Make sure you call ahead, even if their website says they're out of stock cause it may not be updated just yet. The customer service is absolutely phenomenal too! I HIGHLY recommend them for catering because they go above and beyond to make sure your order is right and your experience is one that will have you coming back for more! The Norwood location is like a small walk-up bakery but their Liberty Township location is more like a sit down restaurant and is so cute and cozy! I've had a lot of cupcakes in my day, and I can say with confidence these are some of the best I've had. The cake has the perfect amount of moisture and the ratio of icing to cake is ideal. Speaking of the icing, no matter the flavor, I found the sweetness level to be great rather than having an overbearing taste of sugar. I love all of the filled cupcakes too, especially the cookie dough and cake batter! They have options that are flourless and vegan too. Even these don't compromise on taste. Visited with my family while we were in town and we all loved it! The cupcakes were seriously so good--super moist with amazing fillings. You could tell everything was made from scratch! We tried a few and couldn't even pick a favorite but we all really loved the creme brulee. The shop is really cute too with swings at the counter and fun decor. We must have had an unusual experience at this store. Overall, we thought the cupcakes were very dry and were basic. For the price and the fame, we expected something that was different that the normal cupcake you can get from Kroger. How about...........CUPCAKES?!?!? Seeming to have grown to a bit of a craze, I've seen a lot of cupcake places pop up over the last few years. Many of which I can say didn't last very long. But, I'm a sweets guy will very little self control in that department. So, when I see one I want to try it. Sadly, I have been let down about 50% of the time. For whatever reason, they just don't get it right. Molly get's it right! I've been here a few times now and I've tried at least a half dozen different cakes. My favorite, by far, is the Peach Cobbler cupcake. Absolutely phenomenal. The cake - Moist (the only allowable context to use this word) and tasty. Not dry, hard/dense or tasteless. Molly's right on with this one. The frosting/topping - Sweet and creamy and with some, quite creative. Molly's is a nice little shop. There are some tables and areas to eat your treats on the spot or take them home to enjoy. Or..... if you are of little self control - Have one, or two, there and then eat the rest at home in private shame/enjoyment. Would I go back? Yes I would and I've been a few times now. One small footnote with a bright side. I love carrot cake. "Love" like the way a mother loves her children, "love". On my last visit I bought one of their Carrot Cake Cupcakes. Also, I believe I've had one before. But on this visit, something was wrong with the cake. I couldn't eat it. In a non-threatening and non-Karen way, I quietly brought it up to one of the ladies behind the counter. She could not have been more accommodating and asked if I'd like one to replace it. I opted not to, but that was only a small demonstration of self control on my part. The point is, she handled it like a champ and offered to make it right. Which is why Molly's will still have my business. Note - If you're one of those people who gets joy out of making a scene when something isn't just right or doesn't go your way, stay home. You don't need to be out in the wild tearing people down. Handle it like a human being. Handle it as if you would want to be handled if it was the other way around. read more

I typically don't even care for cake and this cupcake was AMAZING! I stopped in while walking around Liberty Center and picked up a couple of cupcakes for myself and my husband. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his carrot cake cupcake. I tried the peanut butter cupcake and it was incredible. The actual cake itself was so moist. Then it was covered with a layer of chocolate and peanut butter topping. The crowning jewel that made it over the top delicious was the peanut butter filling. Highly recommend!! read more

And the place is super inviting. Very cool looking store. Very unique cupcake offering. I got 2 cupcakes, one for me and one for my BFF. I have had a lot of cupcakes over the years and I have to say these are super soft and amazingly yummy. I see the offer coffee as well. I can't say enough about how good these cupcakes are. I would gladly come here than any chain type cupcake place or even the local grocery stores. These are just so moist and tasty. They are not cheap cupcakes, but I would say they are absolutely worth the money. I will be back and I hope to see other reviews and photos from customers. Ecstatic that there is a Molly's Cupcakes in the greater Cincinnati area (previously I was always going to the one in Chicago when I was visiting family)! Cupcakes are usually between $3-4, and so full of delicious sweet flavor and goodness. I am a huge fan of the peach cobbler cupcake (which has won Cupcake wars on foodnetwork), and have tried the maple bacon (winter seasonal cupcake), s'mores, and creme brulee. I love the ones with lots of frosting, and most cupcakes tend to have extra frosting or filling in the middle depending on the flavor. There is also a create your own cupcake option which I may have to try out next time. The place is cute with swings, friendly staff and extra sprinkles if needed. I've had Molly's cupcakes twice. I eat pretty healthy but work in a treat snack occasionally. I was super excited for the blueberry cheesecake cupcake but after 1 bite, deemed it not worthy of the calories and gave the rest to my daughter, the cupcake queen. My daughter was also not blown away by the cupcake. I had Molly's again last week and tried the cookie dough cupcake and the Samoa. The Samoa was good but seemed to have too much "junk" on it, maybe eliminating an ingredient or two would make it better. With that said, the Samoa cupcake was definitely worth the calories and worth finishing. I really loved the cookie dough inside of the cookie dough cupcake. Overall, Cincy has great cupcake places and for me, this is not considered one of my favorites. Maybe more true buttercream cupcakes would bring me back.
