Pretty decent chicken over rice, very comparable to the locations in queens or hicksville

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Authentic Lebanese Cuisine in the middle of Hempstead!…read more We started off with their complimentary olives & pickeled radishes; refreshing and a great palate cleanser. Then we were served Pita bread; not the soft & fluffy kind but more of a thin pita pocket type. This pita went so well with the spreads! Here is our menu (shared by 3ppl): ~ Baba Ghannouj ($10): outstanding. The smokey flavors were mouth watering. Recommended! ~ Fattoush Salad ($15): very good; fresh veggies with a fresh herb dressing. Another great palate cleanser ~ Samboussek Jibneh (feta cheese dumpling) ($12/4pcs): loved these! The dumplings are deep fried but weren't greasy at all. This was a treat! ~ Lahme Meshwi (grilled filet mignon cubes w.rice & veg) ($40): I thought this dish was a tad bit overpriced but great nonetheless. The filet mignon was so tender and prepared perfectly. The rice and grilled veggies were good also. ~ Kaftan Kebab (grilled minced lamb kebabs w.rice & veg) ($25): the kebabs were very flavorful but could have used a sauce. I ate some with the Baba Ghannouj and it was wonderful. The assorted grilled Vegs were great. Note that they do not serve tap water; must purchase bottled water. Beit Zaytoon is located in a small strip mall, so there is plenty of parking available! Recommended, and I would definitely return to explore other menu items!

I ordered the lamb chops while my husband had the chicken shawarma, and both plates came with rice, vegetables, and a fresh salad with a homemade dressing that was incredibly tasty and unlike anything we've had before. The drinks were homemade too - we had the lemonade and iced tea - and the presentation of everything was beautiful, right down to the mint sprigs in the glasses that added such a nice touch. We were served by the owner, Elias, who was warm, personable, and provided impeccable service the entire time. Even though we didn't order dessert, he surprised us with baklava on the house - delicate flaky layers topped with honey and pistachios that were absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a relaxing place to enjoy great Lebanese food, Beit Zaytoon is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming, and not cramped at all.

The store itself was *immaculately* clean. Somehow the fries even stayed hot & crispy on my ride home (I feel like fries from any place get soggy right away). The sandwich was a generous portion & they were nice enough to make my sandwich with the modifications I asked for. I will definitely be returning!

It is spacious with plenty of tables. We go up to the counter and order 2 gyros and an order of fries. We did not order drinks, and we were asked if we wanted water. So, we took the water. We sat at a table the drinks and food were brought over to us. Great service. Our Gyros were plentiful with meat, and I ordered mine with no tomatoes and my wife with no onions and good portion of fries. The Gyros and fries were very good. We finished the Gyros but not the fries. Nice size portions. We were full. When were finished we were told not to clear the table, they would do it. A quick enjoyable meal for us with great service, looks like this is going to be our new Greek dining spot. Hope to return soon. A must try if you like Greek food.

Coming in we found this gem to be top notch yet small and accommodating. It was immaculate and everything was in its place and the bar stools were so beautiful. We approached the counter, made our order and sat and waited for our food. The young lady and young man, I forgot their names, they were very cordial and pleasing to talk to. During our interaction we found out that Avli has another location in Bayside NY and this location was opened 2 years ago. When the order was ready, they brought the food out to us. We had the lamb gyro. This a huge meal, a delicious looking masterpiece that was assembled well and I found it very satisfying. This was an all lamb gyro, other places sell mixed lamb and beef. This gyro was very fresh witha full lamb flavor. We tried the orange cake for desert, it was quit delicious and not too sweet, also very satisfying. The Greek restaurants are blossoming in Franklin Square. I most definitely have choices I'm Franklin Square when I want Mediterranean dishes and I'll be back. Inspire more,Yelp more?

The place itself is clean and has a nice, welcoming atmosphere. It's on the smaller side, but they seem to do a lot of takeout, so it stays pretty busy. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly, and the young lady working there was also warm and welcoming. That kind of service definitely makes a difference. Overall, a great spot for a quick, tasty meal. I'd definitely come back!
