Sofia performed a miracle!! I knew coming in with partially dyed and mostly black hair that to go blonde would be a big ask. At first Sofia couldn't make a guarantee that we could go for the blonde reference picture due to the possibility of my hair breaking and the previous color staining my hair. Maddy works her magic on my hair! My hair was damaged from previous bad color from other salon. She explained on what is possible for me at the moment due to the damage on my hair. We set up a plan or we call it "hair journey" together to eventually take me to my hair goal. I thought it will take me 10 visits, 2 years period of time for me to be able to get there, but surprisingly, it took me only 4 months and 3 visits for her to get me to my lovely blonde and achieve my desire hair color. They only use the best products for your hair, not a cheap stuff unlike the other salon. I bought all of recommended products and it's proven because my hair is not damaged anymore. Price is fair and actually more affordable than other salon in Alpharetta area especially comparing with the skill level they have. This is my first time going to a salon to do such a big hair transformation. I went from Black box hair dye to dirty blonde and most girls know that is a hard thing to do. Kelly did awesome and she kept integrity of my hair as well as got it to the beautiful light color that I wanted it to be. Hi! I unfortunately did not have the best experience at this salon. I was getting a blow-out and style for my sister's wedding that was later that night, and at first, the appointment started 10 minutes after my initial appointment time (which is hard when you have an event to make later that day!). The person at the front desk was also not the friendliest when I asked her about the delay. The reason I am giving the salon two stars instead of one star is because my stylist Kelly was just incredibly nice and awesome to work with. However, my style (curls) lasted for maybe 10 minutes, so I feel like I wasted money on the blow-out (and my hair typically holds curls). I was especially disappointed because it was my sister's wedding, and my hair did not look how I expected it to. I may return to the salon to get a hair-cut but not styling. read more

The salon is decorated very modern and has great lighting, hence the name Lumiere. They have a great group of stylists that all had great hair. Ivy did my hair and nailed it! She was able to do exactly what I wanted. I tend to do the same thing all the time (highlights) so Ivy's confidence that I would love my new color was very reassuring. I also followed up by calling the salon and asking if I booked for the right service since I didn't know how to categorize it, and the desk receptionist read my mind and fixed it right up. I got my hair balayaged at a different salon and was very unhappy with the results so I called Lumiere. I spoke with Madellin and she was very kind and worked to get me in as soon as possible. She asked for photos of my hair and photos of what I was hoping it to look like. The day I came in she made me feel very welcome and made great conversation. After coloring my hair she started to dry it and I had told her I wanted it lighter. She told me no problem and fixed it more to my liking. I was so happy with the results. Had my hair done here a few weeks ago. My hair had no color to it so I decided I wanted to lighten it a bit. The experience at the salon was great and staff was friendly. When I initially saw my results I was satisfied but upon further inspection I notice my hair wasn't blended very well at the roots. I was well overdue for a haircut and wanted to find a salon that wasn't ridiculously expensive. After reading reviews here I decided to book an appointment with Rose. They do tier pricing so the cost depends on the level of stylist. They start at $38 for a haircut which is very good for the area. I was going for a pretty drastic change. My hair was long thick, wavy and brown. I was cutting it in a short inverted bob with layers. Rose did an amazing job. She listened to my concerns and looked at the photos I had found on Pinterest. During the hair wash the chairs give you a gentle massage. Rose gave me a nice relaxing head massage as well. We had a nice conversation during the cut. Rose is wonderful stylist. I highly recommend this salon for those looking for a reasonably priced salon in Alpharetta. I've already booked my next appointment with Rose. read more

Exceptional service. Wonderful staff. I made my first visit into Lumière this past Saturday and I was absolutely blown away. At first impression, the salon itself is beautiful & located in a great area that's easily accessible with lots of parking. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the receptionist as well as my stylist. I booked with the beautiful, kind-hearted, Ms. Kelly, for a much overdue trim. I filled out a brief client profile and was asked if I wanted anything to drink. I've had the most difficult time finding a stylist that was able to cut my hair the way I wanted. I'm sure most of you can relate on the fact that putting your trust into a stylist to cut your hair is a very big deal. I haven't been able to trust any stylists lately, but after just one visit, Kelly has all my trust! Since I was a new client of hers, she told me that she booked me out a little longer than she would for just a cut. Which goes to show that she genuinely cares and wants to be able to provide the best service as possible. She suggested that we do a deep conditioning mask, which I was all for! I purchased the treatment & then she used that on me during my shampooing. She specifically asked how much I wanted to cut off & exactly how I wanted it cut. Needless to say, she delivered exactly as I asked. The shampooing chairs double up as reclining massage chairs! Which is perfect since I love being able to relax even more while being pampered! Lumière uses Oribe products. They smell so good & work so well! The conditioning mask I mentioned left my hair so incredibly soft & smooth. Mind you, I'm a blonde so it's extremely hard to have soft & smooth! Nonetheless, I 100% recommend this salon. Make sure you book with Kelly for all your salon needs! read more

My hair is healthy and looks incredible! We have changed the blonde tones throughout the year (by my request) and every time, she nails it! She is as beautiful on the inside as she is the out and is such a breath of fresh air! If you're nervous to try a new stylist, you can put those fears aside with Amber! Good Haircut, Bad Attitude - Tia Good: I have been to this place 3 times. The place is clean and well maintained. And yeah the hairstyles do a decent job of cutting your hair. Bad: Though this place provides good haircuts, the attitude of some of the hairstyles is terrible. Not only that, but also, 1. Front Desk & Reservations: Make sure you get a text about the time you have your reservation. Or the front desk staff will try to prove you incorrect with your own appointment time. I have experienced front desk staff manipulating your appointment time just because they tried to accommodate other people around the same time as yours. When I started with them, I had asked for an expert hairstylist (priced higher than beginner or mid level ones), but they gave me a someone who is a beginner - Tia. Also, while working on me, she would go work on other appointments and assign me to other floor girls to finish blow drying and setting up my hair, which is unacceptable or the amount of $$$ I pay for my haircut and root touch-up..!! 2.Haircuts: My hairstylist Tia, has a very bad attitude. during my 3 visits with her, i never saw her smiling or greeting me warmly or enjoying her doing my hair. Also, she told me that I have so much hair, she gets all sweaty while blow drying them..!! I thought that's the job she has signed up for..!! Also, while working on me, she would go work on other clients and assign me to the floor girls to finish blow drying and setting up my hair. The girl could not even do it as you can tell from experience. This is totally unacceptable for the amount of $$$ I pay for my haircut and root touch-ups. 3. Pricing: I went for cut and root touch-up all 3 times & they charged me different amount all 3 times. 2nd time when I questioned them about the breakdown, they said they didn't have one. Third time, they charged me more than 2nd time and gave me breakdown of $50 for cut + $70 for root touch-ups + whatever gratuity you add (nearly $150). When you pay so much money on your hair appointment, you pay for the whole experience - Hair Work + Attitude + No Manipulation. This place has failed me repeatedly and I have decided not to go there ever again..!! I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had decided to take a leap of faith and give this salon a try, with hopes that it would become my new go-to salon. I was led to believe that I was in good hands when I sat down in the chair and began describing and providing pictures of what I was looking to do to my hair color. I have worked in salons over the years and have been getting my hair done by a professional stylist for over 15 years...I am not a naive client that expects miracles nor do I ever have unattainable requests. I know what can be achieved with my hair when it comes to color, cuts and styling. After the stylist had completed the foils and rinsed/washed my hair, I sat back down in the chair. Although my hair was wet at that point...which makes it more difficult to see what the exact color and technique (highlights, foils, etc.) would end up looking like, I was a bit nervous about what I could see. It was not looking like the shades that the stylist and I had discussed and agreed upon in our consult at the beginning of the appointment. I decided to be patient and wait until my hair was dried and styled as I didn't want to jump the gun. Well, needless to say, I regret not speaking up when I had first noticed that it didn't look right. I am not going to lie and say that my hair was ruined, because that's not true... BUT...it was definitely not even close to the examples that I had showed her. The shade of color that we had agreed upon in the beginning of my appointment was NOT the shade that the stylist had put on my hair. It was understood that the she shade I was wanting was a warm blonde; something bright and light blonde but on the warmer, honey colored side...in other words, not ashy, not orange, and not white blonde. Well, what it came out as was a dull, light brown with absolutely no dimension. Not only that, but we had discussed (in depth) what color and shade that I was wanting my root shadow to be. It was supposed to be a dark blonde. My roots had somewhat grown out before this appointment, so when we discussed the root shadow in the consultation, I specifically told the stylist that I would like the root shadow to be a shade darker than the natural color on my roots and even had the picture to reference the root color I was wanting. I also was very clear with her about the length that I wanted my root shadow to cover. The stylist seemed very confident in her ability to provide what I was looking for. She even had me under the impression that this would be very simple to achieve (which it should've been!) Unsurprisingly and much to my disappointment, my roots came out to be a "mousey" brown that almost completely matched the color that the rest of my hair turned out to be. I decided to speak up, albeit politely. I explained that it looked nice (it didn't) but it didn't look similar to what we had discussed. The stylist then told me that it would take a few appointments to achieve the color and shades that I was looking for. I am not clueless...I know with 100% certainty that I was being lied to and mislead and that this was something that was very easy to achieve in one appointment, especially given the fact that my hair color when I arrived was already very close to the color that I wanted. It was at that point that I decided I was never coming back to this salon and this stylist again. I also decided not to press the issue any further and that I didn't even trust this stylist to correct it. I bit my tongue and paid for the services, which, by the way, ended up costing me OVER $250.00. A month later, I ended up going to a different salon and seeing a stylist that had been doing my SIL's hair for years. When I explained this whole situation to the new stylist and provided the pictures that I had used, the stylists reaction was very validating. She was just as dumbfounded as I was. The only reason that she could come up with as to what had happened was that the person I saw must've been very inexperienced. Needless to say, please be very cautious of who you allow to touch your hair. When making your appointment, be sure to ask how much experience that the stylist you are choosing has. Each salon has different ways of setting their stylists prices. A stylist could be a mid-level to top-level stylist (which costs more money) but it isn't necessarily because of their talent. It could be because of the years they've been at the salon, it could be because of the certifications that a stylist has acquired, etc. Please, for your sake, be thorough and ask the questions that you need to ask In order to know not only what you can expect to pay but also who you're trusting to touch your hair. You should also try to find reviews and perhaps even ask for/look for examples of the stylists past work. Most stylists these days have a social media profile that acts as a sort of portfolio as well as a way to bring new clients in... so it shouldn't be too difficult to find some examples of their work. read more
