After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end. Where things started to slip was on the pickup side. I was told the car was ready, but still ended up waiting about 30-40 minutes before actually getting it. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

I got my last car tinted here and the tint held up beautifully. Since I had such a good experience…read morelast time, I decided to get my new car tinted here (Miramar location). The car is brand new and when the dealership was detailing the car for me to take home, they must have sprayed Armor All haphazardly on the back seats and got it on my back window. The guys at Tint World had to reapply the tint on the back window twice, for a total of three times before the tint wouldn't come away from the glass around the edges. After some automotive degreaser and patience, 3rd time's a charm! I really appreciate how accommodating and persistent Jimmy and the guys were with making sure I left with an awesome tint job with no problems. Mine was a unique problem that they found the answer to instead of just saying, "sorry, we don't know how to fix it," and sending me on my way. I would definitely recommend Jimmy and Tint World to those who want a great tint job that will withstand the test of time and top tier customer service. Also, keep Armor All away from your windows!

So they saved my wallet and saved me from a migraine. I went to the other tint world in El Cajon…read moreand they ripped the top part of my windshield tint. I had an appointment to fix it and they kept moving me. Evidently they ended up closing the shop. So I contacted Tint world Miramar and they were gonna end up charging me the whole price to re-do the windshield tint, but when I explained the situation they realized they needed to fix what had happened. They didn't charge me a cent and redid the whole thing and made it darker with no charge. Definitely going to come back again and finish tinting the whole car. It looks amazing and I'm glad they heard me out and gave me exquisite customer service.
