This is my go to spot every time I get my haircut down the block. I'm here every two weeks. Coffee here is solid. I've had cold brews and lattes mostly but they are a good balance of flavors, and I love the simplicity of the menu. Customer service is awesome. Despite only being here every two weeks, they manage to remember my name. Impressive! There is a good amount of counter seating along the windows and 3 tables (one 4 seater, 2 - 2 seaters). I've been here to do some work and studying before on random afternoons. The one challenge is at peak times, parking is tougher. They do have a lot but it can fill quickly. Date: September 17, 2025 Our mom group was playing at a park in the area and decided to get some fuel first. Walked over to 1802 roasters and couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's a small store but does have two tables and some chairs for indoor seating. They do have a restroom so always a plus. The ladies were all super friendly and so kind. Complimented my babies and that's the best compliment to a mother. Ordered a matcha latte with whole milk and its sweetened with agave. Which was perfectly sweetened! Loved my whole drink! Bagels are great, but the customer service is consistently poor. They regularly over-toast my bagel despite asking for it to be lightly toasted. Service is extremely slow, even with 2-3 workers and very little to no customers present; they don't really seem to be concerned with expediency. Their lattes are inconsistent and often taste like plain milk, which is unfortunate because they are very good when made correctly. To top it off, their cream cheese portions have become very conservative lately--barely enough to spread across the bagel. As much as I appreciate the quality of product, when made correctly, their inconsistency and carelessness overshadow it. For the prices, I definitely expect better service and attention to detail. This is a pretty chill coffee shop in Cypress Park. It seems popular as it's always busy with people coming and going, waiting in line to order. It can be difficult to find a place to sit at the tables or along the workbench. However, I managed to find a spot both times I've visited. The stool seats at the wall workbench are surprisingly comfortable, and they have a few outlets to plug in your devices. I've enjoyed their espresso tonic. They also have a seasonal espresso cola (cola soda instead of tonic water) that I plan on trying. It's fun to peruse their creative drink menu! It seems they no longer offer pastries, but have bagels instead. I tried their calamansi bagel. The cream cheese was yummy; the bagel was tougher or chewier than what I prefer. Overall, a reliable place for coffee and bagels while reading, getting some work done, or catching up with friends. Their menu had so many options for drinks whether you like coffee or not. Their bagel options were also plentiful. They had an interesting ube cream cheese which sounded so good. I got the seasonal black sesame latte which was amazing and I highly recommend. It comes standard with some oat milk which was nice! I also got the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. The bagel was not the best because the onion part fell EVERYWHERE and cream cheese amount wasn't the best. The only think that was kinda off was the service. The people who work there seemed a little displeased with everything. Even the older man that had ordered after me got a not so happy attitude from the barista. Situated in a very limited strip of new shops of a gentrified street in Cypress Park, this café is an interesting aspect of the changing face of this area. I grew up around the corner, and for the most part it's still a working class Latino community, with some younger faces who have moved in and bought property in the area. That being said, their coffee is pretty decent. I ordered a spice chai latte iced and tasted pretty much like how a latte would taste. Bagels were very good but I'm not sure I would drive all the way back for it specifically. I felt a little judged when I had stepped in. In fact, it took the barista about a couple of seconds after I had spoken to her in English for her to greet me. And I only spoke to her because she had been staring straight at me as I stood in front of the counter. No one else was in line at the time. I sat at the long bar by the window and enjoyed the natural sunlight. Baristas are nice. I saw one had to unfortunately deal with a rude customer but she was very professional about it. I drive past this every day on the way to work and home and didn't realize what a little gem this place is. I've only been in twice now, both times they've been busy even though it doesn't look busy so I think they get a lot of foot traffic from locals. I was blown away by the quality of their coffee. This is the real deal. I can't say I'm a coffee connoisseur, but I'm picky. This is what coffee should taste like this is how Starbucks used to taste like before they went all fast food processing their drinks and I know saying Starbucks even in the same conversation as this place is taboo Ha Ha. I took a chance and bought a bag of decaf beans Just by the experience I had and I'm blown away. It was a little pricey, but isn't even in the same universe as Starbucks bag beans or K cups the taste is absolutely lovely. This is truly you get what you pay for. I'm sure this is what coffee is supposed to taste like if you're drinking real coffee well worth the price and far exceeds the value of what I'm throwing away when I was going to Starbucks money wise. BUY A BAG you won't be disappointed. I recommend getting drinks from the refrigerator section right when you walk in the door, purple bagel were lovely, I haven't tried the sandwiches that they make yet but I grabbed a bag of chips. I've had an Americano and a latte and a couple kombucha drinks and now the decaf bag of beans. Everything has been top-notch and they are super nice and welcoming. I tried another specialty coffee place that's within 4 miles of this place and they were a little too snooty for me. This is my first time back to this coffee shop since they first opened in 2020 during COVID. I remember getting their coffee from a drive through! Anyways - I walked in and this place was beautiful! A simple clean aesthetic, just the way I like it. The first time I came here, I actually did not like the cold brew but today the cold brew was amazing. It was smooth with no acidity. What got my attention was their bagel selection (Saint Raf Bagel). I came here at around 8:30AM and all the bagels were fresh. I recommend that you come in between opening and 9:00AM for the hot bagels! I got a simple Onion Bagel with their Scallion Cream Cheese. The outside was crunchy while the inside was fluffy. I am excited to come back to try their Calamsi Shmear and their Kinako Brown Sugar Shmear! I will be honest - I think these bagels are just as a good, if not better, than Belles Bagels and Courage Bagels (minus the everything burnt bagel). If you are looking for coffee and bagels, then this is the place to go. It's not only way too strong to the point of being unpleasant to drink, it also has a strange flavor and after taste. I went home and added simple syrup and milk. Didn't help so I just threw it away. A waste of money. And my partner's iced latte also had an odd flavor to it that he didn't enjoy either. We basically just flushed $14 down the drain. read more

This is one of the best bagels I've had in LA (at least tied with Courage, but they're very different styles) and it's in a much more pleasant and relaxing setting. Parking is easy, seating is ample and low pressure (someone was literally asleep in a counter seat and no one was pressuring them), and I took a few work meetings in there without bothering anyone. I ordered the whitefish bagel, which came so overstuffed I had to eat it as though it was open face. No complaints here. No microscopic schmear here. The matcha tonic was also surprisingly wonderful and refreshing. I'm a sucker for anything with tonic water, and adding citrus syrup just made it more like a summery drink that just happened to have the grassiness (and caffeine hit) of matcha. read more

Delicious coffee here and great, friendly service. We've only tried the 1802 cold brew with Filipino chocolate and the Coconut Chocolate Brew so far. They are both amazing and not too sweet. COVID- they have a drive thru set up outside for Covid and some outdoor distanced seating. On the weekends they have Tagalog Takeover, a Filipino pop up in the back with added outdoor seating.
