First of all, it was so happy to see that they had some same day appointment availability! Why that may not always be the case, some booking systems will still only show starting next day. I also loved that their menu had a lot of options, including more than one type of Brazilian to book. When I showed up to my appointment, I checked in and filled out some basic, new client information. I was then taken to my room with my waxer promptly after. They use hard wax here which many people prefer, but for me hurts the most. But I don't really care what is used as long as they're hygienic, quick, effective and will not spawn in-grown hairs. My waxer was quick, thorough and one week out...things are still looking good! As a bonus, first time clients got a significant discount which made me even happier about my experience. While my experience before check out was already excellent, that was just icing on the cake. Overall, I left very impressed and will definitely return again in the future!

On a train ride into the city for a long 2 day work trip, I decided a facial would be a great way to get some R&R. I surfed the web for something I could get (same day) and stumbled upon Lumiere Esthetic Studio. It was by far one of the BEST facials I have ever received and I highly recommend trying it out, even if it's just once. Lana was so professional, knowledgeable and explained her process every step of the way. I had never met this women in my life, yet I felt so comfortable and at ease. Days after the facial my skin was so smooth and glowing. Overall this was a fantastic experience, from the products used to the service received, I will be back!! Let me first of all say Lana is AMAZING!! I was new to the city and naturally went to Bliss spa to get the upscale experience. Needless to say I wasn't satisfied and found Lana by random while she was working under another company. I was searching on yelp and saw amazing reviews for Lana and decided to go. Finding her was the best thing that ever happened to me! She is amazing for waxing and facials. She is so gentle with her waxing technique and makes sure you are comfortable/relaxed throughout the waxing process. Her facials are so amazing and will leave you glowing. And I am giving stars because the owner did reply to my text when I was worried and tried to provide advice, although it wasn't helpful in my case. The microcurrent felt very strong and my skin jerked, so I addressed this in the beginning of our session. I trusted that she'd know best, however, and let her do the rest. I had burning, swollen and irritated skin for the following 8 days after the service. I put soothing masks, aloe, whatever natural products I could use, but to no avail. It was as if my skin got a burn. It was bumpy, rough, and swollen. I have no allergies to the products used. I had peeling skin for the next 8 days. My bottom half of the face (where she began the microcurrent facial service) burnt and hurt whenever I put moisturizer on for a week. Her other services may be fine, but I don't think I will return unfortunately. This never happened with my other facials. My skin is almost back to normal now, but it's been a very stressful way to spend the holidays.
