ME thinks that Greed and Arrogance... may have gotten the best of LULULEMON.. NO MORE for me.. after 10 plus years of customer loyalty, I am not coming back... I tried to return a top with the tags on and my receipt . I was told that I was ONE DAY past my return limit and they gave me only about HALF of my purchase back in a credit... THe sales people seem very staged and robotic...and not genuine.. I decided to try ATHLETA.. a fairly new active wear store.. in the same location, with beautiful ,quality merchandise and a NO QUESTIONS ASKED return policy!! YEAH for ATHLETA!!!! lulu I love YOU! I wear you just about every single day. This means lots of repeat trips to lululemon. The fashion island store is my absolute favorite, biggest selection & outstanding staff. I always ask for Lauren K, my go-to sales girl, she's exceptional. She guides me on the right apparel & fabric, whether I'm working out, going out, or lounging out, she's got me covered. Most recently I went in for a couple new jackets because baby it's cold outside. The store was busy, but within no time Lauren had me trying on various styles & sure enough I found two perfect jackets, plus a handful of leggings & tops. Lauren even held my bags & kept an eye on my 5 yr. old kiddo while I shopped. It's important for me to connect with the right sales people because (1) lulu is not cheap & (2) I rely on their expertise & product knowledge. Lauren exceeds my expectations on every level. My past experience here was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I brought in a pair of pants to exchange sizes with a receipt (bought 1 day prior) and tag showing proof of my purchase. Not only did the 20 something year old behind the counter give me major attitude, but she also told me the pants "do not smell like Lululemon items" and they cannot accept the return... When I asked for her to elaborate on the "smell" she was unable to do so and was clearly trying to get me to leave.... Basically she would not accept a pair of unworn pants with no blemish's and CLEARLY no odor (unless I have something wrong with my nose)... I ended up exchanging the pants with the EXTREMELY friendly staff at the South Coast Plaza location... Being someone with great hygiene, I am beyond offended and infuriated to the point where I felt the need to make this review. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is far and away the best Lululemon I have been to. The team is always really helpful. Julius and Monique have helped me a lot in the past and are always really great with honest feedback on fit. I've personally never had a very poor experience at any Lululemon store, but have family members that have not had great experiences at other stores... I always tell them to go to "my Lululemon" which is this store. They are the best and don't pressure you to over spend or rush you when trying stuff on. Once I thought I lost my phone in the store and Britt gave me her cell phone number in case it wasn't in my car (since the store was literally closing) so she could let me back in if it was in there. I ended up finding it in the car (airhead moment), but I appreciated the gesture to help! Finally, I had a pair of pants repaired, but hadn't been able to pick them up for a couple months. I called this past Tuesday morning to make sure there wasn't a time limit and I wouldn't need to rush in and pick them up. The girl that helped me (I wish I had remembered her name) offered to mail them to me since I was having a tough time getting into the store. So sweet!! read more

I absolutely love lululemon and will continue to buy their clothes but I am giving this store one star because they have the absolute worst customer service. I typically go into the store after leaving the office and I'm wearing professional/business attire. During those times, I will get some attention (not always). Occasionally I have gone to the store in comfy clothes (sweatshirt, pants and flip flops), no makeup and hair in a pony. I'm not only ignored but treated terribly. I'm compelled to write this review because tonight was particularly bad. Not only was I looked up and down with disapproval but the sales person directed me to the sales rack without even asking me what I was looking for. I was stunned. Then when I told her what I was looking for she was rude and dismissive. She made numerous assumptions about my shopping history at the store, which was completely wrong. I've seen similar reviews. It's time for some serious customer service training and/or new hires. read more

Ok i love the lululemon clothes but i have to give this store a thumbs down! I went x-mas shopping and the young checkout clerk, im not sure of her name made my experience terrible, she treated me badly and was embarrassing me in front of the whole store over things i had no clue about. I shop at lulu for myself a lot and im a trainer and get a discount, no this is not a huge 40% discount it saves me a dollar maybe, i did not get any information saying i could not buy gifts. I was trying to buy some head bands and she asked me if those are gifts and i said yes then she proceeded to tell me that im taking advantage of them and how she could take me out of there system in front of a long line of people!!! WTH! Take advantage of them, i have spent thousands of dollars at this store. i will never shop there again. read more

if we all lived in a lululemon world we'd be a much happier, healthier, more loving, peaceful, and better looking civilization. i detest fashion island (fascist island as most good people come to call it), but i do make exceptions for lulu. the laid back, yummy-friendly, and way too good-looking staff is beyond helpful without being annoying, in your face, or nordstrom -type: "i'm on a commission!!!!!!" the product is even better. yes, it's pricey BUT the quality makes up for it through and through. i take these garments through at least 12 spin classes a week, and i don't even want to think how many pilates and other group classes. I wash and wash and wash. they are still brilliant with color, and have held their shape. what i love most is the wearability outside of the studios and gyms. they have great transitional pieces i can wear without changing my workout gear when i'm running errands in between work and home. i can wear lululemon out in public, and not feel like a complete newport beach tool who has to show everyone that she's in workout clothes. They do so much to support the community too. They have at least, one weekly in-store FREE group exercise class. They are constantly promoting local like-minded (health, environment) businesses. They listen to their customers suggestions regarding their apparel, and ways in which they may improve. 5 star rating definitely!! read more

i heart lululemon. i really do. i just wish they got their stuff from canada faster. the only good thing is that you're more likely to find some good old stuff in your size. i've been wearing lululemon for a while now and i love it more every time i wear it. the clothing is really comfortable for lounging and working out. i especially like the wetdrywarm shorts and tanks. i use them while i run and they're great. i love the jackets and hoodies. the original scuba hoodie is warm and cozy. the pants are also great, but they have a new design now for some of the pants where the seams are on the booty cheeks. makes the butt look a bit bigger, but i'm learning to deal with the extra emphasis. oh and the bags are just WONDERFUL. but be careful because once you start buying the bags, you just can't stop. or at least i can't. i love the pockets for wet clothes/shoes. very useful for the gym. i use them for carry-ons while flying also. the big size is great. pockets for every little thing. they've started to sell some of the ococo line at the newport store now also. it's all made out of this super soft soy cotton type material and it's soft and comfy. oh, and lululemon is very green. i love it. they provide reusable bags, which can be used for ANYTHING! read more

First time coming here and it will definitely be my last. First off lululemon has a quality assurance policy, if something is off about the leggings like the threading after purchasing them-they usually try to fix them or replace them. The woman at the counter basically accused me of ruining them on purpose.... really? I went out of my way to ruin $100 pair of leggings that I spent my money on... right... Then I was asking if I could exchange a pair for a different size instead she snatched them from my hands and just returned them to my card. I'm a personal trainer and this woman looked at me and said "really? You're a trainer?". Super disrespectful and rude. She was much older than anyone that worked there and very large. Also she was talking to someone else behind me in line while I'm trying to continue with my purchase. This turned me off because I only wear lululemons and spend a lot of money here. She also tried to accuse my boyfriend of stealing when he was throwing away trash. This place needs to up its customer service, because it sucks. read more

Visited on 9/8 in the afternoon. Went in knowing I needed more yoga pants, cause you can never have enough pairs! I didn't catch any of the names of the workers but they were all so welcoming, and especially helpful when I was trying to select what pants I wanted. The girl at the pants section, showed me her favorite pants and gave me suggestions based on what I would be using them for. I purchased the ones she suggested and they quickly have become my favorite pant. read more

(if I could I'd give it a -2 but that option doesn't exist here) I bought two of the same thing... I was told by one of the sales reps at this store to just bring it in (even though it was over 30 days ago.) Tag was attached, never worn etc. The older woman wasn't sure so she asked the pregnant woman (manager) basically they refused to refund me and blatantly said "it's over 30 days and it's also on your receipt !" I asked to speak with their manager and they asked for my name... they wouldn't give me the manager's number (apparently he/she wasn't there) then the two of them rushed to the back "office" where I overheard them complaining about me ! I wasn't rude I wasn't being difficult but apparently they weren't happy when I asked to speak to their boss. When I called the so called manager basically she was backing up the two clowns in the store (making me feel blamed for not "reading the return policy rules on the receipt." All I wanted was to return or get a refund on a item I WAS TOLD TO BRING BACK. Basically I was denied a refund. I spend A LOT at Lululemon... and how they treated me was with much disrespect. I feel BLAMED for having been a totally great customer... I have so much lululemon in my closet it's embarrassing and I only returned maybe 2 things out of all I purchase at this store. NEVER going back now; NEVER buying lululemon. Infact guys... I found other manufacturers that are serious athletic wear : On (running,) Betty Designs (cycling,) Alo (yoga,) and Patagonia (environmentally conscientious recycled clothing !) I doubt lululemon is conscientious except to make certain their once loyal customers suffer for shopping their ridiculously priced (semi serious) athletic clothing line. read more

The best quality fitness clothing you can find and they back their product 100% if you ever have a flaw, which is unlikely. I've been wearing Lululemon for 5 years now and love it, I shop at every store across the USA when I'm traveling in hopes for new styles. Fits perfectly on any body type and really makes you look good and the feel is awesome. I admire the product and how this company is run, it's pretty fantastic. Their athletic clothes are pretty pricey, but they wear and look nice.. They have really good quality sports clothing! I just bought the cutest gray tank tennis dress, but you can also wear it with leggings and dress it up with accessories for a night out with friends. read more

Today, I drove about 30 minutes from my office on my afternoon lunch break to lululemon's retail store located at 563 Newport Center Drive in Newport Beach CA, USA excited to purchase my first pair of lululemon yoga pants and yoga tank top. Unfortunately my excitement quickly turned into complete frustration. When I arrived at the mall where the retail store is located, I did not know the exact location of the store inside the mall since I had never been to this retail store. I called the store in order to find out where in the mall they were located. My call went unanswered after not 1 or 2 or even 3 calls but a total of 7 calls in the span of 20 minutes. Since I was on my lunch break, I had to start heading back to the office since no one answered the phone to help me. As I drove back, I called the GEC phone number to see if, as a courtesy, lululemon would offer me some sort of coupon or discount for the inconvenience I experienced since now I was going to have to make a second trip back to the retail store at a later date. To my surprise, the first lady I spoke with informed me that no such offer was in place. I found it utterly shocking that a company based entirely on customer service does not provide special offers and discounts to its customers?! I asked her to transfer me to her Manager since I thought maybe she just didn't have the authority to offer me a courteous discount. I was then transferred to another lady named Farah, who is 1 of 3 team members on the RS team. She also echoed that such a program does not exist nor could she offer me any discount or transfer me to another person who could help me. But that she would provide feedback to the store manager at the retail store. I mentioned to her that I was not sure how that helped me and my current situation. She did not seem to care, as she kept robotically repeating the same information to me again and again. When I asked for her last name, she said she would not provide it to me. At this point, it is an understatement to say I was VERY frustrated but I had to hang up since I was back at work. Now, not only have I wasted my valuable time, gas, energy and effort but I've also spent a solid 40 minutes on the phone with someone who still cannot help me. So here I am writing this letter as a last resort with the hope that lululemon will right ALL these wrongs. Lululemon needs to understand that I am a customer, who they are supposed to be servicing and if there are no programs currently in place, one needs to be established at the time of need, based on the customers needs. read more

i love the brand. the people that work here (and every other lululemon) are SO helpful and so nice. i've never had a bad experience shopping at any lululemon. I love the wunder under pants, and their racerback tops. I think it's a little too expensive ($14 for one pair of socks) and i haven't loved the colors lately. they have like highlighter pink and yellow pants, i mean realistically most people won't wear them. thank goodness their colors change every month! read more
