One of my favorite cafes! It's a great place for casual chats but not for working because of the lack of outlets and space. The interior and vibe of the place is very charming and clean. It's usually VERY BUSY ( even on weekdays ) and it's hard to find a table! You might need to stand around and scope out for a seat for a bit. If you do get the chance, it is a better experience to get your drink with their ceramics! The plating and presentation is beautiful. I've now had a couple of cortados here, and they've been noticeably different experiences. My previous drink was much better, balanced, well-textured, and one of the reasons I wanted to come back. This most recent cortado, however, wasn't quite at the same level. The espresso leaned noticeably bitter from the first sip through the finish, and it was served a bit hotter than ideal, which made it harder to pick up sweetness and clarity in the cup. The milk texture was decent, but not quite as polished as my previous visit. That said, this is still a very cool coffee shop. The space is inviting, the presentation is thoughtful, and it's the kind of place you can easily spend time hanging out in. The biggest issue is consistency rather than capability. When everything is dialed in, they can produce a genuinely good cortado. I'd definitely come back, but I'd love to see a little more consistency from cup to cup. read more

The minimalistic décor features brick lined walls and a concrete coffee bar that emits an industrial edge. The lofty ceilings, natural wood, & retractable windows add to the charm. The openness of the indoor-outdoor aesthetic is perfect for warm sunny days. You can bask in the sun in one of the windowsills or outside tables or lounge in one of the big leather sofas or sit at a table inside. There are many seating options available. The beverage menu is simple, featuring ceremonial matcha and quality coffee drinks that are expertly prepared in an impressive looking espresso machine that costs $20,000, which is a worthy investment. I like that they offer organic oat & almond milk at no extra charge. I ordered a cortado and was impressed when it was brought to my table on a metal tray with a side of tonic water, sugar cubes, and a little biscotti. (A personal touch to enhance the overall customer experience.) I've never had a cortado served this way. Every sip was perfect, and I enjoyed the palate cleanser of tonic water in between. The biscotti was also tasty. My coffee date and I had the best seats in the house. I absolutely loved seeing the parade of doggies walking by me. COMET OVER DELPHI is a whole vibe. Let's start with the coffee. Ordered their MAGIC which was a ristretto cortado. So it was creamy and strong. Yum! The roast they used was great for the cortado. They use their own beans. They must have used dark roast for their LATTE because it didn't taste "milked-down". Now on to the space. The giant glass windows and door at the front set the mood for the space. The inside is even bigger than the front windows suggested. Lots of chairs and tables inside. People are allowed to park their electronics and work so it will be difficult to find an available space. Families and friends looking to hang and catch up are also plentiful. BOOKS are also on the menu. The books selections on the shelves are interesting. The "electronics" like speakers and music players are "vintage". I thought the price ($12) was a bit expensive, and unfortunately the quality didn't really match the price. They don't sweeten their matcha, which I like because it lets you taste the matcha itself, but the matcha itself tasted bland to me. I also didn't see them whisk it, so I assumed it may have been pre-made, which I understand many cafes do to save time. However, for something advertised as "high-quality" matcha, I was surprised that there were so many clumps left at the bottom of my drink. My fiancé ordered the coconut matcha, which I enjoyed a little more than the one I got, but it wasn't particularly memorable either. What an absolutely aesthetic cafe! I came here after seeing hype on multiple social media platforms. I went on a Thursday afternoon and it was packed! I couldn't get a table and because of that, I opted to take the coffee to-go. I got the cold brew and only expected to walk out with that, but after seeing the pastry cabinet, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try their apricot monkey bread. Anyways, COD has the standard pasties and an array of coffee and tea drinks, along with fun options like an orange cold brew, espresso soda, hot chocolate and matcha. It's very spacious, naturally well lit, and has an industrial-looking design with huge windows, brick walls, and exposed metal/wood ceiling. Moreover, their white colored walls were brilliant and pleasing to the eyes. Today, we came on a warm late afternoon to quench ourselves with a cold drink. I ordered their Orange Cold Brew. It was refreshing albeit less smooth and a bit strong despite having milk poured in. What captivated my eyes was the $30G Aremde espresso-coffee machine they use. You know they take it seriously. Furthermore, their staff were very cordial, respectful and professional. Atmosphere was quite relaxing with comfortable couch and chairs. Prices were honestly higher than most coffee shops. Absolutely loved my first visit of Comet. Had it on my list of places to visit. Came really early on a Saturday that I had to work in the office and so thankful, really enjoyed the experience. Greasy staff, really helped me lock in on what I should order based on my preferences. The barista was very skilled, as both drinks were executed very well. The Magic was well balanced, sorta like a cappuccino but in a cortado size. And the Americano was super solid. No frills on the menu but it's definitely a great place for anyone who cares about the coffee over all other things. It was a nice touch to have been served a platter with sugar and a biscotti. Nothing too pretentious, not a try hard, no furniture that looks like it's obviously Temu, all tasteful. I had two drinks- cold brew was great, nothing crazy flavorful or funky but still sensible and balanced. The matcha I had was small (and I was told that beforehand, so it was fine), and it was made well, contrary to some earlier reviews here. Good consistency and I got the bold flavor that I was looking for in that type of matcha; but if you don't want matcha, they have a few espresso soda drinks and other coffee options too. Service was also polite, brought my drinks to me, gave me a complimentary cookie! Stopped by Comet Over Delphi to check out their reserve matcha latte. Compared to their regular matcha latte, this one uses one of their private selection matcha powders. I enjoyed the strong matcha flavors with an earthy, nutty profile. It was very well mixed with the milk. The pairing with the orange-y chocolate biscuit was helpful to balance out the earthiness and bitterness of the matcha. While this was a delicious drink, I've had similar quality matcha lattes that are cheaper in both LA and NYC. Their cheddar and chive scone was pretty standard. I wish it was heated up a little bit more to really soften the inside and crisp up the outer layers. Either way, the cheese and chive flavors came through. The minimalistic coffee shop is aesthetically pleasing and has a calm, serene feel. I love the different seating options from table, high top, couch, to windows ledge/sill. I did find it odd they had multiple copies of coffee table books but not sure if they were actually for sale or if it was just for decor.
