I often write negative reviews when encountering a poor experience so today I want to commend a company for their extraordinary customer services. We purchased a pair of Lululemon leggings in August, and unfortunately the stitching began to unravel much sooner than expected. Given the quality and price point, we were quite disappointed, especially since the leggings were well cared for and never put in the dryer. We brought them into the store on the Upper East Side of NYC to ask whether an exchange might be possible, considering they were not very old. The experience could not have been better. The associate at the register was incredibly kind and immediately acknowledged that this should not have happened. He took the time to check whether the exact style was in stock, and when it wasn't, he offered to order a replacement and have it shipped directly to us. At a time when customer service can often fall short, this experience truly stood out. This Lululemon is hands down the best in the city (yes I've been to most of them!). While the selection isn't the largest, the amazing customer service from Lindsay more than made up for it! She's so knowledgeable about the product and passionate about Lululemon. Her energy is infectious and it's clear the team in the store is committed to being exemplary brand ambassadors. Everyone felt welcome and looked after (and I really can't say the same goes for staff in every store). read more

Lululemon is a high end athletic clothing store. I am always fascinated by how the other half lives. I am known to browse through while clutching my chest when I see the price of an item. This is the type of store where if you have to ask the price you shouldn't be shopping here. Obviously we all know how expensive the store is but the quality lasts for a long time. I always have 2 or 3 salespeople come greet me. Their customer service is absolutely amazing! I was looking for a pair of leggings/tights and it's sold out online. It appears that only 2 of the Lululemon New York Stores (in the entire USA) have them in stock. I called both stores and only Lululemon east 66th & 3rd called me back. The ladies were so friendly and patient when helping me out. They took my payment and shipping information today, provided tracking right away. Oh, and shipping is free from New York to California. I truly appreciate their effort getting this packed and shipped to me. It's difficult to find this level of service especially during pandemic. The 66th street store is TRASH. The stupid cashier accused me of trying to record him . As if! I'm 53 not 20 why would I record him I had my Apple Pay ready. So I walked out the store, NO item. Then I changed my mind & decided to make a formal complaint to the so called manager. Well, he totally dismissed my experience & proceed to tell me how that same cashier had an issue where someone recorded him & how it was a big todo... I'm like WTF does that have to do with me today. So now everyone with a phone in hand will be traumatized if they engage with him. This store use to be so great, but they closed for remodeling & since the reopening it's been TRASH people that work there. I literally live around the corner, what once was love has become hate. Sure, everyone knows the quality of products at Lululemon but what I'm reviewing is the customer service. I sprinted there on the 23rd to get a simple gift card for a Christmas gift. After making it in the Knick of time at 7:45 I was met with locked doors. Sure that the staff would understand when I mouthed the word gift card the only response I got was giggles from the three employees inside as they stared at me in humor. If the store closes at 8, than surely this global brand would make the attempt to accommodate me- especially when I was the only one outside and the employee understood my mouthing of the word "gift card" I am officially an alo yoga only fan. My hubby bought me my first (and third) pair of Lululemon pants and I love them! They hold 'everything' in nicely and they keep their shape after many washings. The hubby got a really nice jacket there too. The customer service in the store is very good, attentive without being overbearing. They also do free alterations for those who are vertically challenged like myself. They also don't make you feel bad when you ask "where is the sale rack?" Not gonna lie, the prices are pretty high for athletic wear, but truth be told. I don't wear these pants to workout in. I wear them when trolling the neighborhood and am not in the mood to wear jeans. It amazes me when I see women in my exercise class wearing them, they must be independently wealthy! Rolling on the floor and funking up $100 pants and tank tops (although the tank tops are pretty neat looking!). I prefer Lululemon to Athletica who is similarly priced. Athletica is owned by the Gap. I am not paying $80 + for a pair of 'Gap" stretch pants. Rather go to Old Navy and buy their workout wear for when I do workout. For trolling, Lululemon all the way! read more

I was treated terribly. People who work there are extremely rude. I came in to ask a question about return policy because I bought a pair of pants that are the same size all the others I purchase but this pair was see through, they are red but that shouldn't make them see through . I've been wearing Lulu since you could only buy their clothes in Canada... anyways I never exchanged before for new leggings but I heard if they are defective they will exchange them. I went in to confirm this and the sales lady I asked looked me up and down and said it was probably a sizing problem. I'm not even "large", not that it matters. I was not greeted by any sales associate when entering this establishment. In addition, I was not offered any help with what I was looking for and the sales associate in the fitting room did not greet me or ask for my name. I was told to just go into any one of the empty fitting rooms, however I noticed he was more engaging with other customers--introduced his name, asked for their name so that he could write it on the whiteboard of the fitting room door, and let them know to ask him with any questions or help them needed. The sales associate at the register on the other hand, was more welcoming and engaged in small talk. Based on my lack of overall experience at this location, it is highly unlikely that I will be revisiting nor recommending this location to a friend or family member. read more

I have been shopping here since Lululemon opened their doors. This review is way overdue. Clean, spacious store with a friendly helpful staff and excellent products. For me no work out pants fit as nicely as Lulu's. These pants will falter your body. They run pretty true to size. Their work out tops are wonderful as well, I have several of them but if you are small waisted with broad shoulders you will have to play with different style tops to see what's best. Their outwear is terrific it keeps you warm, dry and stylish. The customer service at Lululemon is always beyond helpful. Katelyn the other day helped me pick a new outfit just for fun. Always nice to add color or upgrade your work out wear. Worst check out service. Been to the store twice in past week and really wanted to purchase a product but both times counter was undermanned. Most recent visit manager was annoyed with me for asking for more check out people which I did because the one person ringing items up was doing a return purchase combo while the line got longer. Basically an average Lulu. No one was particularly pushy, but in some ways, people were less attentive than I'd expect them to be. For example, I had to ask for a room even though I was hovering around the changing rooms, and no one asked me if the clothing was working for me. I don't know... it's just the little things in a store like that that I noticed as different at this location. Still, the quality and prices are what you'd expect at any Lulu. read more

Received 3 pairs leggings as a gift but were wrong size. I returned via website in exchange for a gift card. Sent the leggings back. Tracking showed they were received. Never got the gift card and it wasn't credited to my grandmother's account. The company won't reply to emails and 3 hour phone wait for customer service. I took the $300 loss. Large, well stocked store on the UES that offers more than just clothing and accessories. They sometimes have events ranging from group runs to wellness speakers that are free to sign up for and are very well attended. I love Lululemon and find their products, though expensive, to perform really well. read more

Was super excited to come to Lulu lemon in NYC after a wonderful experience in Philadelphia. I loved my lululemon headband and yoga pants and couldn't wait to get more stuff from here. As soon as you walk in the workers yell "welcome!" but the atmosphere in the UES is cold, empty and the lighting is off and warehouse-like (I think it was temporary location). It was definitely a slow night at the store but when I finally got assistance from a worker he seemed annoyed that I asked a lot question. I told him that I wanted to get the yoga bag and checked out with him, I ended up spending over $200 and as I was leaving the store I had one last question and turned around and caught him facing the other cashier and rolling his eyes at me while is back was arched (can't make this stuff up). Wow, really? Can't even wait until I leave the store eh? Anyways while I was on their website to "give feedback" I realized their website is all very thin Caucasian people. I also realized every time I was at their store I was the only non-Caucasian person. I don't think I EVER caught someone rolling their eyes at me, shame on you fake and maybe racist salesperson. I've never been to any other one so I can't do a comparison, but I haven't had a bad experience in here yet. I've been in a few times and the staff has always been friendly and non-pushy. They do free alterations on pants and the turn around is fast (not even a full week). They have a sign up sheet for running group that meets there on Wednesdays (although I've never gone), but I do receive the emails and they seem keen on fitness and not just selling fitness apparel. The minus star is for one staff member making me feel like Saquatch when I was getting my pants adjusted. Me: I need to get these pants shortened a little Her: Ok did you bring a pair of running sneakers? Me: ::looks down at Coach velcro sneakers:: uhm no..is that going to be a problem Her: No we have a test pair here in the store just put them on! Me: Oh....well...my feet are pretty big. Her: Don't worry THEY ARE HUUUUUUGE let's pause for a second at the mini meltdown I had as the sneakers JUST FIT..like perhaps I could wiggle my toes but the humiliation of having HUUUUUUGE feet distracted me from testing this aspect of the pant adjustment scenario Me: Ok ...thanks..bye with a single imaginary tear rolling down my face...The End read more

I like LuluLemon, but I can't afford to deck myself out. Its too expensive for what it is. Its gear to sweat in, remember that when you're paying $98 for a pair of leggings. I have one bra tank from them- The Let Me Hold Those For You tank. Its a decent item, but it holds them so tightly that it hurts sometimes. I love the headbands with the grippy strip on the inside. They're the only thing that holds my bangs back while I'm jumping around my mat. They offer free classes on the weekend and the staff is really helpful. The best sports bras known to man. Oh my god, the girls are happy. Pants run really small, so size up one or two. But they flatter everything. They have free Yoga on Sundays if you're into that. HELLO - i am a lululemon addict. i'm guilty to say that i now own 3 pairs of lululemon shorts, 4 pants, some shirts, running gloves, and now a new owner of a running jacket/coat. Yes, they are overpriced but other than Sugoi and under armour, I see no comparison with any other sport attire brands in terms of quality. Sugoi and under armour doesnt scream sport fashionista though. Plus, these clothes last forever. I have a pair of lounge pants from 2007 and they still look brand new. Yes - their pants make your bottom look amazing! This particular store is well stocked, shirts and pants in every size. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. The fitting rooms were also very clean and big. read more

I have never purchased anything from this store. I do think that their clothing is overpriced and would not pay $80 on something to sweat/workout in. However, they offer plenty of workout classes and health/exercise related events for FREE. I have gone a few times for Yoga on Sunday. It's quite wonderful and I recommend it highly. Made my first Lululemon purchase at this store and left very impressed! I was approached numerous times by the staff on the floor to make sure that I was finding everything I needed and they even helped me to figure out what size I needed. I also found it extremely adorable how the store is very dog-friendly! There is fresh water in the store and saw a couple pooches with their owners in the dressing rooms. Only in NY.... Restraining myself for a while before I make my next purchase though- the prices can be tough on the wallet. read more

Great run club and excellent customer experience. I participate in the weekly run club on Wednesday nights and the group is really friendly and supportive. I was a little bummed when I went to this Lululemon store because I read about it opening and figured they'd be fully stocked with gear. Wrong :( They were out of so many sizes in several pant styles. There was, however, a ginormous stack of pants that none of the sales people had put back. It was like a yoga pant cemetery in the middle of the dressing room area. I thought that was a little weird but the staff was friendly so I will probably be going back. read more

To echo someone else, the sense of community at the Lululemon stores is out of this world. A friend and I used to joke that our entire social calendar was planned by Lululemon, from the free yoga in Bryant Park this summer to swing dancing at Lincoln Center, to the free weekly yoga classes they offer in-store. Visited for the first time this week with my sister. Loved the clothing, so we spent about 40 minutes browsing and trying things on. NOT ONE time were we approached by staff or asked if we needed help finding anything. The store was not crowded, and in fact there were more staff than customers. Still, no offers of assistance. This was interesting, given that each other customer was receiving personalized attention.
