectly. Even if you don't workout, you should check this store for comfy clothes to lounge around in! read more

I love Lululemon and I won't lie that I am an addict. I give this 5 stars because the product is wonderful, the sales ladies are super friendly, and the free alterations are prompt and well-done. Its like heroin....do it once and you'll never turn back. As a male, I sometimes feel a little bit awkward going in here as I know it's target audience is women who are into yoga. But after knowing this place is dog friendly, my bully can't get enough of this place so I'm forced to go in here for their treats laced with crack. I don't always buy something, but more often than not, there is always something new to catch my eye. I'm partial to the men's underwear as they don't ride up during my long work days, but don't dry them or they will shrink. I also love the feel and fit of their workout shorts and shirts and I am slowly building up my wardrobe full of lulu stuff and phasing out my shitty college t-shirts. While I acknowledge their gear isn't the cheapest, sometimes you get what you pay for. But hey, they do offer free yoga classes on Sunday. I've avoided this store because it is WAY out of my price range. I usually buy work out pants from backcountry.com or altrec.com. They never fit properly because I can't try them on....the downside to online shopping. Well, my grandma gave my a gift card for Christmas so when my husband suggested we go I agreed. The ladies that work here couldn't have been more helpful. The pant sizes run sort of small. I wear a 2 or 4 regular, but here I'm a 6 regular. Also, if you go up a size in pants then the leg of the pant gets longer which is odd to me and why they offer COMPLIMENTARY hemming. I'm pleased with the 2 pair of pants I bought and will probably return in the spring. They do have a sale rack, it''s small, but you can get stuff discounted. read more

I bought the awesomest cropped workout pants today! Yes, I wrote awesomest. Lululemon has reduced me to writing like a pimply tween squeeing over Twilight. Not only are they super duper cute, they were on sale for $40 (half off). This brand is expensive. However, I work out so much (5-6 days a week) that buying nice workout gear is totally worth it. Everything is comfortable, looks flattering, and fits well. I was sad that they didn't have more of those pants in my size in other colors. I bought them in black but would have loved to get it in white too. I might have to hit the other locations. Buyer beware-- try everything on, because sizes run small.
