Cute little spot to get your morning coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the architecture and art on the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small seating areas in front and to the side.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Street parking. Employees are very nice. My friend and I went by Lumen Coffee today and had a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's such a cute shop with really creative gold tiles artistically laid with dope cats intertwined throughout the design. Eye-catching and cool vibes for sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was really nice to us on our visit in, explaining their flash brew cold coffees to us. Interesting technique to lock in more flavors and I found it really tasty. We got a flash brewed blend and a standard cold brew, and could totally tell the difference. Also had a savory ham and cheese croissant which they warmed up for us. It was sooooo~ buttery and just melted in my mouth with a good amount of protein inside. Loved it! We got lucky to find a parking spot right out front so it can be done! Great coffee shop in Highland Park that I will definitely come back to.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Lumen is a small, but colorful kiosk serving up a curated collection of coffee to try out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I opted for a rose cardamom latte (iced), as it was quite a warm day. My drink was nice and refreshing, although the cardamom did overpower the rose flavor; I would've loved to have had the rose shine a bit more. Glad I tried it!

Their menu is a bit more traditional and limited, but once I tasted my coffee I understood why. They have great espresso! When you have great espresso, you don't need much else in a drink. They also had vegan bakery items. Parking may be difficult around this location. Shout out to LA Coffee Passport for introducing me to this gem. Looking forward to visiting again.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A very smartly designed artsy coffee stand with awesome coffee and pastries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The espressos are deep and rich. I had an espresso fizz and it was super refreshing. With our Indian summer going I needed something cool and refreshing and this hit the spot. What I didn't need was the pain au chocolat but I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The staff was as nice as it's allowed and still got the aloof air that's needed at the cool coffee spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside of the building is a true work of art and there's a small patio seating area with a tells full of passion fruit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A pleasant experience all around.

Today, I start the Fall season with a cup of coffee and an adventure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lumen Coffee is a tiny to-go coffee bar in the heart of HP neighborhood of LA.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are very few tables and seats out front and rear shaded area where you can enjoy and relax with your coffee.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I perused their modest menu; they have all the basic coffee and tea drinks as well as signatures. Moreover, they sell coffee bags. Staff were diligent, affable and competent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Street parking only. Overall, I enjoyed my Cold Brew. And I cannot wait to try their hot drinks.

Wow!! Coffee was delicious. Great customer service, answered all of our questions. The vanilla bean latte is great, with syrup made in house. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a small seating area along the side of the building with a bathroom for customers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Street parking around the area.

This establishment is conveniently located down the street ,from my sister's house.[[HIGHLIGHT]]I really like the look of the cafe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]I ordered the iced rose cardamom latte.It was was so good!It had little petals of roses on top of it.I also got a little Armenian cookie.It was of orange flavor.Again really good!I really like that this cafe doesn't have your normal flavors.Very unique and great tasting!The customer service is good as well!The associate there was very nice and informative.I will definitely be back!

Coffee here is good. My sibling got a rose cardamom latte, it was pretty subtle but a nice additional flavor. The barista was super nice (didn't spit on me or yell at me idk my bar for service is low but also he was friendly so this is a tangent) No indoor seating and limited outdoor. Ambiance so superb though the flowers and design is fun. Also seemed like a lot of people just hung out and talked with each other which is nice (I did not talk to them besides saying excuse me to try to use the bathroom) one bathroom available but someone was in it so I ended up going across the street to food4less. Shout out food4less' toilet woooo There is street parking all around I'm not sure about any designated parking for this place

The coffee shop is located on a main street and there is some street parking available. Their iced Mocha has a lot of flavor but it doesn't taste too sweet. As far as food options is mostly pastries that I've seen available when I've gone. It's a nice chill place to enjoy some coffee and relax.

Great coffee! I got the pumpkin spice and it was slightly sweet, with pumpkin taste that was not overbearing. The pumpkin even tasted a bit more in the natural side. The barista was super nice and answered all my questions. There a little outdoor seating section to the side that is very cute, but if it's busy I would recommend just grabbing and going One of my fav spots around town!

I have been meaning to try this place ever since it's opening and FINALLY got the chance to pop over and oh my goodness am I so glad to have. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute coffee spot with the most beautiful artwork decorating the outside (you can't miss it unless you're trying to).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful outdoor patio seating with the most fragrant and visually stunning passion fruit blossoms lining the space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have the sweetest tooth for coffee while my husband cringes at any sugar touching his cup so I was a little hesitant to see which one of our pallets this would cater too. Well I shouldn't have been worried because the barista heard our preferences and recommended the most perfect drinks for each of our tastes. My husbands coffee came with a little informational card that you can scan and order the beans to make at home (which yes we did). Super quick service and incrediblly friendly staff made the whole experience even better. Vibes 10/10 Aesthetic 10/10 Service 10/10 Drinks 10/10 All around phenomenal experience and will be coming back (very soon)

This is the US outpost of an Armenian coffee shop, constructed in the corner of a trendy new development home to women's fast fashion company Dolls Kill and various stores catering to a very new kind of Highland Park resident. You'll see lots of strollers, dogs, and young people immersed in their phones. The coffee is fine. I recommend their flash brew coffee, which is basically a light roast pour over served in a cute little carafe with ice. I am normally a batch brew person, but they don't offer it. Instead they have individual pour overs for $7 -- let's fix that please! The pastries are so-so, influencer photo-ready at best. The croissant is too lightweight and turned to crumbs. They have Armenian pastries called nazook. I have had the apricot nazook and it is very, very sweet -- the kind of too-sweet that makes you wince. I live really close to it, so that's why I continue to go, but it is not my #1 choice for coffee in Highland Park -- but that could change if they served better pastries and offered batch brew. read more

Being a coffee lover and in search of my new fav coffee shop, decided to try this place... ANDdddd It's not for me!!... why, no drip coffee, just a 7 dollar pour over... possibly the most expensive pour over I've had so far... so congrats on this achievement, Lumen lol... Pour over, just like an americano wasn't as hot as a good cup of coffee should be, and a bit small for 7 dollars... My wife ordered the fredo expresso, and she wasn't a fan of the coffee eighter, mentiond it was OK... 5.50 for a small cup... (not worth 5.50)... what's up with the price?!... bcuz it's Highland Park... Anyway, parking lots close by, street parking Staff were nice, no issues... Very small patio, and it looks bigger on social media, really!!... music in the background... Won't go back to this place... just not up to par to my taste buds When you go... enjoy!!... read more

What a beautiful and delicious spot! I came by here for my Instagram account, and was delighted at how everything tasted and looked! The building is beautiful with just outdoor seating but a nice patio. I was worried that because it was outside they would not have a bathroom, but they do around the corner of the patio.this was honestly the best almond croissant I've ever had in my life! The guy working there was super nice and efficient. Definitely stop by on our way to the park! read more

I stopped by on a Sunday morning before yoga to grab a quick caffeine fix. I got the matcha latte and it was good and not too strong. The worker mixed it up really well and I liked that my cup wasn't overflowing. I like a little space in between the brim of my cup so it does not leak or spill while I'm driving. Service was great. Perfect for a quick grab and go. I will be back to try their pastries! Parking is street only; just loop around and eventually the space in front will open up read more

I come here just about everyday for my mid-day coffee fix. Really cool and chill lil spot on in Highland park. The coffee is on point! And all the baristas are really friendly and can answer all your coffee questions. They have a nice lil seating area too. The building itself is a work of art! Stumbled across this coffee shop while driving down Highland Park and literally had to turn around and stop by! This has by far been the coolest looking coffee shop I've been to! The reflective tiles with the cute characters on it are so cute and fun! I ordered an iced latte which was pretty good! Loved how they have lots of outdoor seating that's covered by shade! I was able to sit and enjoy my pastry and coffee for a bit :) It is on a busy street, but I was lucky to find parking right out front! read more

Absolutely loved this little spot! The staff was super kind and even came out to ask others to confirm their order so they didn't make it incorrectly. The espresso was amazing, much better than many others. There was shaded seating beside the building with tables and even a bathroom you can use, just ask for the key. Parking is street parking but not too bad and there's a plaza across the street you may be able to park at. read more

Unique grab n go coffee shop with w small but modern footprint. Excellent coffee! Great addition to the neighborhood, and it's nice to have a walkable option without a long wait. Definitely come in the early morning hours since they have limited pastries each day. Love the tiny side patio, with bench seating among the plants - great for a quick sit n sip with a friend, or solo. Free parking is available on parts of Figueroa (below Ave 50). read more

This place is always a hit. The espresso leaves you wanting to come back every single day. Recently brought a friend with me and we both had a flat white. It came with a tiny cup of simple soda water. Just to cleans the pallet and really help you experience the different notes of the espresso. The two guys working there are always kind and love to explain what kind of beans they have and what flavors you might notice. Service is pretty fast. By far the most comforting cup of espresso or latte that you can have in town. read more

Found this place on IG and had to put it on Yelp to review. This place is so good. One of the best matcha lattes I've had in a long time. You order through a small window off of Figueroa, the pick up window is around the corner where there is a small seating area with a few tables. They also have a few tables set up in the front. The guy who took our order was super nice. Although Figueroa is a busy street we sat outside in the seating area and able to have a conversation without even noticing the car traffic. I definitely recommend this place. read more

If you're a coffee shop lover, this spot is a great place to check out. The coffee is top quality and curated by people who really know their stuff. The Salted Caramel Latte highlighted the essence of the roast rather than overwhelm it with sugar which is what you usually get when you order a drink like that. I was surprised they had a good amount of seating with lots of umbrellas for shade! Gotta time my next visit there with the ripening of all the passion fruits growing alongside the shop for a tasty summer treat. read more

Great little coffee shop. Service was kind and friendly, and the coffee was great. Not sure if they're a multi-roaster, but it looked like they were using Sterling Coffee, which is cool. The shot of espresso was sweet, fruity, and finished strong. They also have a small seating area on the side of the coffee shop, which is peaceful and pretty. read more

After Loop espresso bar closed in Eagle Rock, we've been looking for another great vanilla latte and Lumen coffee is it! Their espresso blend is perfect for a nice iced or hot latte. We've been there a few times and despite different baristas, the lattes were on par with the previous one. Lastly, while I wouldn't recommend for working or studying due the limited/no indoor seating, the outdoor seating is the perfect vibe for a quick coffee break if you're on the go! read more

I was so excited to try this coffee shop, but unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I've been to countless coffee shops, so when someone tries to blame the bad coffee on the fact that we asked for a latte, I'm not fooled. 95% of the cup was milk and 5% was coffee. He said we could ask for an extra shot however he made coffee with 2 shots for the person right before us and it still was 95% milk. It seems like this is how they make their coffee here. It felt like I was drinking milk. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

Really pleasant. I gasped when I saw the $7 pour over but the rest of the prices were consistent with the neighborhood. Great espresso drinks (no drip available). Small selection of baked goods/pastries because... it's a small place. Quality over quantity. Spartan. Stripped down. Streamlined. The limited seating in the side yard is surprisingly zen. You can tell they put a lot of care into both the coffee and the overall experience. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions or offer recommendations, which makes trying something new even more enjoyable. When you're surrounded by so many great coffee options, it's not easy to separate yourself from the competition. Highly sophisticated and quality driven, Loquat offers exceptional coffee in every cup. The interior is minimal and clean, though seating space is very limited, as the space is quite small. There is a small counter that seats 4 people and a bench seat along the window that fits maybe 3 more? There are outdoor patio seats that can fit up to 3-4 small groups. The guest capacity can quickly get full. Plus, the shop is usually very busy in the AM. You can expect it to be emptier in the noon though. What I love about this shop can be a bit of bias. I enjoy light roast, single origin coffee, and this place is a perfect spot for it. Loquat usually has at least one or two rare coffee offering like Gesha and processing such as anaerobic fermentation. I always like the presentation of the drinks that are being served, and Loquat has one of the exceptional ones for their espresso. It comes in a mini chilled glass and a 'bougie' tiny spoon. Their signature beverage is the Mascarpone Latte, which is a shot of espresso with muscovado milk, topped with a thick, cloud of house made mascarpone cheese foam. Delicious! As for the parking, it is all street and neighborhood parking. The shop is situated on the corner of the Main Street and a neighborhood road. Usually, you would probably have to expect a bit of distance when looking for parking. It gets little challenging. But the place around it isn't nearly as crowded. It was decorated with orange citrus and the other one had black sesame seeds sprinkled across the top. It was quite delicious. Their breakfast sandwich was chef's kiss - it reminded me of a good sandwich my mom made me as a kid. It had a runny yolk, toasted bread, some melted cheese, and tomatoes in it. This place gave me such warm emotions inside and just made it feel like home. I understood why every table and seat had a person in it. If you love coffee as much as I do, this has to be on your to-do list when visiting LA.

Stopped by Lumen Coffee in Highland Park recently and really enjoyed it. I ordered their salted caramel latte, and honestly, it was great, especially coming from someone who's not big on super sweet drinks. I asked for it half sweet, and they nailed it. Really nice balance, smooth, and not overpowering at all. You could actually taste the coffee, which I always appreciate. The shop itself has a cool, low-key vibe. I almost missed it at first since it's kind of tucked away and easy to overlook, but I'm glad I didn't.
