I admit I received some pants and a top which fits perfectly as a gift from here, but the clothing concept is over rated. I have popped in a few times since but it generally would not be what I would spend my budget on. The problem is I see these items on everyone now. The store seems a bit small or is it because it is always over crowded? Appears to be a decent selection for men and somewhat fair for women but in a month span I came in twice and they had the same selection. A jacket I had been eyeing and considering still was not available after 6 weeks but I could order it online. I personally like a quick result and if I go into a brick and mortar I prefer to not have to go home and order online. Impulsive shopping is what makes business' thrive!! The customer service at this location is superb. I am always asked if I need any help and my questions are answered with careful consideration. Their clothes are good for hot yoga! Just pricey. I have shopped at roughly 8 different LuLu stores and am a devote shopper. All other Lulu stores i have visited have a great atmosphere and the employees are more than happy to help. Well, guess what I find? I like the Newport Beach store the best compare with the one in the spectrum. Selection is more and quantity of the same style is more too. Even sales price is cheaper in the one in Newport Beach for the same item. I got a hot yoga shorts for $14 the other day.. $14!!!!!!! So do check their racks, there are always things on sales and you might find some good bargains. I guess I'll check back regularly to see if things are onsale, but I do noticed there are many skinny people in Newport Beach tho, b/c they are the first to be sold out.. it's always size 8 and up that's left, bad news for me. =( But still, love the store! read more

I went into lululemon wanting to buy a certain pair of leggings that I had been searching for forever! We were about to order them at the store but they were sold out online!!!!!! So we had a wonderful employee help us, her name was Maddie. She went above and beyond to find the pair of leggings. She called numerous stores and stayed with us until they were found. Ok, despite their expensive prices, I am a huge fan of lululemon. That being said, the staff at this particular lululemon store are not very friendly and not very helpful. And have never shown any inclination to change their attitudes. I've been here a few times now because my friends and I come often to stroll around and window shop at Fashion Island especially when the weather is nice and it's dog-friendly to boot. If I get any greeting walking into this lululemon store, it's typically given in an uninterested tone. Because of the rather crappy attitude of the staff at this location, I always wait to go to South Coast Plaza to buy any new lululemon gear. I literally made a yelp account so I could write this review! This is by far the most AMAZING store I have entered. My mom and I made our very first visit this past Saturday and we will be back ASAP. From the second I walked in, I felt so welcomed and excited. Within 2 minutes, the nicest guy ever approached us to ask if we needed any assistance. I told him it was our first time and that we are both Yogis! He took the time to explain the different materials and how certain fabrics were better for our type of yoga. He then asked us if we needed help figuring out sizes and helped us break down what would be the best fit for each of us. He then let us know where we can find each item and I think it is SO rad that the pants are set up from tightest to loosest. He let us know that his name was Colin and that he was the manager. With all his knowledge, he had to be! With his help I had all the perfect sizes and when I went to the fitting room the girls were also so helpful. They were always willing to grab other sizes for my mom to make sure she had the best possible fit. Colin checked back with us and even invited us to the Sunday Yoga they have in store! We unfortunately had other plans, but hopefully soon! I left there with a huge bag of new yoga gear and the BIGGEST smile on my face. They have by far the most knowledgeable and genuine people who work there. Yes, some items are pricey, but I worth every penny! I did a hot yoga class tonight and I was amazed by the difference. I never want to wear anything but lululemon!!! Finally, my mom and I both bought mat bags and were super bummed to find out that our manduka mats were just too big for them. My mom came to the store the next day and Colin helped her again. He even remembered her name! He was happy to take the returns and my mom went ahead and snagged another pair of pants. Terrible, terrible, terrible Customer Service at this store!! I've been shopping at lululemon for years. I've always loved the quality of their clothing and their customer service has been great, until I walked into the Newport location. For the first time ever, i brought my 3 & 4 year old boys with me because I didn't have a choice. In the past I've noticed at other locations they've had some toys in the dressing room area to keep littles occupied; not here! The look, feel and customer service in the store is cold and sterile. I was looking for a particular pant, so asked a employee standing right in that area for what I was looking for. Told her I wasn't sure if I was a 6 or 8. She handed me 1 pair of pants in a size 6 and pretty much shooed me away. It turned out they weren't even the pants I had asked for; she just couldn't wait to get rid of me. So , I had to go back and ask yet another person for help. Then when I walked into the dressing room, another employee was standing in there, but never acknowledged me. I had to ask her how I could get a room... already completely over the snobbery of the employees, I now had to go through the checkout process. The young girl helping me at the cash register asked me if having 2 boys was a "HASSLE"!!! How in the world does anyone think its appropriate to ask such a thing!?! The entire experience at this store has left me wanting to return the pair of pants and never shop at lululemon again!! read more

Worse customer service experience ever. Lululemon in my opinion is highly overrated in terms of quality. The aesthetics are great compared to other activewear lines, but that doesn't entitle poor customer service and worse yet return policies. During the checkout process they tell you how to care for the garments, but not once do they mention a 2 week return/exchange policy. Newport staff is pretty darn arrogant and are they really just too busy to ever answer the phone? I would rather shop elsewhere. read more

I am an active dancer and have been dancing since I was 6 years old. I had recently visited the lululemon store (in Newport Beach, CA) to get my leggings fixed because there was a small hole developing due to wear and tear from dance. The reason why I saved up to buy the leggings was because I truly believed in the quality of Lululemon. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed when I picked up my leggings on 6/28/19 and discovered a very obvious stitch and substandard repair in them. Not only did it not look right, it felt extremely uncomfortable with the stitching rubbing up against my skin. In addition, when I asked about it, they said they couldn't replace them either. It caught me off guard because I have always been proud to wear your products and have always promoted it to my peers of the quality and comfort. In closing, I just wanted to let you know how disappointed and frustrated I was with the salesperson at your store. There was no empathy and again, I just expected more. read more

Sales staff on the floor very helpful... Check out was a breeze... But be forewarned, do not count on items shipping correctly from alterations/fittings department... Looking for items purchased more than three weeks ago that needed minor hemming never shipped. I called the store to ask them to track the package... I don't know what's more annoying, the sickly sweet voice excuse of "I'm sorry it (the ship instructions) must've gotten detached from the original order from the wit in the dressing room area or the lack of follow through on their part... They have a paid order sitting there that hasn't been picked up for three weeks and never bothered to call to say "hey we have your things ready". Lululemon get your act together, your prices are too high not to have exceptional customer service to accompany your price point. There are plenty of other athletic wear companies out there that do an exceptional job with customer service. read more

i never imagined i could feel sexy while working out. that is until i discovered lululemon. i kept on noticing the logo on almost every girl at my yoga studio. and then a friend of mine told me to check out the store in fashion island. she said although it was a little pricey, the tops are amazing quality would last me a lifetime. and my god was she right. not only is everything they make strong and sturdy, but they fit perfectly. i probably tried on 20+ athletic tops at target and none of them would fit over my boobs without being too wide in the waist. this has always been my fit problem: big boobs and a tiny torso. (and yes, they ARE real). at lululemon an 8, or medium provides great support without the rest looking too big. i must say i have to disagree with sandra p. the employees were super helpful at this location. they made sure to start me a fitting room with my name on it, and brought almost every style to my dressing room and gave me fit advice. 30 minutes later i walked out with 2 tops and a pair of pants on sale for around $150. totally worth it. i feel like a hot fox in their clothes, they contour my body perfectly. and i can use, abuse, sweat in, and wash them over and over without any wear. read more

The staff is very nice and always greets me, which is always something that I have loved about all lululemons! It is clear by looking at the staff in this storet( they are all beautiful blonde 12 year olds!)hat you are focusing on selling to young people who exercise What you are missing is there are many women over 50 who exercise, and have large incomes and would love to spend money in your stores; however, there is not one person over 30 with whom an older client can relate. Suggestion: Hire some older sales people, and watch your bottom line increase! FYI- I was in your store last week with my friend ( we are both 64). We were totally Ignored, I wanted to try on a sweater, but I couldn't get any of "the blondes" attention. So we left, I would have purchased. The clothes are amazing. They have a variety of colors and styles that you can wear to the gym and after. The fabric is not too thin and is high quality. I took two stars off for poor customer service. I had to try hard to have someone help me. Literally multiple female salespeople were just talking to each other. The one staff who helped was nice. This location has the WORST customer service ever. They really should walk into the crystal court store or the LUCY store and learn from them. I was ready to spend some serious cash on some cute new workout clothes. in this store for almost an hour today and was ready to spend some serious cash. As I walked in, not one employee greeted me or made any attempt to help me find anything. I was in this store for almost an hour and was walking around with a few hundred dollars worth of clothes in my arms. You would think that someone would have noticed and tried to help. No one did. As I was listening to the employees talk to each other and to "select" people, I finally just left. I didn't even get a, "Thanks for coming in today" or anything. This is the 3rd time in a row that this has happened in this store. I went down the street to LUCY, was greeted and helped in such a nice way. I spent all my money there instead. The clothes are just as good and the customer service is awesome!! Shame on you Newport Lulu. It is too bad that they lost me as a customer. I am a fitness instructor all over Orange County. First let me start by saying i love LuLuLemon Products. I own multiple pairs of there pants and there all great! However, the ABC Jogger pant I purchased just didn't hold up at all.... The stitching came undone and caused a hole in the actual fabric of the pant. That being said i took these pair of pants to the store and they did not honor the warranty. The girl told me all we can do is stitch it but i explained to her the pants will never look the same because it needed to be stitched on the actual fabric NOT the seam. The real issue here is that on their own website they market Quality Promise and the words " If our product doesn't perform for you, we'll take it back." I explained this to the girl at the counter and she was simply rude and was of no help, as if i was an inconvenience. I understand its the holidays and a lot of people are shopping but customer service is everything. That being said i plan on taking these pants to another store and trying my luck there. Here's the truth of the matter. For me I do truly absolutely love the clothing here. Yes it is expensive but I do feel that the quality and style is very much worth it. Being a gym rat myself I love wearing clothes that can transition from gym to casual wear. But I must admit and agree with other reviews that this store does indeed have (some) not all very snobby and arrogant acting personnel. Now this is disappointing because it appears they judge you on yes, looks, race, and what they feel you may afford. Its not a coincidence and they need to be counseled on this consistent problem. I come to the Fashion Island lululemon for the people. The people who work there are in the workout community of OC. A lot of them are exercise instructors and are very knowledgable on what to wear for a specific workout or a great general piece of gear. I love the product and have been buying it for 8 years now. I still own my first piece of lululemon and it is in perfect condition. *Note it does matter how you wash and dry so make sure to ask for care instructions and your clothing will last through all your workouts! read more

I came in with 3 pairs of shorts, that I had been told by a prior employee about three weeks ago, I could return because my husband didn't like the fit of them... And much to my surprise even though I did not have a receipt or tags... These ladies helped me with a smile and service that exceeded any expectations and all expectations I could've had. They were truly enjoyable and made my shopping experience amazing! Definitely worth all the extra money you spend to get good clothing but marked by great service especially by these two girls. I only wish they carried more guy clothing because 90% of the store is meant for female shopping. But at this point, I will take whatever I can get. This lululemon store is located right by Bloomingdale's and parking at times can be a issue. This review is for the store and staff itself since I do no wear their clothes, but rather purchase them for my wife who is a huge fan of theirs. I cannot shop for my wife for anything. I am the typical husband who walks around a store I think she likes in circles getting dizzy trying to find the right gift. When I went here the staff immediately saw this and they were quick to help me in my buying confusion. They talked to me about the different styles and guided me around the store to pick out the perfect items. They were very helpful and all in a great mood. The store is run like a well oiled machine. Granted the prices of items are through the roof, but the clothes themselves are the best out there. You even get a great bag for your items when you leave that is a gift in itself.
