I bought three pairs of pants at lululemon They were $148 each. I had them altered and when I came to Pick them up, the three pairs were rolled up scrunched into a small bag making them wrinkled, and looking like they were found in the bottom of the laundry hamper. There were loose threads hanging out and balls of thread in the bag. It look like a drunk seamstress did the alterations. When I asked the manager whether this is the.normal procedure for new altered clothing she said no one has ever complained before. I wasn't expecting it to be pressed on a hanger but they looked like someone was shoplifting three pairs of pants and shoved them into a small bag before running out the door. These are brand new, wrinkle, free pants when I purchased them and when returned to me looked like they were found on the street. Lululemon could do better. So disappointed. read more

No communication from the store regarding the item. telephoned the store - they refuse to answer the phone so you have to leave a message which they don't respond to. telephoned the 877 customer service number to inquire only to be hung up on. called back and filed a complaint and was told "someone might get back to you within 3 days." ummm nope. went into the store this morning and the cashier stated that for refunds the store manger had to approve it. the store manger came over, I explained the poor customer service. she became defensive and argumentative. I requested a refund. she refused. I requested a refund for the second time, again she refused. I proceeded to call the 877 number and I informed her that I would file a fraud claim with my credit card. finally she issued the refund. I asked for her name so that I could file a complaint, she refused. If you want to be discriminated against. If you want to be treated with disrespect. I had a great experience today returning items. I was dealing with having lost my receipt, plus I had cut the price tag and ripped the size tag one of my items (I got a little too confident that the pieces were going to work out and hadn't tried them on in-store). The kind lady who helped me took both pieces back with no questions asked. The whole transaction took less than a minute. Definitely will be back! read more

Not typically where I get me workout wear. I was on the Nike list for years and was bound by agreement to endorse the product. That's over. I rediscovered the men's collection by lululemon. It's definitely high-end, however the pants include complimentary hemming. They don't do the bottoms with zippers or certain elastic. Wait times are 3 days or less. You can even buy online and get the alterations! The quality and finish on the material is excellent. Maybe giving up denim for lululemon gear for 2020! read more

For customer service. Every time I come in the store, which is rare, the team at the Lululemon Corte Madera location is great. Always super helpful and willing to assist when you ask for assistance. Separately I had a one-off experience that I wanted to share because it was top-notch. This level of customer customization is seemingly more critical than before 2020 given the impact on a brand IMO. I called this store at 5:15 pm not too long ago, I was trying to make a 4:45 class at F45, which is located just down from Lulu. I forgot my pants at home and needed a new pair of leggings anyway. Call the store, and a nice female picks up (I wish I could remember her name), I ask for a tall favor; explain the situation and if she has time to pull me a pair of pants and I'll run in pay for them, change and run out so I can make my class. All to say, she made it happen and it was def an interaction and experience I will remember, with Lululemon for....ever. :) read more

Posting this a bit late but needed to give a shout out to Ruby and Deirdra! I started a new job that requires a lot of travel and needed a new travel bag for my computer, notebooks, etc, etc that needs to go everywhere with me. I had an old Lululemon bag that I've been holding onto for years that is FANTASTIC, but had a broken zipper. Had plenty of people say tell Lulu and they'll replace it, but was a no go when it broke. Went Had a couple of items that had issues (broken zipper, tiny holes in weird places) that I had friends and family say tell Lululemon and they'll replace it, but was always a no go, which everyone I told (who shops at Lululemon) were always very surprised about. So on a whim I brought the bag I had with the broken zipper into the Corte Madera store to see if they could just replace the zipper (since they already do alterations) and ended up talking with Ruby. She left to ask someone (since she's a new salesperson, which I didn't know at the time) and she came back with "unfortunately they said we can't". Told her I wasn't surprised and told her about my experiences asking about some of the issues I've had with items over the years (3 or 4 times over the past 15-20 years) and never being able to get any help or replacements for anything. She said hold on, and left to speak with her manager (Deirdra). When she came back she said they couldn't fix or exchange my bag since they no longer had it in stock, but they'd be happy to replace it with a different bag, free of charge. She also said Deirdra said to bring in the other items I had that have issues and that they'd address them. I was kinda floored because I've always gotten a "sorry, we can't help you" response, so I didn't expect anything, but was very touched by them both going out of their way to help me, and they were both so extremely (and genuinely) sweet about everything... They both said they hated to hear I had bad experiences and wanted to fix that! Honestly, just them trying to help was enough, but they both went the extra mile (Ruby being brand new was extra impressive), and I'll be coming back to this location (which is WAY out of my way) because of that! I've always disliked this Lululemon location but I've never met someone in there who wasn't rude and snooty. They actually think they're better than everyone else... Today we went to Lululemon to look for some Xmas gifts. We waited in line for 10 minutes because of COVID and they only allow a certain amount inside at once. The lady was nice and said to us directly "We apologize for the wait. We can only allow 15 people in at a time. once you go inside though, you can take your time." So when we go inside, we look for sweaters for my bf's mom and we couldn't find anything so I decided to choose a Fanny pack. I wanted their basic one but couldn't find it so a lady helped and said they were in the back so she went to go look. As my bf and I were waiting, another employee went up to my bf and said "are you just standing around?" And he said "yeah we're waiting for something." And she goes "well if you are just standing here and not buying anything, you need to step out. We're at full capacity." We didn't want to make a scene and get on the employees level. So he just walked out and I asked the lady who rang me up why the other employee kicked him out and all she said was "I don't know" with attitude and then had the audacity to laugh out loud with this other guy." First of all, that was so rude to assume he isn't buying anything when we were about to. And second, we waited 10 minutes in line. We have the right to be in there. We waited our term. Don't bring more people in then... I bought the Fanny pack in disgust. I kinda regret buying it from that location. I ordered a tank top from the Corte Madera location while I was at the Santa Rosa store because SR didnt have the color/size I wanted. Now, I understand when people try on clothes they can accidentally get deodorant on tops, but if you're going to ship a brand new item to a customer, especially an overpriced $40 tank top, the least you could do is remove the deodorant stains before you ship. read more

Don't understand these negative reviews! One of my favorite lululemon stores. Went there on a Saturday. From the outside of the small indoor shopping mall it's located in, it looks like a type of warehouse of some sorts. Boy was I wrong about that. The "mall" is secluded with sun shining in. Store are middle-fairly high class. There's a vineyard vines, Anthropologie, free people, etc. Honestly surreal and so gorgeous. Strange for a shopping mall, I know, but it's just that great! Now, onto the actual store. The store is a good size, with some good sales. The ladies working there were sweet and didn't hover but were still around in case you needed help. Small selection of headbands which is silly to be upset over but I do love my headbands. I picked up a pair of leggings (in movement 7/8), a water bottle, and two headbands. We took a day trip to Marin County and did a bit of shopping while out and about. Having attempted shopping at a different Lululemon in SF, I was happy to stop in at the Corte Madera one and have it be a lot quieter and relaxing. A sales girl came to help me and I gave her an outline of the style of pants I was looking for. She picked a few styles and sizes out for me and ran them back and forth to me to try on. Service was excellent and extremely helpful, I finally decided on a pair of pants and since they were too long, I was offered the option of free hemming, which I wanted to take but couldn't since I didn't think I'd be getting back to Marin in four days (it requires a Zip car rental). The sales girl said I could bring the pants in to a more local Lululemon and still get the free hemming! Definitely a good option if you're visiting the area. The prices are definitely up there, this isn't gear/supplies for the casual yoga/athletic practitioner, but the quality, fit and feel are fantastic. I'm more than happy to pay the price for good clothes (I've learned a very hard lesson in the past with cheap workout gear). I'm aiming for at least another pair of pants from this chain in the near future. read more

I went in this location yesterday to get a top and sports bra. Went I went to check out the woman was extremely snotty while greeting me. I wouldn't exactly call it greeting. I handed her the two items and went to grab my card out of my purse. I have this bad habit of not putting my card back in my wallet, so I made the comment "oh no where is my card" while I was searching my purse for it. The woman set all my stuff down, didn't ring anything up and said " do you have your card or not?" I was appalled at the level of rudeness that what. I wouldn't be there if I didn't have my card. I just thought she was really out of line to even say that and the fact that she stopped ringing up my stuff was so rude. Another great Lululemon location in the Bay Area - new location that just opened at Village at Corte Madera mall. Unfortunately it just makes it harder and harder to go to Lucy now that these stores are more convenient to go to, you know? The quality of their stuff can't be beat - I keep washing my ass-pants and they keep looking new, keep their shape, keep fitting great, don't pill. The sticky sweat gets wicked away no matter how hard I dance at ODC or Jazzercise. I also love how their styles and colors are nice, not to tacky, not too "yoga peace" looking... Anyway, glad to have another location to make an excuse to visit when we're over in north bay. Like the parking situation too... finally don't have to find street parking around a Lululemon. Additionally, this store is spacious and has a GREAT selection of stock (some finds here I haven't seen at other stores). All of the girls were really helpful and friendly, and a I ended up with a sweet sweatshirt and toque (yep, I'm Canadian and so is the chain... tis a toque fer sure). read more

DISCLAIMER: I have been coming to this Lululemon location for 10 years (since I was in high school!), and I exclusively wear Lululemon workout clothes. This most recent experience was the worst customer service I have ever had! For a brand that prides themselves on empowering women, the sales associates I encountered yesterday failed miserably. I have noticed over the years, as many other people here point out, that Lulu's leggings have become more and more see through, despite media attention on the subject. I came into their Corte Madera location yesterday specifically to find a pair of leggings that weren't see through. As I was shopping, I had about 10 items on my arm, and kept looking around for assistance. Sales associates were clearly available (the store was not busy), but when they saw me (made eye contact, I might add), they ignored me and let me struggle with my items. They did not ask if I needed help picking out leggings and seemed to just care about chatting with each other. The girlfriend-y vibe that Lulu used to do so well was clearly gone. Mind you, I saw other ladies struggling with their stuff, just like me. When I was ready to try on my leggings, the woman who let me into a dressing room was short and curt, as if I was asking her a favor. When I had a pair on I liked, I came outside for better light to see if the leggings were see through. When I asked her if they were, she told me to bend over, and when I did, I asked "Are they see through?" and she responded "Well, are you wearing a pink thong?" Her tone was not cutesy and joking: she was smug and stand offish, and incredibly RUDE. I was astounded, but, determined to find the right pair, asked her for help finding a less see through pair. She acted like this was a nuisance and told me to just size up (which would have been way too big), and walked away as if she couldn't help me anymore. She didn't even offer to help me find a better pair! Throughout the whole exchange, she acted as if I was I putting HER out. On top of that, her comment about my thong was INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL. She, like the other sales associates there, seemed to have forgotten that CUSTOMER SERVICE = SALES. The better you treat your shoppers, the more they will buy (just look at Nordstrom). I was there because I was ready to buy something (probably upwards of $500 worth too!), and they couldn't have cared less. As a result, I walked out without buying anything. MANAGEMENT: Whoever is doing the hiring and the training here needs to be checked. Don't forget that your sales associates are there to make you money, and money comes from buyers who feel aligned with your brand. If they don't, they will go to other stores or other brands (Athleta is quietly taking over your customers, btw). Final message: Don't bother with this store, unless you know exactly what you want and don't need the help of the sales associates. Otherwise, don't waste your time: go to a store in the city, or go to Athleta. I know I will. read more

I'm a single male who doesn't have a ton of disposable income to spend on workout clothes. So I'm not exactly Lululemon's target demo. But after visiting the store and being greeted by supermodels dressed in tight-fitting yoga pants, maybe I AM Lulu's target audience. It's kind of hard to say "no" to a gorgeous woman showing you a $150 warm-up jacket and saying how good it looks on you. It's like male kryptonite! All that being said, Lululemon has served me well over the years when I've been in a pinch to find the perfect bday or Xmas gift for my fit friends. They always have an impressive selection of exercise pants, shorts, tops, jackets, etc. in a wide array of colors. Yes, their clothes are expensive. But they're also high quality. I think a good warm-up jacket or exercise pants is as essential to a person's wardrobe as a nice pair of jeans. It's something you'll wear repeatedly for years to come, so it's worth forking over a few extra dollars. But that's just my opinion. read more

I love the design in the workout/yoga leggings this brand has. I have three that I have had for over five years. Because I do not live in them they still look and feel great. They were expensive but well worth the money because they are still around. They have had cute jacket designs over the years I have given my husband some of their clothes but he knows how expensive their product is - he can't appreciate their price point. Today's one of those days when I'm extra-thankful for Yelp. Last year, I became the last Marin Mom to discover Lululemon. Since then, I swiftly made up for lost time by spending an obscene and, frankly, embarrassing amount of money at the store, purchasing pair after pair of pants and capris, jackets upon jackets, and tanks o'plenty. I've been meaning to write this review for months, eager to tell the world about the awesomeness of Lululemon clothes. Up til yesterday, this review would have been 5 stars. While the service hasn't been dazzling, it's been sufficient, and though I had repeated issues with one garment--I think it was the In Stride Jacket and the first one wound up with shredded seams and the exchange for that had a zipper that became permanently stuck--I felt taken care by the staff and happy with my gorgeous clothes. Today, however, all that changed and guess what? I'm finally getting around to writing my review. Imagine that. As the other 1-star reviews call out, the return policy here sucks. I went to return something that I bought about a month ago and I was unaware of the farkatke 14-day limit. My three biggest complaints: The way the manager delivered the news. She didn't give a crap if this asinine rule pissed me off; she didn't cushion the blow. In fact, she seemed pleased to tell me about the rule and to stand her ground. No apologies. I was a store manager for a while and the first lesson I learned was how to tell a customer "no" and have them think you're saying "yes." Clearly, this manager hasn't learned this basic lesson of management. Secondly, this return policy is complete crap. I was also a retail buyer and merchandiser and I understand that this store turns its inventory more quickly than many other retailers. That said, their clientele shouldn't be punished for this. They're a big enough company and they charge $100 for a pair of pants made in China from one of their proprietary materials--they can afford to match the industry standard 30-day return policy. Lastly, if Lululemon is going to have such an unusually strict policy, they need to be REALLY clear about it. As Jordan smugly pointed out in her response to Yelper Cassie (a response to a negative review starting off with "Hey So-and-so"=obnoxious), Lululemon's policy is "strict" and "a little different than other stores". Yeah it is, Jordan. It's really strict and really different and, because of that, there should be a big sign at the registers. Otherwise, your shoppers will think you take care of your customers like a normal store. Which you're not. Whatever. Lululemon's return policy and the manager's hamhanded customer service skills have saved me a lot of money. I won't be back to the Corte Madera store EVER. I might head into the city at some point if I need a fix, but I'm more likely to zip over to Athleta where the clothes are great, the customer service is top-notch, and the return policy is more supportive of the customer than the company's bottom line. read more

I like the product, and "discovered" Lulu a few years ago on the Peninsula. Problem? They have a Nazi return policy, a creepy guy who always asks if you need help when you're there to buy a running bra, and the have employees who are pretentious but have nothing to be pretentous about! they also cater to short woman... better idea, go next door to the new Juicy store...great clothes, nice salespeople who are helpful, but not obnoxious. read more

I asked one of the salespeople if there was another size available in a top that I wanted to purchase, and when she checked she said there wasn't. I then asked if perhaps there was another Lululemon store that might have it and she said, "I could give you a list of stores and you could call them yourself". NICE. However, when she did not find the item, I asked to see if they could locate it at another store and she told me to call myself because they were too busy. It didn't appear to be busy. There were maybe 6 customers and at least 4 employees. I didn't see anyone waiting to be helped other than the one person at the register. Never the less, she wrote down the name on a piece of paper and sent me away. I understand being busy, but I would think she would at least offer to take my name down and call me when they were not. Don't understand all the negative reviews. It is a retail store and most of the staff are high school or college age. If you are looking for expert clothing advice or a personal shopper experience, you won't find it here or any other major brand mall store. For the most part, all of the staff that have helped me have been friendly and knowledgable enough. Had such a great experience with the young man working the register on 01/13 night and the manager that helped him out. I was in an accident a few months ago where I ended in the ER and they had to cut my leggings I had bought less than 6 months before for them to cast up my ankle. The two employees that helped me were extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable! They acknowledged my situation and provided me with a great solution. During these times, especially in retail, every situation feels very transactional... get in and get out. This was not the case with this team. The team at Corte Madera took their time to hear me out, understand, provide a solution and made me feel comfortable to return if I had any other questions. Thank you for a great interaction! This is the place for amazing threads for any type of workout. Whether it be yoga, running, cycling... The staff is amazingly friendly without being overbearing and they really know their stuff! It's so easy to shop there and know you are getting the best made clothes. Yes, they are pricey but oh so worth every penny. The cashier acted like we were giving her such an inconvenience while checking out. My first time here in this lulu. Unfortunately, I'm not satisfied with the service at all. It seems like they treated some customers better than others. At the cashier, I was exchanging an item, and they barely greeted me, nor did she give me a bag. As I went back in line to get a bag, I saw that the same cashier gave the next lady a bag. I'm trying to be positive but i feel a little disappointed and offended. It wasn't a big deal but I would expect better service for the prices of lulu. I would probably never come here again.
