I came in here on a whim on Thursday June 10th 2025 right around noon. I wasn't planning on eating here I had just met up here with someone to purchase something off FB marketplace, since I was in the parking lot I decided to go in and get some lunch and I'm glad I did. On first impression coming in I felt like I went back in time to an old cafeteria for senior citizens, and it is kind of that way but it's open and airy with plenty of good booth seating. The music is depressing as it's all old mostly from the 70's stuff, which is ok but I don't like crying over my food usually! Bit of a joke there so don't get upset if you love it! The good news is the food is actually pretty good! Usually these types of restaurants actually do cater to the local elderly crowd and so sometimes the food is understandably bland but not so much this time. I was seated instantly (apparently seat yourself) and was greeted immediately by Kelci,, a great server with a very pleasant and beautiful smile and a very professional and efficient demeanor. I ordered the grilled catfish with mashed potatoes and green beans. The catfish was surprisingly good with a nice flavor (even though the filet was almost tiny, luckily I wasn't too hungry, it still tasted good and the tartar sauce is came with was perfect). The sides I had were mashed potato's (again, nice flavor but no gravy) and the green beans were pretty fresh even though probably from a can, and those were pretty bland. Funny thing is there were no bread options for the meal but it was lunchtime so maybe that's why? They also have a large selection of desserts which Kelci helped me pick through. I got a slice of German chocolate cake which was huge and delicious, I couldn't finish it. Also the tea is good old southern tea, I had the half and half because it's pretty sweet but that's the way it's supposed to be! Overall the place was very clean and smelled nice. There's ample parking outside and the location is convenient. I will probably come back when in the area but won't make a drive from where I live in Cartersville just to eat here. So overall I'm giving 5 stars for the excellent service (thank you Kelci), 4 stars for the food, 3 for the atmosphere (kick up the music to add in some modern rock or something!) and 5 stars for cleanliness, parking and location. My family and I like it here a lot. The family that owns/runs it is super friendly and we always have a good meal. They have a lot to choose from and serve breakfast all day. I love the open faced roast beef. The diner could use some updating but they keep it clean. The prices are pretty decent too. I'd give them a try if I were you. read more

Initially, the appearance of this restaurant looked like the Marietta Diner, so my friends and I were excited! However, things went quickly downhill. We were sat for about ten minutes before the waitress took our drinks, and we had to ask multiple times for refills. Many booths were open, so the restaurant wasn't overwhelmed or busy, so I feel that the service could have been just a bit better. The waitress was nice, though, which is a plus. Then, the food came out. My fiancé ordered the crab stuffed shrimp and it came out cold. My friend ordered the swiss and mushroom burger, and the mushrooms were cold and came directly from a can - it was apparent they had never been "sautéed" or even touched a pan. My Reuben was fine. Not spectacular, but it did the job. Overall, it was just kind of a miss for us, especially for the price. read more

Wow what a place! Landmark handled out large group with ease. Waiter was attentive. My coffee was never empty. Breakfast all day was just what we needed after an early game at Berry College! This place is just another City Cafe. They have a large menu, with all these great sounding foods. We ordered the Belgian waffles, gravy biscuits, and grilled cheese. It looks good, but we were shocked. The grilled cheese just had a slice of cheese slipped on there and seemed like it was just heated up in the microwave. How do you mess up a girl cheese? The gravy biscuit was lukewarm and we can get better waffles at waffle house. The service was not bad, they may have been understaffed. Not a very good experience and will not come back. read more

I want to think today just wasn't their best effort - typical post-pandemic staff shortages & long waits. We got seated eventually & ordered around 11:30 am. My Monte Cristo sandwich didn't look great (pic) but tasted fine. I guess theirs doesn't come with powdered sugar. It came with pale, barely-cooked fries. Others in party didn't care for gyro (pre-sliced meat, not carved) & the country-fried steak was deemed tough & lacking. Greek salad was said to have "weird cheese, not feta, or else it's gone bad." I hear breakfast is better. Typical of this style diner, they have dozens if not hundreds of menu choices. Might want to pare it down a bit for quality. read more

I would definitely not recommend this diner to anybody this is the second time I tried this place and this is the second time I got a long black hair in my food not only was the food terrible The service is very slow. And they have no hospitality whatsoever. I ordered a cheeseburger that came with fries. I told the waitress and showed her the hair in my food and then she bring me back a large order of fries which I did not even order that charged me six dollars when I brought it to the managers attention and told them that I did not order a large order and to please just discount the food completely off my bill she argue with me and told me that fries are very expensive and we cannot do that ordered the chicken Parmesan and then what did they do? They gave me burnt chicken. And put my food on a hamburger bun. There was not sincere about the gross hair in my food and. Actually overcharged me for something I did not even order. The manager name is Peggy. Which was very rude. The service was great by the way just a little slow, but I guess because they were busy. I could give landmark family diner. 0 0 I would do that. Definitely do not eat here. I highly recommend just keep driving. Also they're desserts. Look really really old. The place looks really rundown and kind of smelly when you walk in. We popped in for breakfast who visiting in town and had a wonderful experience. The food was great, service timely and courteous, and the restaurant AND bathrooms (!!) we're clean and tidy. The dessert selection was significantly larger than a typical restaurant as they are a bit of a bakery as well. Lots of cakes, cookies, brownies and pie to choose from. The Landmark is a diner with kind of a retro feel. I've eaten here a few times over the years only when someone else wanted to meet for a meal. Certainly wasnt anything to write home about! My husband got paella. Oh my word......the whole octopus/squid was a total turn off. I was raised around paella...this was not good. Was confused as well because the menu said served over noodles(which isn't normal) and it ended up being rice like it should be. I had catfish and a baked potato. Potato was still hard and not baked thru. Bread was ok.....slightly dry. Waiter was very nice and helpful. I ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich. 2 slices of old French toast, on top a slice of ham, turkey, unmelted Swiss cheese. No jelly, no deep fried, no powdered sugar. We also had a chicken Gordon blue sandwich. A frozen, then warmed up piece of chicken, on top a slice of ham and cheese. Very dry. Cold french fries. Way to many items on the menu. Cut half of them, maybe the remaining dishes come out a little better. Very disappointed. read more

First trip to Rome, GA - in town for 4 days for the ACC tennis tournament at the courts nearby. So, we had breakfast here 3 times. It's a solid diner, plenty of seating and reasonable portions of food. I had scrambled eggs and corned beef hash, an omlet, and a biscuit sandwich. All solid. Good, friendly service, at the counter, the tables, and take out. I am sure if I lived in Rome I would be here often. (And I doubt I would ever order the paella - not sure why they have that one menu!) Only regret is that we only had breakfast so didn't have a chance to sample the tasty treats in the bakery case. Marietta Diner this is not. But it is good, not great but good. Service is good, though the server did use the "Not a problem" phrase. Say "you're welcome" people it's not hard. My eggs were actually over medium, as I ordered. The hash browns were greasy but excellent. My wife ordered a gyro and she liked it. The portion was huge as was the price. Definitely skip this restaurant! There's nothing about it that we liked. Firstly, no half/half for the coffee only "coffee whitener" Gross! Next, the eggs benny: neon yellow awful tasting hollandaise, yuck! And the list goes on, cold home fries, below average B&G. And to boot the place is not clean and the server was disinterested. When asked, we told the cashier the food was pretty awful and that we had only ate half of it, and we were given a 50% discount, I'd rather have good food. After looking at the menu online, I was excited to try the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. Upon arrival the place was busy which is always a good sign. Our food finally came, and let's just say I was disappointed. The meatloaf has no taste and really just seemed like hamburger with gravy on it. The green beans were canned so I would definitely recommend skipping those. The mashed potatoes were the highlight of the plate. Light and fluffy. The gravy was ok but very salty. I have lunch here about once a month with family. We've been going there for several years. I am always concerned when a restaurant has an extensive menu...dozens and dozens of choices. I figure they can't do any one thing well. I might be wrong. To day I had the Reuben with pastrami. Pastrami should have a pastrami flavor to it. This sandwich was good but not because it was pastrami. The pastrami didn't have much taste at all. The toast was perfect. The sauer kraut was barely noticeable. Fortunately the sandwich came with Russian dressing and that made it flavorable enough to be enjoyed. The service was below average. Last month I had a quesadilla which was excellent. All the other members of my family seemed to enjoy their meals. I'll continue to go there but I won't expect much and therefore won't be disappointed. read more

It's a fantastic place to go to after shopping at the mall all day or right before heading to the near-by movie theater.
