    Beef and basmati rice
    Teresa C.

Had lunch with my mom here. It was a Thursday afternoon and completely empty. I was a bit skeptical, but decided to stay anyway. The only person working seated us and was also our waiter. He was polite and gave recommendations. We had the choose 3 apps (samosa, spinach pie, and eggplant spread) and shared the beef entree that came with steak and a ground beef sausage. Everything was prepared well and tasty. My mom even got an order of rice to go that the server generously didn't charge us for.

Loved the food here! The shirazi salad was simple but truly bursting with flavor and very fresh. It went well with the house bread too. I liked the trout but was very confused why it came with a sauce that tasted like a ranch salad dressing. The combination did not make sense and I pretty much did not touch it. I wish there was a bit more substance to the sides and I thought broccoli was an odd vegetable pairing for a Persian place but was otherwise fine. Overall good meal, kind and quick service, and nice ambiance.

Food was fantastic. Service was great. Fair price for a lot of food! It was a little different Mediterranean menu than I am used to seeing but glad I made the choice to go in. If back in NY I'd go again.

The food was great! We came in for an early Mother's Day dinner with a party of 13 and ordered three mixed platters -- everything was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and flavorful. However, the service could have been better. Our server, who appeared to be the manager, seemed visibly annoyed, which unfortunately took away from the overall experience. Aside from that, we really enjoyed the meal. Would probably be back.

Definitely a worthwhile place for some good authentic Persian food. I got the salmon shish kabab and my husband got chicken jujeh. We absolutely loved the food, the flavors and if you like spice then definitely ask for the green sauce! Very friendly staff, they also have a full bar, and a nice ambiance. Definitely coming back here again.

Came here for dinner after a movie with friends. ( it was previously a different but similar restaurant) Service was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Menu has a good amount of fish and vegetarian dishes. Portions are generous. Had the pomegranate martini which was full and very tasty! Very enjoyable! Warm pita was put on the table when seated. Also appreciated a pitcher of water on the table, although servers still were attentive in filling up our glasses. Appetizers and entrees were excellent and also good portions. I had the salmon kebabs and sour cherry rice which was delish! Others had the trout , white fish, and vegetable kebab, which were all good. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant , which is in a strip mall. Interior is simple , comfortable and we appreciated that it was not noisy. Would definitely return.

Our family dined here one Sunday in February for dinner. We ordered Sabzi Khordan (cheese and walnuts with various herbs), Barg (meat that came with rice that was well prepared), hummus, and samosa, Jude kebab, and Adana kebab. The albalo polo or cherry rice was great -- and the baghali polo (rice with dill and fava beans) was very good. They even gave our group a rolled pastry dessert that was enjoyed by my family members. The meats were cooked well -- not too long or short. Why not five stars then? Well, we regularly ate/ordered from the restaurant formerly in this location -- the Azerbaijani Grill, and this restaurant is similar in nature. The service is still fantastic -- warm servers make it seem more familial help make the place a good one for a family meal. What's challenging though is that I can compare the two. There were previously dishes with sauces and other vegetables on that longer menu. I hope that FandoQ will bring back some of these options and add some seasonal Persian dishes too. Doing so will provide more variety. Regardless, we'll be back to check in.

This restaurant is AMAZING!! This is Mediterranean food. That is so authentic and delicious. It's Mediterranean Persian cuisine. The iced tea is so delicious in the hummus is the best I've ever had !! The restaurant is so clean and the service is so good. The prices are also very reasonable. I will always continue to come here and you should too. . Also, i've been eating here about 10 years and they now have new owners. A few of the recipes have changed but it's still as delicious.

This place has amazingly great Mediterranean cuisine. I highly recommend this place. To complete the meal I had a Persian tea. Perfect end to a great meal.

Great customer service, great food We were party of 4 and got bunch of appetizers to share including Samosa, salad Shirazi , spinach yogurt and mirza ghasemi and ash reshteh. I must say every thing was so yummy that I couldn't stop eating them with their nice worm bread. Unfortunately I had no room to order main dish but my family got kebobs and they all enjoyed, Great baklava and Persian tea Best of all was the kind waiters and service

Updated review! Still going after all these years!…read more This time for dinner. We got an appetizer platter which was fantastic but very pricey, if I'm remembering right it was $36ish and just because of the price I would not order it again. We also ordered the obligatory kebabs and cherry rice. Of course we loved them. For the first time ever we tried some desserts. I just ordered the oddest sounding thing. Falooda. Now I'm dreaming of eating it again! Rose/Lemon ice with little noodles! There was also some tart cherries in juice on the side and a lemon wedge. The waitress was so nice, she had to explain how to eat it. Just dump the cherries on top of the ice & noodles and a squeeze of lemon. It was delicious. Best dinner I've had in a while!

The combination platter is a great way to get a taste of a variety of meats. The barg is marinated beef that is so soft and tender, it's truly delicious, the jujeh is chicken that is big pieces and is so juicy, and the Koobideh is ground beef that has so much flavor. The albaloo polo rice is my absolute favorite. The sweet and sour cherries, almonds, and pistachios compliments the basmati rice so well. It is my favorite rice hands down! I can eat a whole plate for myself, since it's so light and fluffy. Service is great, the wait staff is accommodating, and the food comes out quickly. The ambiance is nice as well. Plenty of seating, and has a nice view of Main Street. I always enjoy eating at Ravagh. Plenty of food, and I never leave hungry!

The stuffed feta dates were the good balance of sweet and savory, and the eggplant dip was incredibly smooth and rich without feeling heavy. A little extra seasoning could go a long way with the dip! For mains, the salmon was beautifully cooked and well-seasoned, and the lamb shank was a standout--tender, deeply flavorful, and comforting in the best way. The falafel had a great crisp on the outside while staying soft inside. You can really tell they put care into each dish. What made the night extra special was the birthday surprise: the sweetest baklava presentation that felt so warm and personal. It was such a thoughtful touch. We also ended the night with cappuccinos, hot chocolate, and an affogato (not pictured), which were the perfect cozy finish. Overall, Shiraz Kitchen strikes a great balance between elevated and welcoming. It's the kind of place that feels just as right for a celebration as it does for a relaxed dinner. Would absolutely come back.
